I was in the area for a church camp event. Please please be aware of your room. I had so many issues. I made reservations for my 3 rooms. The first room occupants arrived, and the room was fine. Me and my sister came on the day of our reservations, but I was told I did not have a reservation for that day. I pulled up my confirmation information online but was told it was not available. Even after showing the manager this information, they still didn't want to honor it. We looked around and called for rooms from other places but no availability for this night. So we paid the extra amount because they would not honor the amounts given and showed on the confirmation email. Next, we, of course, being very tired, was finally able to get some much needed rest. We get to the room, and the pictures I just posted are that what we encounter was horrible. One room had a towel still hanging on the shower rod that was old and dirty (with pubic hairs on it) I proceeded to the front desk and the manager was there. I showed him the pictures and he was like I am so sorry. I asked for new rooms. He offered me a room with a king size bed, it was four people in both rooms. No way 4 people can sleep in one bed. I asked for a refund, he said absolutely not. The staff did not want to do anything. I had to buy things to clean my own room. Not acceptable at all. Please be careful and pay attention to the room.Rooms: Horrible....

Our family checked into about 4 rooms this past weekend and we all agreed that this was probably one of the worst hotels we ve ever been to. Hotel staff (what little they had) was friendly enough when they were paying attention to their posts. But that s about where it ended. Someone was at or near the front desk only occasionally. And half of the time the staff had personal phone calls on speaker while you were trying to talk to them.Upon check-in to the room, there was a funky smell as soon as you walked in. There were dead roaches on the floor after house keeping had just gotten done cleaning. Everyone in all 4 rooms weren t sure if our sheets had actually been changed or just flipped over as our sheets were inside out and stained. The carpet that runs up the wall a couple of inches is peeling away, there are holes everywhere from the floors to the walls. The showers have absolutely no water pressure and the water only stays hot for a couple of minutes. A shower feels like you re being bathed by a baby s sprinkler. My husband s Xanax prescription went missing from the room while we were out. I m not pointing fingers but it had felt like someone was in the room while we were gone. Our things had been moved around the room and a dirty sheet in the bathroom had went missing. Not to mention all of our towels had went missing? Except for the two we had used that morning. Even the clean ones. The breakfast bar left a lot to be desired. They had no water, but you could pay $2 for a bottled water. There was also only decaf coffee because the regular coffee was frozen and the staff couldn t be less bothered. There were stations to prepare waffles but no waffle maker, probably because of the roaches.The morning of check out, as we were saying our goodbyes to family, I passed by our room (that we hadn t checked out of yet) and our door was wide open with the curtains pulled open when I had 100% left the curtains and door closed. My husband and I were the only ones with keys (allegedly).Overall, all 18 members of our family left with a bad taste in our mouths for this place, so much so that we had to write a review.Noteworthy details: Hotel is falling apart, infested with bugs, understaffed, stealing.

We went to Canton for a family wedding and had a total of 7 rooms. The hotel is badly in need of an update. No water pressure, hot water doesn t last for a full shower, meds disappeared in one room, no working TV or shower head in another, No Coffee for breakfast, was told to drink the decaf, not in this lifetime. Stale breakfast breads and no fresh fruit. Some staff were helpful others didn t seem to care. Won t stay here again.Food & drinks: Not good.

Book a double bed with this place online got there to check in the guy behind the desk wanted charge me a extra fee for my 2 small kids.. I argue with him to get him to explain how double bedroom that sleep 4 people u want to charge me extra $23 to 30$ for my kids mind it s just my husband and I and our 2 small kids. 4 people before I can get my point across he already cancel my reservation that I had paid for online and it s late night and I m here in town trying to find another hotel with my small kids. Thanks for the worst first time experience at Laquita In canton MS

I don't know why this place is getting bad reviews. Room was clean, bed was super comfy, no bugs, shower was nice and hot, biscuits and gravy was delicious. Good service good location.Safety: Felt safe

This place is horrible it's dirty and nasty the staff is rude and not helpful. Always away from the desk breakfast yuck I hated this place stains on the towels and sheets bathroom so dirty

The room wasn t really clean. Need new pillows, the bedding had stains, the mattress was trash. The hotel put a mattress pad on the bed and it was oversized and lumpy. There was tissue stuffed in the towel rack to hold it in place. No closet, no iron and the toiletries had been used. To top it off the room had a smell. We were stuck here because it was last minute. This hotel was literally terrible. Would not recommend.

The hotel is supposed to be non-smoking. The entire 3rd floor smelled of weed. I thought I was going to get a contact high. It sits right on the freeway, so every truck exiting using their engine brake, you will hear, hopefully you're not a light sleeper like me, so I got maybe 3 hours of sleep. It's definitely not a place I would stay again. La Quinta used to be a decent hotel, not this one.

Hotel is dirty. Not sure sheets on our bed were clean sheets. We found stuff on the sheets. Bathroom was dirty. Shower is gross.Rooms: Dirty hotel.

We had reservations here booked two months in advance and we verified those reservations two weeks prior to our arrival. When we came to check in we were told that we did not have rooms available. Very disappointing.

The pillows are flat and uncomfortable. The interior is poorly painted. the walls are so thin that everytime someone else opens their door, you can hear it close. you can also hear the very busy highway. the wifi is bad. the bed is hard. some lamps don t work in the room. the whole building was built very poorly. not worth the money spent.

Room was ok, some stains on bed covers.Coffee pot had to be moved to make coffee because cord was unplugged and didn't reach the outlet. House keeping woke me up at 8:30 am banging on the door to clean the room. Which was very not cool. I asked for late checkout since I was bothered while trying to rest. They said they would not give me a late checkout. I stay in 4-6 hotels per week. I don't think I will be staying there again...

Staff was extremely friendly. Most of the staff were hard to understand but still very nice.Unfortunately, the hotel itself was pretty much a disaster. Looks like they tried to remodel the first floor and third floor, and maybe did the work themselves. Elevator was always dirty. Water was coming out of the laundry area into the hall near the elevator. 2nd floor was a nightmare, awful smell, toilets were stained yellow and black, shower stained yellow and orange, mold galore. Our room had an AC leak (so we think) so there was always a big wet section near the window. Our floor was also very uneven, probably due to the water damage, not sure. Cables for Direct TV were unplugged but we fixed the issue, remote had no back. Furniture old, outdated, and appeared chewed on? Mini fridge and the microwave, however, seemed newer and clean. We sprayed and wiped all surfaces in the room as we were a little paranoid about it being so dirty. Did not see any bugs during our stay.The 'breakfast' consisted of a muffin and bottle of water.$20 pet fee per night was very high considering it didnt appear that they cleaned up very much at all.We were unable to check in at 3pm check in time because our rooms were not ready. We were told there were only 2 African guys cleaning rooms and that they were behind. It was very difficult to get new towels for our room, they were always 'out' of clean towels.I would not suggest staying here unless absolutely necessary. (We were evacuated for Hurricane Ida)

This used to be a nice LaQuinta. Something strange happened since we stayed here 2 years ago. Shoddy workmanship in the bathroom caused standing water in one corner of tub sill. No bath mat. Empty soda bottle under the sink. The suite was missing furniture like tables and chairs. It was like a bare room with loveseat, desk, refrigerator.The room smelled like cheap bug spray. It did seem fairly clean. We were given three towels, they said additional towels are $10. The back door makes a loud bang! upon closing so we heard that all night.The windows rattled all night. Of course it s not management s fault the wind blew all night but overall there seemed to be an odd state of disrepair.Again not management s fault but there was a lot of loud noice all night, people coming and going, talking, walking around above us. I guess it was party time on Saturday night.

I would advise not staying here. I paid extra for a suite, which was a complete joke...yes the suite was roomy, BUT there was almost no furniture! besides the cabinet the tv was on there was a couch and a bed...That's it! Not even a coffee table! It was weird. Then in the morning I went down for breakfast (served 6-10) at 815 and there was essentially no food left, nothing hot left...just corn flakes and Cheerios and NO MILK. The workmanship: carpentry etc was shoddy at best...marginal service. Most La Quintas do not charge extra for up to 2 dogs, one of the main reasons I stay there, and here there was no mention of a dog fee until I checked in... won't be staying here again.

Awful hotel and staff. I ve been getting harassed about checking in asap since we would be paying upon check in but was told I would have to wait till check in time when I finally arrived. I just don t get the point of being harassed by the staff when I clearly chose I would be paying once I got here. The staff is also incredibly rude and obviously don t care for the clients who come through. please stay elsewhere because even at this affordable price I would much rather stay at a motel. Will definitely be telling all my relatives and friends to avoid this hotel at all costs.

DO NOT GO HERE!! I DIDN'T EVEN GET IN THE DOOR GOOD!!Just checked into the hotel & my normal routine whatever hotel that I patronize, sprayed bed bug spray around the beds perimeter & disinfected with lysol & when I began to pull the cover back a little friend (a roach) emerged & immediately I went to the front desk to request a refund & the front desk attendant..Him: .."would you like another room?"Me: I will not be staying in this hotel at all! (politely & stern)Him: "we do not have roaches, someone must've brought them in."Me: "Sir, can I please just have a refund".. thinking to myself.."why is he so angry & aggressive?!!?Long story short, got a refund & made my way to the exit sign at the front door

Had a very enjoyable stay. The front desk staff was fast and courteous during check-in and check-out. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The property was clean and i saw staff cleaning and wiping constantly. Breakfast was only coffee, water, and packaged pastries. I understand that with COVID, a full breakfast may not have been feasible, but some juice and fruit would have been nice. Overall, a nice hotel to stay in.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! I had a reservation for Oct 20 -22 that allowed me to cancel up until 6 pm the day of arrival. I called prior to 6 pm spoke to a man at the location. He refused to let me cancel. Said he "had to speak to management". so I cancelled online and received a cancellation code. My $ was also refunded. The next day I get a call asking if I'm coming. I say no, not only did I call you to cancel and you wouldn't let me, I cancelled online. He proceeded to argue with me and charged my card again anyways basically stealing from me holding up $ while I was traveling. Same old crock story "have to talk to management". Monday rolled around nothing. Not only will I be disputing the charge b/c I have proof and a cancellation code. I will be contacting MS State attorney general, la Quinta corporate and filing a police report for unauthorized charges. DO NOT book here. Awful. They refused to let me cancel within the allowed time and charge me after I received a refund! Crooks!

We were wonderfully surprised with the quality of this place. Really soft beds with high thread-count (probably 600+) cotton sheets - fridge+microwave. Hot breakfast was elaborate - with plenty of choices. The facility has indoor gym/pool etc (we didn't use it though). Absolutely, didn't expect this as the price we paid. The lady who owns the property was extremely friendly and oversaw that everyone got their breakfast timely and properly.
