Don t let the outside fool you. This isn t your average small town bed & breakfast! From the moment you step through the door at the Cart Barn Inn you are met with that I m home feeling. Brett and his family are truly the epitome of southern hospitality. Each room is incredibly roomy and it feels like you re staying with family. That family theme continues on Saturday and Sunday mornings when they cook up a delicious southern breakfast. If you want to feel safe, comfortable and kindness, stay at the Cart Barn Inn. I promise you won t regret it! Thank you for the Brett for the love and kindness you showed our family this weekend.

This hotel was a saving grace to my partner and I. We were hungry and tired, and been on the road all day. We found this place by chance and oh my gosh, this lodging is exquisite. The rooms are so stunning the grounds are beautiful, all the way down to the fire pit. The husband and wife who run the place welcomed us with open arms: they made us cake before bed and had coffee brewing first thing in the morning. The towels were awesome and it was just a perfect stop.Rooms: Can t believe how stunning the rooms are.Safety: I felt safe as could be.Noteworthy details: Beautiful location and amazing hosts.

This Bed and Breakfast is definitely a 5 star located off the beat path. First of all Brett Leigh and his wife Dana extended award winning hospitality. From spacious rooms to Dana s baked goods. The ambiance and the quiet laidback atmosphere is priceless. Not only is the bed by far one of the most comfortable I slept but home style breakfast is second to none. Rooms are huge and it s very cozy with everything provided for a very comfortable stay. The outdoor area has everything needed to enjoy the changing weather so you able to enjoy anytime of year. My favorite is the gazebo with gas fire pit for all yr long enjoyment. Recommend this for a couples getaway or just in the area for whatever brings you here. This is also available venue for events such as weddings reception or just a family gathering. Unfortunately I didn t take a before picture of my room but I wanted to show size of room.

I came with 2 others for a place to sleep and eat breakfast before watching an Ole Miss game. What we got was far better then a basic bed and breakfast. The service without question is the best I've seen accross any hotel, bed and breakfast, or the like. They give the full nine yards of southern hospitality! The place is beautiful and comes with things a hotel just cant offer while providing everything you would come to expect. The beds are nice, everything works, and the breakfast is to die for. They asked for requests the day we stopped in and remembered when we woke up. Each room here has a personality, and the patio area in the back really completes the homey feel. Thank you so much for having us!

We stayed two nights here and had an amazing experience. The owners are very nice and very accommodating. The room was very nice and HUGE! The bed is probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! Very nice back patio with a nice view and friendly people. Can't say enough good about this place. If we ever find ourselves in the area again we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Thank you Brett and Cart Barn Inn! My parents, brother, and I stayed at the inn while in Bruce. The southern hospitality was an amazing gift, from the strawberry cake in the evening, the breakfast with chocolate biscuits, and friendship cake as a take home treat! My father continues to tell everyone about the breakfast. The rooms were spacious and clean and all beds very comfortable. The Cart Barn Inn is well worth a stay.

We had such a wonderful vacation and it s because of our stay at the Cart Barn Inn. Kay is the best hostess, and makes you feel like family. From the time we walked in the door till we hugged Kay goodbye we knew we had formed a very special bond with a very special lady. Breakfast every morning was delicious, my bed was so comfortable, and there are too many things to list. We will definitely stay at this lovely place again.

Kay is the kindest hostess ever! This lady goes to the greatest length to insure a proper southern lodging experience. Her breakfast is delicious and beautifully presented. We were blown away by the town of Bruce. The restaurants and diners and shops and boutiques are so welcoming and reasonably priced. And at the mention of Kay from the Cartbarn Inn , if more sweetness could be squeezed from these folks, you received bigger grins and tell her we said hi! There s definitely a racket going on here. Her guests benefit from it.The fire pit and Beanbag toss game in the backyard that is so warmly decorated, sets an evening mood for a relaxing night s rest. This precious lady and her inn cannot be beat.

Staying at the Cart Barn is the closest thing to a home away from home. Nothing beats the personal touch Kay brings to the inn. Not to mention the breakfast is homemade and fresh every morning. I highly recommend staying there for any event in Oxford; it is worth the drive to stay somewhere peaceful. Make sure to take a book outside to read on the back porch and relax. We love the Cart Barn!

We stayed here last night for a 4-h show, and it was AMAZING! The inside and outside look like they are straight out of a hallmark movie! The inside looks so beautiful and antique! The outside has a bonfire pit, and little sitting swings for the kiddos! The room was great, and the breakfast.... THE BEST EVER! The breakfast was the best I have had in my life! I ate everything on the plate! Mrs. Kay that owns it treats you like family, and is the sweetest. And lastly, our first night she had chocolate chip cookies that were great! I 100% recommend coming!

We love Ms. Kay! She is an absolute delight, her service is impeccable and highly personal. She makes an amazing breakfast and pays attention to all the details. Her Inn is cozy and feels like home, with beautiful furniture and a comfortable atmosphere. If I am without a camper for my future visits, I will definitely be staying here, as there is nowhere comparable in town. I've recommended her to all my family for their stays in town as well. Thanks, again, Ms. Kay!

My mother was born in Bruce MS and we stopped while traveling to see the local museum and visit ancestors graves. Decided to stay the night and was directed to this charming inn. The rooms are HUGE, immaculate and beautiful. Miss Kay makes you feel at home. Delicious breakfast and southern hospitality. Already planning another visit when things are green again!

I had my wedding in Bruce on June 2 2018. I made reservations at The Cart Barn Inn, along with all my bridesmaids, and mother that came from Fl. I must say that our stay here was the best experience I have ever had. Ms.Kay is the sweetest, most caring women I have met in a long time. She made our stay feel so welcoming. She made us Breakfast every morning and it was delicious. The room are amazing, beautifully decorated ,and very clean. And what's so even more amazing is the price is very reasonable. Thank you for making my wedding weekend prefect.

We were traveling through, had a reservation at another hotel but arrived and they were all sold out. After a desperate call and arriving very very late, Kay rescued us with a wonderful room. She was so sweet and our stay was lovely. Would have enjoyed staying longer.. Thank you and God Bless.

So cute, peaceful, cozy, great for family time or girls weekend or even romantic get away. Close to Oxford, and a much nicer and more bang for your buck then staying in Oxford or Batesville. You can rent one room or all ten if you have a group. Ms Kay has taken great care of my family and I, from her homemade breakfast to the clean cozy rooms. I mean spotlessly perfect!

I'm a huge fan - the Cart Barn Inn (CBI) could not be a more welcome, and unique, addition to the slim menu of lodging options in Calhoun County, MS. Most importantly, the rooms are very large and the beds extremely comfortable it must be the down toppers on the mattresses and down duvets. Water pressure and hot water were plentiful and the furnishings and dcor tasteful, with each room a unique theme. While there were numerous other guests in the Inn the nights I stayed, I never heard them - and I m a light sleeper so the design, construction and management of the inn is optimized for privacy. The common areas (reception/breakfast room and a long hallway leading to guest rooms) are very tastefully decorated and each wall hanging and memento on every table or bookcase beckons vistors to stop and peruse. The Inn s history is fascinating and well documented in framed newsprints and photos in the hallway and were a lot of fun to explore.Breakfasts were different each day and always delicious -- and of course cooked to order. The proprietor Kay offered a number of options for breakfast every morning and coffee/tea service and snacks were available throughout the day. There was an ice machine - great for filling coolers and evening cocktail glasses - as well as a refrigerator full of drinks (billed separately) in a common lounge. The outdoor areas are as inviting as the guestrooms. There is a screened-in porch, with roll-down walls and a propane heater for the winter months and a fire pit in the midst of a patio looking into nearby woods with what looked like an endless supply of firewood. A half-bath is next to the patio, making it a full-service entertainment venue. There is also a gazebo and big fenced yard in case energetic youngsters need a place to burn off energy. The patio and porch would be a whole lot of fun to lounge in three seasons a year.EV/RV Charging: Just beyond the Inn s fenced backyard are two 30 amp RV style electrical receptacles, (TT-30R) in case you re driving an electric car or RV. There are also a number of 120 VAC outdoor outlets on the Inn s exterior from which 15A juice can be trickle-charged.The Cart Barn Inn is one of those few destinations that would be fun to return to for no other reason than simply being there. Family business brought to the Inn for my first visit, but I m already conjuring excuses to go back, just to immerse myself in the Inn and its surroundings. CBI is a keeper!
