They were called on by my road service to help getting a tongue lock off my R Pod. They responded quickly and came prepared. Very friendly people over there.

Crooks and Sleezy. Overpriced and not responsive to insurance matters. Do not use and do not call if you can help it. Call someone else for towing and or for a mechanic. I have no idea how they got the five stars; they have to be false.

My teenage son was arrested for reckless driving and fleeing the law enforcement around 9 pm on Friday and Berg s Towing was in charge of towing the vehicle. Shortly after he was arrested, I was called by the sheriff to pick my son and told to call Berg s towing for the vehicle. I called Berg s towing around 11pm to see if I can pick up my car, but was told that it is out of office hours. They also said that the office is closed over the weekend. They did not offer any options to pick up my car, like charging extra for out of office hours or weekend hours charge. To make matters worse, my second car stopped dead in its tracks the following morning when my wife was taking me to work, and had to be towed.In desperation, I called the deputy that arrested my son to see if he could call Berg's towing, so I could pick my car up, which he did. He called me back saying that it is the Towing company policy and that the sheriff's department has no influence there. He also told me that they will not be working on that Monday due to it being Memorial Day. He also told me that I am already on top because he decided not to confiscate the car. A month later, I found out that the reason they did not confiscate the car was because car was under business title and it would be a lot harder to legally justify that.So the sheriff s department decided not to confiscate the car, but the Berg s Towing did.When I called Berg s on Tuesday morning, I was told that it will be $650 for five days. When I complained that Friday 9pm to Tuesday 2pm is not even a full four days and that the car is only for 3 hours on Friday, the guy on the phone just disrespectfully repeated Yep Yep, Yep. He also told me that they accept only cash.When I came to pick my car up, the guy did not know where my car was nor did he know how to print the invoice. Also, he tried to give me the piece of paper where my car keys were attached. It took about 45 minutes to locate and bring my car and to print an invoice with minimal info on it.These people are rip offs and scavengers, with the practice of trying to make maximum profit on people who are faced with difficult times. They are intentionally not providing for out of office hours just to make easy money that they did not earn. I could imagine any person of any age, barely making ends meet, living paycheck to paycheck, and Berg s Towing is confiscating their vehicle for inability to pay. The Sheriff s department should work with towing companies that are honest and accommodating, and not these crooks.Stay away from Berg's Towing.Service: Car towing

My van broke down on Highway 60 after I dropped kids at Camp Victory. Berg s was super responsive and respectful & came within minutes. After my car was towed to a local auto repair shop, the driver made sure I got to a safe, well lit place to wait for my ride home. Highly recommend!Service: Car towingService: Car towing

Berg s Towing Rocks!!!!! SNOW EMERGENCY!!!My car would not start, had to be moved, I called and Berg s was here in 35 minutes.John the driver is such a sweetheart, very helpful and polite, he had no problem with moving my car from the side street to in front of my house (which was about 50-60 feet).John, you saved the day and made my week!! Thank you so very much, you saved me from getting a ticket and a trip to the impound lot, not to mention all the green backs I would of had to pay to get my car out.My faith in humanity has been restored!!Thanks again and God Bless you,Sally KirchhamerP.S. We were stranded on East 60 outside of Zumbrato on our Harley, on a Sunday. The bearing went out on the ramp. We called our roadside assistance. Because Matt wasn't home we had to wait for him to drive back. But when he was able to get to us he was a rock star!! He loaded us up and brought us the 59 miles to a cycle repair shop near our house. He was professional, efficient, friendly and quick. Highly recommend him!

He went the extra mile that my insurance company did not do and made a what could have been a stressful situation seamless from my first call to delivery of my deer hit vehicle to the designated body shop. The driver showed up promptly and helped me with my seized lugnuts on my flat tire. He did not want to tow me if we could prevent it, so he went back to the shop and got his impact to assist me. Great service! I would recommend them to anyone in the area!Service: Tire changeService: Tire change

I suffered a very serious car accident recently and Matt the owner picked me up on the side of the road and also took my vehicle to the twin cities for salvaging. I am very thankful for Matt. He picks up his phone within seconds and remembers all of his customers - couldn't ask for a more helpful tow truck driver during a very stressful event in my life!

This place is a Better Business Bureau-level rip off. The huge dramatic list of shady practices (at least involving towing) that happened during my one transaction are what I might expect in South Chicago or maybe the DMZ : ) Anyway he must know who to please in the community because he has a good rating. For me I'd say he's very smart criminal.

I called Berg's from a different state when a family member went into the ditch just outside Zumbrota and didn't know what to do. I spoke with Matt on the phone and told him where they were, he went out onto the highway and got my sister pulled back onto the road and on her way quickly and safely. It was great to know Matt was out there taking care of her when I was hours away, I wouldn't hesitate to call Berg's again and definitely would recommend them to others!

For what it s worth, I have worked in the service industry and because of that, I don t usually make complaints because most incidents are honest mistakes. This incident was not an honest mistake, though. That said, I still hate complaining...but I don t want anyone to have to deal with a similar incident :(I was set up with Berg s Towing through my insurance s roadside assistance. Because we were going to be a little ways away, didn t have good phone service, and they were going to be a few hours out, we agreed to have them tow my car unattended. They did arrive earlier than estimated. When they arrived, a couple of my relatives were fishing nearby. They told me when they met back up with us that Berg s had towed my car by pulling the front end, despite knowing the damage to the car was one of the back wheels (the wheel was crooked) and it should have been put on a flatbed. When one of my relatives questioned them about it, the response was that it was fine . They told me how bad it sounded as my car was pulled away. With no one knowing what the extent of the damage was at that point, I was anxious, imagining the wheel falling off as they were driving. Thankfully, it didn t. However, when I picked my car up from the shop it was towed to (not Berg s Repair), I discovered the crooked wheel had burned a hole through my fender well. I was fortunate that the tire was not significantly worn, due to the short duration of the tow. An estimate said it would be about $300 to fix. Berg s is not taking responsibility for the damage they caused.My car is not new or fancy, but it is still my property that I trusted them with and they chose to treat carelessly. I would advise caution if you use their services, and definitely be present when they pick up your vehicle. I m glad my family members happened to be there to witness Bergs unprofessional actions, as the damage is in an inconspicuous area and I may not have discovered it so soon.

I would highly recommend not using them if possible. The owner is a scam. I had put my truck in a ditch wich it was fine and just needed towed out but he kept saying its totaled and he has to take it to his shop. So that being my only option, I did it and went to get it later that day and he gave me a fake location and told me I have to wait a few days for a price. I finally find my truck without his help and demand he meets me there and he then goes to tell me it's going to be $700 for towing it out of the ditch, or I could just give him my truck for the tow bill. I asked for a recipe and some type of charge sheet and he wouldn't provide one. After trying to get my truck for like 300 I finally just had to give him 400 so I could have my perfectly fine vehicle back. Complete scam.

Jack A$$. Charge a 19 year old kid an outrageous price to yank him out of the snow cause you're a big man to takes advantage of young inexperienced people. Sad. I'm sure you're thinking "you have to pay to learn a lesson" when you should be thinking about the image you set for your business on how you handle your day to day interactions no matter the who that customer isService: Car towing

The owner is an absolute rude scam artist. I had a bad reaction to meds and was taken into police custody, he had the nerve to tell me it was $170 to tow and $50 each day but they re not not open so he s charging me $100 Even though my car hasn t been in the lot for 24 hours, it s been less than 12. Do not trust this place. Worst customer service I ve ever seen from a tow company, the only reason they re in business is because they re in a small town.Service: Car towing

This tow company is becoming more like family everytime I use them. They never say no, they are usually there pretty quick and they can bill direct which saves a ton of time. Best by far for service.

We needed help along Hwy 52 S and thankfully the State Patrol hooked us up with Berg s! Kind and helpful! If you need something in his area don t hesitate to call!

Broke down on the side of the highway, while I was on my way to a weeding. Driver got there in a timely fashion, figured out what the problem was, and was able to tell the mechanic what ti was to save time on getting it fixed. Honestly couldn't have asked for better service....And they take AAA.

Never came even after talking to the owner on phone, left me stranded. AAA operators were also very frustrated with this tow company. Will never use (I would say "again" but they never showed up!)

Had a great experience with getting a flat tire changed, picked me up off the side of the road and took it in to get filled up then brought me back. Great people to work with.
