After dealing with a few shops and then having this one recommended to me from a friend I didn't know what to expect but I am over the moon. They really do a good job of communication and showing what is wrong with your vehicle through reports, inspections and photos. I am very impressed with Ryan and the mechanic that was working on my vehicle. They asked really good questions to help narrow down what the issue truly might be. Between two old Chevy's, a lot of places put parts in without truly solving the issue. That is not the case with Joe's. This will be the only place I will go or recommend to anyone going forward.

I am over the moon and totally in love with Joe's Auto & Tire. The inspection process is so thorough and the report is easy to read so I know exactly what I need to have fixed. I love that the inspection report has photos, videos, and categorizes the level of priority to have the issue fixed. The mechanic I had for 20 plus years is no longer available to work on my vehicle but I have found a new home for my vehicle to be taken care of for the next 20 plus years. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a reasonable, transparent, honest, and affordable mechanic to try Joe's Auto and Tire. You will not be disappointed and may keep them like I am for the next 20 plus years!

I had gone to previous shops and never got the thorough care that this shop gives. They provide photos of your vehicle and have a friendly attitude. They were able to fix up my car and give me updates whenever I called. I appreciated how communicative they were as well as personable - this is my new auto shop.

I recently purchased a newer vehicle and had to replace the wheels. I made an appt at Joe's for early morning drop off and Stefan provided to me ride to and from work. They performed a courtesy inspection and found items that needed to be addressed and were extremely thorough and provided me a list along with photos of what they found. The staff at Joe's are very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I definitely recommend and will be utilizing their services again!Service: Air conditioning

I dropped off my car early because I was in town early. They laughed at me and told me that it didn't matter when I dropped it off, they had no intention of looking at it until after they got back from lunch. I was not asking for my car to be looked at early, but they assumed I was, and then proceeded to malign me as if I were trying to cheat the system. I did not realize they were affiliated with Firestone, and I have also had bad experiences with them, so this was just bad all around. They also quoted me thousands of dollars for work that was not necessary. I went to a different shop three days later and got the problem fixed for a few hundred dollars. I do not trust these people and will not go back.

This is THE MOST HONEST auto store I have dealt with. You don t get this type of service anywhere. Never try to tell me things I need that I don t. Very refreshing. No matter how busy they are, and boy are they busy, they ALWAYS take their time with you and always friendly. We don t take our vehicles anywhere else since finding Joes. I think it s been 7 years now.

Winona, Minnesota, was not supposed to be a part of our road trip from Michigan to Montana, but we have to say we are so glad it was. At 7:00am, we were shocked when we called Joe's tire about our wheel bearing going and the fact they answered that early and told us what roads to take to get us safely to their shop. They had our vehicle in their shop within 30 minutes, a text within 15 minutes with a video of the issue and saying it would be done within an hour. We were back on our road trip within two hours! That is high QUALITY service! We are so thankful for their help, kindness and speediness! The fixed the issue correctly because we made it 3200 miles with no issues. Shout out to the amazing beauty around Joe's as we took the most beautiful walk on their two lakes. Thank you!Service: Auto brake repair

Awesome experience- our daughter is at college in Winona and her car needed new tires and more. Ryan was super communicative with timing, options, prices, and priorities. Had my truck in today for new Firestone Destination XT tires. Left it for the day while I was at work. Ryan communicated with me throughout the day and sent me the visual inspection for my truck. As a female college student, I definitely have a lot of wariness when it comes to autoshops and my car. Initially, I went in to get an oil change and asked them as well to look at my brakes because they were squealing whenever I would brake. I did have to wait in the shop for a while (3-ish hours), but I appreciated the time they took to truly make my car as perfect as they could. I'm sure it would have been much shorter had I only received an oil change. They give you an inspection report at the end which is super user friendly (with pictures and videos along with some helpful clips of what things are in your car) and so helpful in terms of figuring out what I actually need to fix. Ryan was super honest with me in terms of what I needed to fix and I ended up walking out of the shop having only paid a tenth of what I thought I was going to pay so that definitely was a plus! All in all, I would definitely recommend giving this shop a try (especially in comparison to Walmart)! As far as I can tell, my car's brakes are not squealing anymore, and when they found stuff that was actually dangerous, they took time to explain to me what it was and showed me video of it so I knew what I was looking at. I have been bring my car to Joe's Auto & Tire for years. The staff are very friendly and personable, professional and knowledgeable about vehicle repair and vehicles in general. I have routine oil changes and all of my vehicles needed repairs done at Joe's. I am very confident in the work that is completed. Also, they are accommodating with scheduling appointments. . I wasn't able to get our vehicle in to be serviced locally so I decided to check out Joe's Auto & Tire. The reviews were excellent & I was impressed the minute I walked in the door. The staff was incredible, they are quick to communicate & send you a text with a detailed report while working on your car so you can see exactly what they are doing. I was able to use the wifi & complete some work while they worked on our vehicle. Joe's Auto & Tire definitely provides top-notch automotive services & we would highly recommend this repair shop!Service: Tire rotations

The service was great, they fixed the issue in a timely manner. I liked the email they send with diagnostics of your vehicle. My problem was the price. I understand when you ask a mechanic for a "ballpark" it will never be exactly that number. However, the ballpark quote was $600, the final bill came out to over $1400. They include part numbers in the receipt so I looked them up online, for the power steering pump the first couple websites I clicked on showed $200-220, they charged over $500 for it. Along with close to $200 an hour in labor. Again, the service itself was great and they do great work, just be prepared to spend more.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I did business with fleet farm for 30 years. My son bought 4 new tires from them and have had continuous problems with air leaking out of them. They are worn to a 4 after only one year. The company will not replace the tires as they said he didn t have a line of beads put on the rim within this year. Never heard of such a thing. It s sad that someplace you ve done a ton of business with and had trust in the company for so long ends up like our case. Anyways, I have two cars and needed to find a new place to have the cars serviced. Thought I d give Joe s a try and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the place is and the friendly service. Found it awesome that they pull up on the computer pictures of the inspections and even email a copy for your records. I plan on the next 30 years, ( God willing) to take my cars needs over to Joes. The customer service provided by Stefan and Ryan at the Winona location is top notch and the pricing for the quality received at Joe's is unbeatable. Overall good experience, only problem is when they mounted my new tires, they didn t take the time to clean off some sort of residue. Now I have brand new tires that look yellow

I just went in to get tires mounted and balanced. The front desk was friendly and welcoming. They would keep you informed and let you know if they found anything else. It was top notch!

I've had my vehicle service twice now at Joe's Auto and Tire in Winona, MN and both times have been excellent experiences. Even though parts were hard to find for one repair and both times had set backs I was more than pleased with the results and was kept in the loop with the status of the repair. Every time I go inside to drop my vehicle off I'm met by either Ryan or one of the other employees at the shop who are more than willing to help me.

Spot on customer service. I had two vehicles have issues in the same week. Joe's was extremely helpful, I love the text and email with pictures of what was wrong and items they think should be fixed. Got my cars in and out in a couple of days and everything in them is working great. The people here were very helpful. I got a detailed diagnostic of my car, as well as a perfect job well done by the technician. I regularly use Joe s Tire & Auto for basically anything my car needs. I recently had an oil change and a tire rotation done and everything was great. I especially love that with every service they provide a packet of information about your car with pictures and really back everything down so you understand what is going on with your car.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

Not gonna lie. The guy at the service desk got kind of rude a couple times. I think he was just stressed out by how busy they are, but still.... Kind of made you feel like you should be begging to give them business. Sign of the times I guess. They did a fine work putting my winter tires on last November. Don't think I will go back though.

Little on the expensive side but they do allow you to buy parts elsewhere and they'll use those so that's a plus for me. Store manager is GREAT!! Stephan is his name very helpful and he smiles don't get that a lot in customer service anymore. It goes along way with me

Great place to get tires mounted, that seems to be it. My sister took her vehicle here yesterday to get tires mounted, she called them to check on her car and they said they have been working on it, but couldn t do an alignment that they had asked if she wanted because her bushings are in pieces . After an hour of them mounting 2 tires (a job that should take 30 mins max, and that s if you don t know what you re doing) she was able to pick up her car and came over to get the bushings checked, and they re in great condition, we know this wasn t being used as a money making scheme because they never offered to do them. I figure the real reason was because they were either too lazy to do the alignment, or the bolts were too rusty. I would ve rather had either one of those excuses than a blatant lie. I d hope if this were ever actually true for a future customer, Joes stresses the importance of replacing these bushings, and that they aren t sent on their way with a bushing related to the alignment being basically non existent. To top this all off, whoever was taking her lug nuts off couldn t figure out that 2 of them were a different size and got them stuck in a socket so she was charged for having them replaced, which isn t a big deal, I just wish someone with a bigger brain was doing the work and could ve realized that and saved her the $16 for 2 lugs.Service: Tires

Needed a new tire. No other auto shops in the area had my tire size and ordering would take a week+. These guys were able to order my tire and get it in the next day. I first went to Joe's in January for an oil change and transmission flush. Fast and efficient and during the inspection my rear brake pads were showing a lot of wear. I asked if I could wait a month and was told yes, and scheduled the brake job for the next month. I was given a great explanation, by Ryan, and an estimate of what they would cost. When I came to the shop, they were ready for me and the job was completed very quickly. I was told that the front brakes could wait a little longer, so I returned two months later and had them replaced. Again, I felt things were explained, the mechanics were thorough and the job was done in the expected amount of time.I like the feel of a small shop and the time they took to explain things . I am very satisfied with Joe's Auto and Tire in Winona.
