Said he could look at my truck the following week. After he looked at it he said it would be another week. Now at 4 weeks since dropping it off I call for an update and he tells me just pick it up because he s too busy. And unprofessional on every phone call I ever had with him. Do not go here

Ended up costing me hundreds of dollars more in the long run because he messed my rotors up resurfacing them! I kindly asked for a PARTIAL refund so I could get them done elsewhere and he refused.SEE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU COMPLAINT FOR MY EXPERIENCE AND ALSO AUDIO OF HOW IT SOUNDS WHEN I BRAKE NOW. I got the clutch repaired in my 2010 Kia forte, coupe SX six speed. I called around you about 12 different shops, including all the Kia dealerships in Minnesota, and Kennedy transmission was the cheapest quote for about $1300. Some shops said they couldn t get all the parts so I needed a whole new transmission for $5000. Some even said they couldn t do it at all. I called Kennedy back a month later and was able to get my car in right away. I was amazed at how fast they fixed it in just a couple days and even under what they quoted me. Very very happy with the service I received. Six out of five stars thank you!!!-JoeService: Transmission

Unfortunately, my husband had my secondary vehicle (a Ford Explorer I planned on giving to my 16 year old) towed to Kennedy when the person who borrowed it left it stranded on the side of the road. I have had a couple bad experiences at Kennedy in the past. On this occasion, nobody took down my phone number so it took approximately 6 months to get my vehicle back due to lack of communication. Initially, I asked for an estimate before any repairs. In fact, a sign in the office states that an estimate before repairs is policy. Bullish!!. He replaced the fuel pump without contacting anyone. A repair that cost over $600. I would expect a new fuel filter as well or, at least, would have asked for one had I been contacted. After the vehicle was stalling out, I replaced the fuel filter and gas cap. In less than a month, I had to pay a respectable mechanic to replace the fuel pump .again. This time I only paid $430. Since the vehicle sat so long at Kennedy, I also had a mouse problem inside my vehicle. In my experience, this guy is a misogynist and, at best, very unprofessional. I gave one star because I wasn t charged a storage fee for the time it sat there before and after the repair, which could have been a huge fee. And I think it s only fair to add that I did not contact Kennedy after learning his repairs were bogus. It would have been like asking a thief to hold my wallet.

Brought my truck in for carrier bearing repair. I had new oil in the rear 25 miles on it. Could have just saved it. He charged me $10 to dispose of 2 quarts of gear oil that was good yet. Its $4 a quart. Charged me $20 for 2 quarts of gear oil. Charged me $17.50 for a $1 worth of silicone to seal up the diff. Silicone is $7 a tube and I can do 8 diffs with that tube. The bearing kit was only 130 + tax at any nearby parts store same brand and everything. This guy charged me $325 for the parts. That a 243% upcharge. I paid $95 hr 3.5 hours of labor isnt that enough? A bill that should have only been $485 turned into $722. This guy is a crook pencil whips you. I would go elsewhere.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I've been bringing my vehicle to Jim for a few years now and have always been satisfied. Jim is very passionate about his work. He's very thorough while working on my truck, even if just doing an oil change. Always give the truck a 'look over' but never suggest unneeded repair. For someone who hasn't worked under a hood all my life or know what to look for, I find comfort knowing that I can trust Jim to give me an honest assessment and recommended action. Whether it be an immediate fix or something that can be monitored over the next few visit. He clearly explains his professional opinion, while keep me in mind as well.If you're looking for a a mechanic you can trust. Call Jim and Kennedy Transmission!

Went here for my rear breaks. 2 weeks later had to go back in due to my break being shot, he replaced it for free. Yet 3 weeks now later I m getting them done at Midas an turns out Kennedy s did a half a$$ job an didn t replace the hardware that I told him needs to be done. I don t suggest this shop to anyone an if you re a woman he will treat you as if you don t know anything! Now I m arguing with him for a refund, that I won t get!
