The only place I trust to take my vehicles. Maurice knows his stuff. He is very thorough in his repairs and does solid work. He is also fair priced and upfront/honest about what needs to be done and what can wait. Highly recommended!Added bonus, his assistant Cody is always there to greet with a wagging tail.

Went in to pay for my friends transmission rebuild... I asked if there was a military discount and he said no (that's OK) and proceeded to lecture me about being a bad person for serving my country because I want wars and all the bad stuff that goes along with it (not ok)... I told him as a medic in the air force we have nothing to do with warring against anybody! We don't embrace war, make any decisions about hostilities, or particularly enjoy being involved in any "action"... he didn't get it so we took the rebuild to a different shop!

Maurice is the Best!! We haves used him for our auto service for 20 years!! He always tells us what we need and we trust him. Our daughter brought her car to him after an Honest garage told her she needed thousands of dollars of work done on her car. He fixed the problem for a fraction and the other things that were told to her were not needed!!! Maurice always does great work! Have been with Maurice for over 4 years and 4 vehicles and are very satisfied with the quality of repairs with prices that are reasonable and well below what the typical dealership would charge! He has worked to fit us into his schedule when we have had repair emergencies and has completed the repairs with minimal delay. He is straightforward and honest and repairs only what needs to be fixed.

Maurice is an absolute doll!!! I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years now and he still continues to impress me with his honesty and determination. I have an 89' Camery and he is the only person I truly trust with my fragile and rusty car. Just the other day he could have been a normal mechanic and recommend that I replace a part that would have been a lot of money but instead he took the initiative to get the old working like new! He is a honest and generous man and there is no mechanic that I would recommend or choose over him!

I had Maurice replace my transmission in May 2016. He completed it on time, and though it would have been nice if he had cleaned it up a bit, for the price I was willing to accept it. He not only finished on time but without cost overruns, his estimates aren't BS to get your car on his lift and then start telling you oops it will cost $xxxx more. I waited 19 months to write this review because you can judge a repair by the day one results. He isn't responsible for the transmission itself just the install, and the new unit does shift rough but it it's clear it has nothing to do with the work Maurice performed. His work was high quality and despite the poor transmission, it's still working as well as the oem unit did, I have to say i am fully satisfied. I will return to Maurice for non-warranty work in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the same for others. He is honest and does a nice job at a fair price. What more could you want from an auto mechanic?

Have been using Maurice for 20 years. He is a very honest and through mechanic concerning his work and reasonably priced. Unlike others, he stands behind his work 100%.and if something is not right it will be fixed to your satisfaction. Another big advantage in using Maurice is that he has a loner car for larger jobs. Cannot say enough about my past experiences. Recommend him highly******

I've been using Resurrection Auto for maybe 15 years now. Maurice is very honest and fair. He does not do work that is not needed just to make a sale. His price is very fair and I would highly recommend him if you need repairs to you auto. You can get a quote someplace else and they will probably try to do more than is needed, but go to Maurice and you will save money.

Such an honest and trustworthy guy. Maurice cares about his customers and understands tight budgets. He looked at our two cars and gave us free estimates. He only suggested fixing what needed to be fixed. While he checked out the cars he guided us through the process and pointed out problems. He changed my oil and taught me how to do it. In the process he filled up my transmission fluid, coolant, power steering, and other fluids that were low. It cost me less here than it would've cost to go anywhere from Wal-Mart to any big auto repair shop. Most people now days know very little about vehicles, but Maurice is an expert who is very humble and kind. My family has been going here for years and never once after he fixed something did we have a problem with it again.

You will always save money and be treated fairly. As a woman, every other car repair shop exaggerates my car's issues in an attempt to trick me into spending more money as they assume I don't know anything about auto mechanics. Maybe I don't know, but Maurice does. He is no-nonsense and will tell you straight up if there is anything ACTUALLY wrong and how urgent it is while also giving you the best price for the repair. Nothing like a small business keeping honesty alive for the sake of satisfied customers and money well-earned for their services. If you go anywhere else for car checks or repairs, go to Maurice afterward and see what he has to say--You won't regret it, and it'll save so much money

I have brought a variety of vehicles to Maurice at Resurrection Auto over the last 5+ years. He is very fair and will tell you exactly what does and does not need to be fixed. Last winter I was having trouble with my van. By the time I took it down to Maurice the issue had stopped. He spent about an hour trying to recreate the problem but could not. When I asked him how much I owed him he said, "I didn't fix anything so you don't owe me anything." A few weeks later the van had the same issue and I brought it down right away while it was still doing it. Maurice was able to diagnose the problem within seconds and he had it fixed the next day. Cost to fix it was well below what a dealer would have charged. This guy is honest and trustworthy. Just go here!

I know very little about fixing cars and I have many reasons to believe that I have been taken advantage of by most car repair places I have done business with in the past. Resurrection Auto is a place I can trust for my auto repairs to be done correctly and at the best price.The owner is typically the one who is doing the repair so he is able to articulate the work that is being done to my vehicle. I appreciate how he works to keep his overhead down while providing the best price and service to his customers. He is honest about what work needs to be done and what can wait. He also takes the time to educate me on my vehicle while making suggestions on some DIY things I should be doing to maintain my vehicle.I am so glad I found this place and I hope to do business with Resurrection Auto for all of my auto repair needs of the future.

There are very few honest men out there. Maurice over at Resurrection Auto is one of them. You will never find an honest mechanic like him! He will tell you as it is and provide you with options that best fits your budget and needs. If your car is needing service, I highly recommend Resurrection Auto Repair to be your next stop.

I recently called because my roommate recommended me to this shop since my ac was out. I was told that the mechanic here is a honest kind man of God. When I called to see if I could come in that day. He advised me that I need to drop my car off the next day since he was a one man shop. I ask him a couple questions since I've never been there before and was not able to drop my car off for the whole day.However, he decided to take out his stress and frustration out on me. So we exchange a few words and I hung up on him. I would rather drive in a hot car with my windows down for a little longer. Than trust a rude mechanic with my car. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I also noticed a couple of people below me also experienced his rudeness as well. Please work on your attitude towards potential customers.

I trust the work Maurice does on my car, his prices are fair and he provides quick service. His place might not be the flashiest, but he always does an excellent job with my car. Only place I ever get my car fixed!

Last winter I needed brake lines done. I got the info from a friend. Another place quoted 900 and ended up pay just a little over 300 here. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he s doing. I recommend for anyone to come here fir car repairs!! Maurice did the very best! I came in with a difficult situation and he found a way to help me and fix my car. My side mirror had broke off but it was absolutely shattered. He found a solution and got it done! Absolutely would tell anyone and everyone to go here!

Yes folks, all the reviews are true. This place is awesome. Got an estimate, price was exactly as quoted and the work was done right. I am also confident that Maurice stands beind his work. As long as Resurrection Auto is in business, i'm bringing my car there. When my wifes car needs service, hers is going there too. A Shakopee treasure.

Mike has been servicing our cars for 5+ years and has saved us money over previous shops we used. His quality of service is also excellent. He always sticks to his estimate and gets the job done quickly.

In one word...HONEST. I was very impressed to pleased to find Maurice and Resurrection Auto. The thing that I was impressed with most is that Maurice gives you options and is very conscience of a persons budget when. But he is also very complete and goes above and beyond. I get the feeling that Mauice is a guy that likes what he does.

Very knowledgeable, HONEST and professional mechanic! He does not over charge for services or try and talk you into services you don t need. Straight forward honest work... Love this shop, and keep going back. Mechanic consistently does a phenomenal job, and is very informative and helpful, in every situation. Also affordable compared to other big name shops around town, where teens or young adults are usually working on your vehicle instead of a seasoned veteran.Highly recommend.

Best mechanic in town. Dicovered it after Good Year by Canterbury Rd tried to rip me off telling me my car was unusable and needed to be junked, but that the mechanic that worked on it wanted to buy it from me for $50. I said no, gave it to a friend who gave it to a relative and he fixed it for very little money. That made me look for a new mechanic and think that Good Year is either incomptent or highly dishonest.
