Amazing people work here! Got a flat tire 40 minutes from home and they got it towed and tire replaced with a brand new one in 2 hours! Great customer service! My shepherd, Sheba (95lbs) says they need an extended cab truck, tho!

Happy customer here! I ve got a Toyota tundra with 381,000 miles and these guys help me keep it on the road.They ve actually helped me tow it off the road a couple times too! Great company to work with!

This past weekend my son was making a drive from west WI to Rochester as he often does. Something was in the road and unfortunately it was hit, tearing part of the bumper off of his car. Thankful no injuries or other vehicles were involved. John, I believe, took an anxious call from me, after hours, and was beyond helpful. I am incredibly thankful to say that this shop and the owner went completely above and beyond!He was prompt to answer, listened with kindness and was incredibly accommodating. He booked time for my son to bring his car in, was clear on pricing/process and even followed up with a call to me directly reassuring that everything was okay once he had his eyes on it. Even helped the kiddo tie up a few loose wires and steady some wobbly plastic.There was potential for other damage to have been done and being 4 hours + away from your kids makes things like this challenging! Incredibly thankful for a kind and capable service owner and his generous way of keeping my kiddo (and my sanity) safe. If we ever need services in the area, we will be back.Thank you so much for your help, and kindness. It will never go forgotten!

Easter Sunday, of course, I have brake issues. Car can't be driven and I live in Winona. These wonderful people came and towed me to their shop. First thing Mondaymorning they started workingon my vehicle and had it completed before noon. If I lived in Rochester, Virgil's Repair would be my go to mechanic! Thank you guys, I highly recommend!!!

I m a transplant to Rochester and I can tell you I ve found my go-to service center! Jodi, John and the whole Virgil s family take care of you right. They re flexible, fair and won t do anything without asking first. It s amazing to trust your mechanic and know they will do a good job. 12/10 would recommend to everyone!!

This shop is so comfortable to wait in and they really put a lot of care in the service they provide. They got me in same day and took care of my transmission leak. The techs were informative and so helpful. Jodi offers great customer service and care as well. I ll definitely be coming back to these guys for any needs my car has!

Broke down at target. Virgil s had a tow truck to my car within 10 minutes went to the shop right after and they replaced the battery for me. The whole experience took under one hour.. Extremely kind courteous and just a wonderful experience. It started out a bad day, but turned up a good one. Highly recommend.

I need my Manifold gasket repaired. They give me the bestest price in town and same day service. I called Virgil's,they did a great job. It was very quick. Thanks Virgil's

I ve never been someone to write a poor review, I usually just leave it to God, but I feel like it s necessary to speak up here. A staff at Virgil s lied and said intoxalock sets the prices for install and removal. After talking with intoxalock and two others shops I was very informed to find out that is not true. Intoxalock does not oversee individual shops prices and the shop sets their own. Virgil s charged me $396 total price for removal of my unit in one vehicle and then reinstalled into my new vehicle. Removal was $140 and install was $225 plus tax.Another local shop quoted me prices of $225 for removal and install, but they were out a week and a half and another shop quoted me $321 and they were also out a week. I was forced to pay the $396 because the vehicle I was taking it out of is being sold and I had to get it done asap. I told Virgil s staff about these prices and that if I had a choice to wait I would and they still did not knock off the price at all. Removal of the intoxalock took less than an hour for $160 and I am a single mom, college student asking for a better price :(

We had a flat tire that was totally beyond repair - Virgils installed new tires in a timely manner and the customer service was excellent. An employee even helped us wrestle our 2 car seats out of the car so we could use them in the different car in the meantime.

Fast, friendly service. They were able to jump my dead battery then replace it right away. Met them at the shop and they quickly installed a new battery within minutes.

I got my car serviced for a tire pressure sensor one day and Virgil s team was very fast! They were so friendly, clear in communicating and were accommodating around their office with beverages, temperature and using their space. I will be coming back every time. Thank you!

Get Oil changed at Virgil s alway in/out at appointment time. Also like the mechanic will mention you have a belt, hose, gasket appears to be worn/leaking and some perspective to only watch or get it fixed.

This is the best towing company in Rochester! I wish I could give 10 out of 5 stars. I've used their services on several occasions. This last time, they were 15 minutes early for a tire change. The driver noticed our spare was low but didn't have an air compressor. I didn't notice it, but he did. John, the owner, was there 10 minutes later with the compressor. They also repair tires, so after hours, he had us drive to their shop and fixed our tire right then. We were leaving for a trip the next day, and this action saved us a lot of time and inconvenience. Very reasonable rates, too! The first time we used their services for a breakdown tow, the driver recommended a repair shop that was very reliable and less expensive than others. This has saved us hundreds of dollars over the 10+ years we've used this business. So not only does Virgil's have fast service and responsible drivers, they are willing to go the extra mile and really help you out. three separate businesses said they could tow my vehicle 6 miles, those same three businesses couldn't get the job done. Jon Douglas @ Virgils is the man! Horrible bussiness I got my car fixed for $1300. I wasn't getting my check for 2 more weeks. And they charged me $75 a day for 2 weeks. My bill came out over $2000 for "Storgae" I can't afford to get my car out. These people robbed me for my vehicle . And I will make sure my story is heard. Bad Bussiness Don't ever come here

I had my alternator go out on my Audi A5 on the side of the road a couple months ago and Virgil s was swift to come to the location and was able to get me on their schedule to get a new alternator in. They are hands down the best mechanic shop in Rochester, Mn!

Couldn t get my car started or jumped so I called Virgil s for a tow. They came super quickly and got it to start so I didn t even need the tow, offered to replace my (very old) battery the same day, I was in and out within a half hour, will definitely be coming back!

We ve taken our Honda Accord here for the past 9 years, and most recently brought our Subaru Forester here for an oil change. We started with them when their repair office was next to St. Mary s hospital on 2nd St and we feel a loyalty to them because they have always done outstanding work. The desk staff are extremely helpful and the mechanics are knowledgeable and trustworthy. They have diagnosed more crucial car problems as well as changed our battery and have done multiple oil changes. Definitely recommend!

We had Virgil's changed the oil, rotate the tires, and replace the brake pads and rotors on our Toyota Camry. I was impressed with their service. We dropped the car off around and 8:20 in the morning and they called us before noon saying they had everything ready to go. I felt like the pricing was very fair as well.

They're amazing. John helped me tow my car when it wasn't starting and fixed the problem for me in the same day! He was very helpful and understanding of my situation/money troubles and worked with me to figure out a fair end total price. You can tell they love what they do. Service went above and beyond. They're honest & true to their work. Definitely will be the first place to call if I ever need advice or help again. 10/10 would recommend any day. ((:

The staff member who assisted me was prompt and extremely helpful in rectifying the main cause of problems with my vehicle. The office staff person Jody kept me informed. I am positive I would recommend Virgil s in the future.

I used to always take my vehicles to the dealership but after an incident I had Virgils saved my butt and the warmth i felt for them made me want to give them my business. They did an exhaust job for me that the dealership was going to charge me almost $200 more for. I will be using them for all my future vehicle repairs.

Virgil s from start to finish has been phenomenal, definitely the best mechanic in town. They offered me a quote to replace ac compressor significantly lower than any mechanic around. Everyone was extremely helpful and polite. Will definitely use Virgil s for ALL of my mechanical needs.
