I needed two snow tires on my daughters car, which already had two good snow tires on it. I ordered the tires online from Walmart. When they arrived at the store, I scheduled an appointment via telephone, which is what the person working the counter had told me to do; rather than book online.We dropped off the car just before 10am, which is when our appointment was scheduled. The work did not even start until nearly 1pm. When I stopped in to check on the progress, I was told that the tires I ordered were not snow tires, but all-season tires, and so could not be installed because you can't mix snow tires and all season tires. I was disappointed that I had made an ordering mistake.I went ahead and purchased 4 brand new all season tires that they had in stock and made an appointment to have them installed a few days later (earliest available time that worked for everyone).When I got home, I went and looked at my receipt for the tires I had originally ordered to see where I had made the mistake. WELL, it turns out that I did NOT order the wrong tire! I had indeed ordered the correct snow tire! So, either they sent the wrong model tire to the store, or the mechanics did not know what they had. I am going to give the mechanics the benefit of the doubt and go with the idea that Walmart sent the wrong tires. Walmart's mistake cost us nearly half of a rare, valuable Sunday with our family.Today we are having the 4 new all season tires installed...which I had already paid for...and they tried to bill us for them again! It turns out someone had filed the paperwork incorrectly. Thankfully they found the receipt in their system and corrected the mistake; which required them to redo ALL the original paperwork (more time wasted).Finally, all the people we dealt with were very nice to us, however, they complained about the scheduling system and were fighting and yelling with each other. Quite unprofessional. While waiting for the work to be done, I overheard other people with issues as well...double booked time slots; incorrect tire orders and double charges on tires.We will not be using Walmart Red Wing for tire services again.

0 out of 5 stars. Had just changed the tires the night before on our work truck. Brought the truck in to have the tires balanced, waited three hours, and was told, "we couldn't get the lug nuts off so we did nothing... here ya go." Not to mention the service tech had attitude about it. As mentioned, I had all 32 lugs off the night before with a cordless impact wrench. Days earlier, I personally watched a 50 year old man remove 8 of the lugs with nothing more than a tire iron to change a blown tire and put on a spare. I know everyone is hurting for good workers these days... but c'mon... "can't get the lugs off?" After calming the blind rage I experienced, I had a pretty good laugh about the whole thing. Imagine going to get a coffee at Starbucks and the worker telling you, "Sorry I don't know how to make coffee."

No one answered the phone after calling a few times. I was trying to order the correct tires or see if tires were in stock. It then rang to the customer service desk and they told me they were short handed. I get it. Everyone in retail is short handed. I just wish someone could have helped me. I ended up saying forget it and ordered directly from the manufacturer and having a local tire shop take care of me. I actually called both Wal-marts in Rochester. I was pretty disappointed.

This Walmart Auto Center is short staff as of 6/28/23. I have been to 3 other Walmart's in my local area and they are all doing appointment for everything, because they are also short staff. I came in on 6/27/23 finding out it would be a 4+ hr to get an oil chance. I asked if I could make and appointment so I didn't have to wait around that long. The associate that was serving me told me that they are a first come first service location. I'm done going to this location for Auto service and will start making appointment at the Hastings Walmart Auto Center instead. At least they allow their customers to make appointments when they are short staff, so that customers don't have to wait around for 2+hrs to get an oil chance.

While I understand I declined the road hazard option, a brand new valve stem shouldn t leak 10 miles from the shop. Causing the tire to go flat and destroy the sidewall. First and last time using this shop.Service: Auto tire replacementService: Auto tire replacement

You don't need an appointment, approachable customer assistance, installed my new battery in as little as 15min. Batteries are cheaper compared to other auto centers, plus you get a discount for returning the old battery.

I had just bought a truck and it needed a new tire. I was heading to a tire place but the tire on the truck had got so low it needed to be changed. I got a tow to Walmart and they had one tire left so my husband took it off in the parking lot and they change it out for us. It was very fast and the manager helped us out in definitely a time of need. Every place was closed because it was Christmas eve. We are also from out of state so they were a life saver. I believe Candy was the manager's name.

Fast, good service on my set of 4 new tires. Reasonable pricing on tires. No issues & happy with result. FYI: Appointments only. Short staffed.

I ordered tires, and thought it would be pretty hard to mess up. Well, I was wrong. Somehow they lost a lug nut. We have chrome plated lug nuts and they replaced it with this yellow zinc monstrosity.The employees were slow and lazy. 2 of them were asked to change the tires. One just sat with an old lady to chat about yarn and the other said that he couldn't lift. What are you doing working in a tire shop then!?!?It should not take 2.5hours to change a set of tires.

I called and Candy the manager picked up right away. She explained a few different options. My car was in an out in about 30 minutes. I had a great experience here and would highly recommend them for tires.

Mat not be fair for me to comment being an ex Assistant store manager BUT give credit where credit is due..The manager in charge of this department knows her business and expects nothing but the service and customer satisfaction around. Which seems to come easy with the incredible staff that she has under her...Only advice I could possibly give is...DONT CHANGE A THING.

Had to go to this store because the hastings Walmart auto center is absolutely horrible. Couldn't find my tires that were delivered, poor customer service and apparently you now have to schedule a time online to have tires mounted. No such thing.The redwing store is the total opposite and worth the 20 minute drive. Don't change a thing. You guys rock.

Purchased tires from Walmart and they were improperly balanced. Went back to have them fix it and got " it will be 3 hours and we don't do appointments!" Lots of places in town have for better customer service and quality mechanics. I will be going to Johnson tire to fix this mess

The lack of staff really hurts this shop. the one person behind the corner had to ask for help for every transaction. The entire system needs to change..

Went in for an oil change and air filter. They finished while I shopped and I don't think I had to wait even 5 minutes. Reasonably priced, too. And my car is a full synthetic!

Still not sure why they had to pop the hood to try and change tires. Took forever to check in, got a call 30 min later that they wouldn't mount the tires because they weren't the exact ones that came on car.

I shouldn't even give a star, but otherwise couldn't write thisSaturday afternoonI went to get a screw out of tire which they said they could patch, the girl asked if i wanted an oil change , i said ok, then they decided I needed new tires after calling me back to desk, I said no I would check with my husband..they did say the simple oil change was done on my 2011 Ford Edge with about 60, 000 miles on it. (I have had no problems with this vehicle).I drove off and 15 minutes down the road my car slowed down , wouldn't accelerate , my car all of a sudden flashed a low oil pressure and alarm and died on a traffic lane on a bridge. The car wouldn't turn over, I almost got hit several times by cars..i called 911 and police came..thank you police.. and had to have my car towed. Thank u Midway towing..I almost got hit on the bridge..my car is at Midway towing in Red Wing, waiting to be checked out on Monday morning..I called 3 times yesterday at Wal-Mart, finally got the assistant manager of the store, who said they would cover towing. Once I got home 2 hours later I called Wal-Mart again, and finally got a hold of auto dept and he said supervisor would call me this morning...i have never heard from him yet..I will never shop at Wal-Mart in Red Wing again for anything!!! I am pursuing this as soon as I find out what they did to my car!!! I just am SO thankful for the Police and Midway Towing..

Best service and does the job right. The staff are very friendly. The prices are a steal. Recommend this place for sure.
