I will say this about Honest 1They are very polite and they understand what you are saying.I'm a senior citizen and am usually afraid to bring my car anywhere since my husband passed. They treated me equal and very kind and understanding. I got the best quality service.Troy was a very polite and knowledgeable.Will definitely be back for more service when needed.

Words can not express how thankful I am to Troy at Honest-1!! I had just bought a new car with 89k miles from Kline Volvo. I thought they were a reputable dealer. I come to find out they did a REALLY, REALLY poor job looking over the vehicle. My engine seized up and needed to purchase a new one less than 3 weeks after purchasing it. Long story short, Troy went above and beyond and found me an engine that had less than 5,200 miles on it. Troy and his team are amazing with the quality of work they do. I m very thankful to have a great car team in my corner.

I've always had a great experience here, as their name implies, they're honest and professional! They now even have a system that incorporates photos that their techs take of issues found during the inspection (dirty filters, tire wear, leaks, oil/fluid quality), it's really awesome! Highly recommend!

Fantastic place to have your vehicle repaired. We had Troy at the Prior Lake location and the service provided was outstanding. He worked with my extended warranty flawlessly. I will be taking all my auto repair needs here from now on. Very thankful to find a fair and honest repair shop!

I took my 2011 Ford Fusion in for three reasons: oil light was on, even though oil had been changed within last 500 miles; tire pressure light came off and on; and car vibrated between 55-60 mph. Guys at Honest 1 rotated/balanced tires, put in new air filter, and then got permission to find where the oil was leaking, using UV dye. I got a call that they found 3 leaks that needed to be fixed. The quote for fixing everything was over $6K! I was astonished, but have to rely on my car and knew I could not replace it for that amount. When I picked my car up, the engine light immediately came on. The tech reset the sensor, and I took my car home. The next day the engine light came on and wouldn't go off, so I took the car back to Honest 1. They replaced the CO sensor. I was very uneasy about the whole experience, so I contacted the owner. He said that they had way overcharged me, because they had entered my car as a sports model rather than a sedan (how is this even possible, when the VIN identifies the model). The difference, he said, was $2,200, which they refunded to me. This just seemed wrong on so many levels...how many repair shops overcharge you that amount and then only refund it when you question it? I took it one step further by asking a competitor to give me an estimate of what they would charge to replace the timing cover gasket (this was the most expensive item on the bill...over $4,200 initially). The estimate was over $400 LESS than Honest 1's adjusted bill. Once again, I contacted them and showed them the difference between their charge and their competitor's estimate. They had assured me all along that they were competitively priced. Now they refunded me the $400 difference. I should be happy, right?? No, I am not. They refunded money, but only after I questioned and pushed the issue. Is that what you have to do? I cannot rely on them to be honest and truthful? I am not mechanical by any stretch, and have to depend on a business to be the experts and treat me fairly. When I went to their website and tried to leave this review, it would not let me, saying that the review contained spam. It most certainly did not contain spam! I am cautioning anyone else who needs auto repair to find a different company.I will never go back!

We really appreciate the care the Honest 1 team took to get our Audi Q7 back on the road. They worked us into a busy schedule and dealt with our repair expertly and efficiently. They also addressed another issue that had been plaguing the vehicle for months. This is the second vehicle we have brought to the Prior Lake location and both experiences were fantastic.The first time we were there, we needed a bunch of work done on our convertible. At the time, we had already brought the vehicle to their location and were waiting on another shop (body shop) to find out if we needed a new soft top window, or if we needed to replace the whole thing. Honest 1 allowed us to keep our vehicle at their facility while we waited to hear about our potential roof replacement concern from the other body shop. Ultimately, Honest 1 s flexibility helped ease our stress around these costly repairs. They did excellent work on our convertible, and with our early Minnesota spring this year, we are excited to take it out with the top down soon. Thank you Honest 1! ~ The Hansons

Honest 1 is my go to for vehicle problems. I know when I take it here I won't get the run around, won't try to up sell me everything under the moon. They definitely take good care of their customers. Ended up having to spend QUITE a bit of money, after a few different opinions, it was clear honest 1 was my best bet. Troy took care of all my needs and was nothing but friendly and polite. Even after that repair, he goes above and beyond to make sure I'm satisfied and happy when I leave. Troy and the whole team at prior lake honest 1 are the real deal.

I continue to bring all of my cars to Honest - 1 in Prior Lake. Troy and the team do excellent work and they stand behind what they do. I recently had some major work done that required a transmission replacement. Honest - 1 has an excellent warranty on the work they do. When I had additional troubles with that transmission, they took care of everything. Car runs great. You won't find a better group of people to take care of you.

For many years I have counted on Honest Auto to service my cars. On 11/2/23, they did a truly AMAZING job! My husband had ordered new tires for my 2019 VW Beetle convertible from another vendor which were delivered to our Prior Lake, MN, Honest Auto Store. Jon asked them to install the tires when I brought my car in for its annual check-up. He also sent a set of new wiper blades with me to ask if they'd install them. I brought a book along to just read during the oil change, etc., as I do every year. The guys there coyly said they'd gladly give me a ride home and pick me up again later because they "were running a bit late and they didn't want me to have to wait." Two hours later they had done it all! Who anywhere could ask for better service?! I would recommend our local Honest Auto to everyone! Thank you Guys! Margo Dinneen

My 1st encounter with Honset-1 was new tires on a 2017 Chevy. Guys were helpful, polite, nice and since they did a great job putting on new tires, I took my 2022 Chevy in for an oil change. They recommended the best oil for my vehicle. I was impressed because they not only performed the oil change, they checked a lot of things to ensure my car was in good working condition.I will continue to take my vehicle to them.

You asked me to leave a review, i did what you asked me to do. It seems you are upset about that. You claim i didn't get an email confirmation. That's a lie, I showed the email to the guy at the desk. I don't appreciate being called a liar. I will happily take my business somewhere else. And I recommend others to go somewhere else as well

I thought both John & Kurt were very courteous and friendly. They were able to get my son s car in the shop very quickly. Also, Honest-1 are one of the few people opened on a Saturday.As for the mechanics in the shop, they didn t do their due diligence. I was charged $75 for them to tell me that my A/C compressor was bad when I already told them the compressor wouldn t run. Also, to have the compressor fixed the estimate would cost me approximately $900.What I found was that the A/C pressure switch wires were torn off the switch which is a condition to allow the A/C compressor to run. Of course, I didn t catch that until I pulled the under body splash guards off.I d be very cautious about taking my vehicles there again.I d like to update my comments on my experience with Honest-1 Auto.After I posted my first review I received a call from Troy-store manager of Honest-1 regarding my initial comment.He said he wanted to make things right with me so he reimbursed the $75 for the diagnosis and the $189 for vacuuming out the old refrigerant.I was impressed on how quickly I heard back from Honest-1 as they seemed to really care about customer satisfaction.I increased my rating from 3 stars to 5 stars. I was hesitant to update my review from to 5 stars because I bought and installed the new compressor and dryer b/c of the incorrect diagnosis.But, I appreciate the great follow-up and making things right with me. Because of the call from Troy, I will be going back to Honest-1 in the future.Thank you Troy!

Service was great and people are friendly, but the quote I got from the inspection was kinda outrageous. 377$ to replace a fuel filter on a 2005 Chevy duramax which is a 40$ part and takes 20 minutes to change. Feel bad for the people who pay those prices. Personally won t go there again because the prices are more than it s worth to do it myself. But will recommend for non mechanically inclined people.

My vehicle was in to have a windshield wiper motor replaced. The original quote was almost $700 and they found another motor for less so it ended up being $500 only after I mentioned the motor is like $100 on Amazon. The service tech scratched my paint on the cowling in two different spots and after two hours the wipers stopped working again. Apparently a nut or something was loose. The front desk said they would take care of me the next time I am in. I sure hope they do as I have spent a couple of thousand dollars here in the last year on very new vehicles. I wasn t overly pleased with how this all turned out this time. They are nice and offered me a loaner but at these shop rates I guess I expect a little more not to mention the scratches on my hood/ cowling.

As always, the service was stellar. Their estimates are always detailed, and the staff is professional. Facility is well appointed and clean. My only complaint and what cost them a star is that their pricing of materials is excessive. The estimated cost of transmission fluid, for example, was nearly 3 times what it would cost me to buy the same from Walmart or Fleet Farm. This adds up quickly when you re doing a transmission flush. Otherwise, I think they do a great job.
