Stay away from this place if you don't want to be ripped off. I first went to them in July of last year, complaining about a noise in the undercarriage of my car. They replaced a part, did an alignment, and found that my thermostat was leaking. I agreed to the replacement and paid an additional $356 ($247.50 for labor, $95 for the part, and $14 for antifreeze). They didn't even ask me which thermostat I wanted: original or aftermarket. A few days later, I returned to them and asked to redo the alignment because my steering wheel was shaking while driving. It was redone. A few days later, the noise came back, and I went back to them again. They said now it's coming from the other side (even though they had previously said that side was fine). I agreed and paid more money. Recently, I noticed that the coolant temperature was higher than before. No, the engine wasn't overheating, but the temperature was at the upper limit. I checked the thermostat and found out they had installed an aftermarket one. I went to the dealership, bought an original one for $66 (those guys charged me $95 for aftermarket), and installed it myself. Everything immediately returned to normal. It took me $66 and 40 minutes (compared to their 100 minutes) with a coffee break. Good thing I kept the receipts to compare.

Since moving to a job in the area 3 yrs ago, I have been going to Homestead Auto for all of my vehicles services. At first it was for the convenience of location near my work, but now it is out of loyalty. The staff at Homestead is always welcoming, honest and forthright in what your service is and what it will cost. A couple of days ago in the Minnesota frozen tundra, I found myself stranded at work with a vehicle that wouldn't start. I called Homestead and as usual the staff there went above and beyond to come help me get my vehicle started so I could get it over to the shop for a much needed battery replacement. My vehicle was ready as promised when I got off work. I can't say enough about this place so I recommend it to everyone I know. Thanks again Homestead!! You know the true meaning of good customer service and you show it every day.

My car has been having issues for a while. The place that I was taking it couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I found this place on Nextdoor. I took it to them and they figured it out right away. I'm very impressed that you can have all contact with them through text. Also they sent a very detailed description of what was wrong with pictures included. My car is running great since they fixed her. I will definitely use them in the future. 10 out of 10!! Oh and everyone that I came in contact with is so nice!

After feeling constantly screwed over at other places I was so happy to find Homestead Auto! We have done numerous repairs, oil changes, tires, etc through them and are always impressed. Turn around time is quick and prices can't be beat. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We can't recommend Homestead enough!!

This shop is very efficient and fast! Great guys! Had my car done within 2 days! I left on a trip the next day and my van ran better than it did before my fender bender. Replaced radiator, ac condenser and transmission cooler and final bill was less than original quote!

Attempted to do my intake manifold gaskets in the driveway and couldn t get my intake manifold back on. These guys told me it d be a bit of a wait till they could look at it but I had my car back quick in 2 1/2 days. If you feel something isn t right, bring it up and they will work with you. Great people.

Amazing service and best prices in the area! Owner is super chill and nice. I've been going there for a couple of years since I got my first car, they make me feel welcomed and safe unlike other auto shops. They even got merch!

Went in for tires and alignment for my 2500 pickup. Guys were nice, but said my alignment was good and the steering wheel was centered but it wasn't, even though I specifically asked about it. They didn't replace the valve stems in my wheels which is odd when you buy new tires ($1,800) and they also charged me for 4 tire disposals even though they only had 3 tires to toss, I took a spare. Friendly and prompt but I thought the quality of work would be better.

Seen recommendation for this place on Neighbor Nextdoor, Very pleased with the great customer service, they are honest, friendly, & polite, and very open to explaining the problem and answering any question I have, as a woman this has not always been the situation. Get my oil changes here, plus had brake work done, and they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied with the job. Pricing is fair, and don't give a list of all the potential problem you need to have repaired. Their waiting area is clean & efficient, none of the fancy items adding on to your bill. From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a warm hello and felt at ease. Check in process was super easy and quick. I had new tires put on and my alignment corrected. The overall wait time was fast for the work done on my SUV.As I waited, easily 4-5 people came in to have work done, pick up their cars and ask questions on possible issues with their cars. Everyone of them left fully satisfied. I normally don't do reviews but if you are looking to have work done on your car, its a no brainer to take it Homestead Auto & Tire!

Homestead has been nothing short of amazing from the quality work to the friendly staff and fair pricing, it's really hard nowadays to find someone you can trust but for my money I will continue to take my vehicles to the guys at Homestead Auto.

These people are great! My car broke down on my way home from work one day and they were able to get me in the next day. Everyone was super nice and communication was awesome. I usually take my car to a dealership for service but may be switching it up to them from now on.

We were at a baseball tournament when we realized our tire was flat. The nearby Honest 1 closed at 5:30. It was 4:50 and I was told they would not help because they didn t have time and their technicians had gone home. Luckily we passed Homestead auto & Tire, and Jason literally ran out to help us even though they closed at 5!!!! These guys (Jason and Kurt) were so nice -assessed the problem and offered a solution -great price, and they tried to refuse a tip! You don t find customer service like this anymore!!!! Brought my truck in for ball joints, control arm and cv axels replaced. Ray and Kurt took excellent care of me and the communication with it all was great. Truck definitely drives like a champ again. We've been going to this shop for a few years and even though we live in Maple Grove, well worth driving to Prior Lake! Honest, thorough, detailed, and economical...absolutely recommend going here. The team at Homestead Auto did a great job on my brakes and advised me to simply get an oil change vs. a more costly repair for a check engine light code. All the work was done the sameday and I would certainly recommend them to anyone needing maintenance or repair

Exceptional service! Very polite and courteous on the phone. Needed new tires and they were able to get me an appointment immediately. New tires and alignment were done beautifully and I paid under what multiple places had quoted me. They even provide me with a rental car due to below freezing temperatures. Definitely will be back! Excellent customer service! I was in town from out-of-state for my son s baseball tournament & ended up with a slow leak from a nail in my tire. It was a Friday afternoon too. I was welcomed at the counter with a smile, after being turned away elsewhere, and received immediate help resolving my issue. Super grateful. Thanks Kurt & Marc!!

The guys at Homestead were fantastic. I needed work done on my vehicle over the holidays.They were honest, cost was reasonable and affordable. They made the experience easy going with no gimmicks.Their timing was exceptional for completion. This shop was recommended to me when I purchased a new set of tires from Discount Tire. They knew I needed an alignment because of my tire wear. I made an appt at Homestead and I've found a local shop I can support, plus they took great care and made sure things were safe for me going forward. I had great conversation with Kurt, the manager. This shop is fairly new to the area, but know these guys will take good care of your needs. Great service! Kurt was super friendly and very prompt on communication. Any issue I ve had they are able to diagnose the first time and get it right! Don t need to keep dumping money in to guesses as to the problem. Never an issue leaving my truck for multiple days.
