I drove several hours to pick up my new vehicle that I had been told several times was a safe and dependable SUV and passed mechanics inspection. I was not happy to find extensive body damage on both driver side doors but it was after hours when I arrived so I drove it home. Halfway through the brakes failed and I was involved in an accident. I reached out to the salesman and told him I wasn't happy with the poor condition of the vehicle he had assured me was issue free. The only thing he was concerned about was that he had left the wrong title in the glove box and threatened to hold my title until i mail it back. Denied all of my requests to receive any kind of compensation and stopped responding to my calls and messages. Shame on this one for making the mighty dollar more precious than human life.

VERY UNFORTUNATE! BUYERS BEWARE! We purchased a vehicle from H&G Auto and within the first 6 weeks we had major issues. The dash had 3 warning lights, finally telling us to pull over because the engine was overheating. The car went into limp mode, only allowing us to go 20 to 40 miles per hour. After taking it to our mechanic we found part of the engine was replaced with the wrong engine, so the car is undrivable and unfixable. We are out $7000. We called Grant and he quickly said As Is and they were unwilling to work with us. Also, per Grant, the car was inspected by their mechanic, so buyers beware! It seems the engine was replaced, but that was not disclosed to us! We feel if they didn't know about it, then the mechanic did a poor inspection job. We ve been scammed and don t want this to happen to anyone else! Also the title took over a month to get to us, so we didn t drive the vehicle much at all!

I bought a 2010 Chevy Malibu from this dealership in January 2023. When purchasing this vehicle i was told that the car was in really good shape and the only thing wrong was that there was a hole in the muffler causing it to be a little loud, but it was someone s every day commuter that they traded in and ran well. Within 2 weeks, the whole sensor system went out on the vehicle, which was about $550 to replace. Then the power steering sensor went out, which was another $680 alone to replace that, all before March. The hole in the muffler being loud was actually the break calipers going out. When the snow melted, I noticed my front bumper was being held on by black duct tape that was starting to come off. From January 5th until June I spent over $2000 in repairs on a good vehicle , which I paid $5,400 for the vehicle in the first place. When purchasing the vehicle, they signed the wrong date on the dealership reassignment and the title, and did not even offer to go through the process of registering plates for me, saying it s just be cheaper to do it on my own . Would not recommend this place, I am down thousands of dollars due to H&G auto.

I would strongly recommend staying away from this dealership. My fianc and I called the dealership when we were an hour away, Grant (owner) verified the vehicle we liked was there, description of vehicle says it needs nothing . Told Grant we were on our way, be there in an hour. We got there, they hadn t bothered to pull the vehicle up or start it (5 That day) or look it over. We went on a short test drive, fuel gauge was 10 miles til empty, they would not budge off of the price at all. The dash was lit up like a Christmas tree. Traction control lights, service stabilitrak lights, check engine light, and the vehicle needed tires. We tried to negotiate price, given the fact that it did in fact need repairs and the description was false advertisement. Grant did not move on price. He claimed he couldn t move because he has to pay his employees to detail it and inspect it, etc. Upon further looking, the car was not detailed nor inspected. H&G bought it from an auction and put it on the lot. We purchased knowing it needed a couple small repairs. Asked to take off some money so we could get gas at the gas station, he put in 2 gallons. We drove the vehicle 2.5 hours home and parked the vehicle in the garage until the title came. 2 weeks later we drove to the gas station to fill the tank. At that time, we started to leave the gas station and heard a very loud BANG noise. Brought it to the mechanic, turns out the front transfercase has been loose, and broke in the parking lot, also causing damage to the driveshaft. Now we bought this vehicle as-is, no warranty, I called Grant to inform him that since purchased we had done nothing but drive the vehicle home, which was ~150 miles, and now we are facing a $1000 repair, as well as 2 rear hub assemblies, 2 rear speed sensors, and $1000 in tires. I told him I m not worried about the assemblies, speed sensors, or tires. I was calling to see if he would be willing to help us out with the cost of the transfercase repair. Not the full thing, maybe half. It would be the honest thing to do in my opinion. Long story short, he basically told me to get bent. He wasn t helping. Didn t offer to make anything right in any such way. I will be contacting the BBB as well as my lawyer for false advertisement of a vehicle needing nothing and false statements of a clean and inspected vehicle.

Couldn t be happier with my experience. Grant and Hunter are just the kind if guys I want my money supporting and I was blown away by the depth and breadth of knowledge when it came to quality vehicles and upkeep on car engines. Super refreshing to say the least and wish them all the success moving forward. Can t recommend enough.

This place is flat out dishonest. They scam people for a living. They sold us a car that broke down with in a week. Needs a whole new engine. Read some more reviews and you ll see a reoccurring theme.

My wife and I drove up from Des Moines. By the time we had gotten there, the vehicle had unfortunately sold. Luckily, they had an identical vehicle and they didn t let us leave without it. About 320 miles later, I was home and impressed with the comfort of the ride.Grant and Hunter were a great couple of guys to purchase from. They gave me a call on the way to let me know the car we were interested in had sold. It s always a gamble traveling for a vehicle. My wife and I were very appreciative that they had the decency to give us a heads up so we didn t show up for a car that s not there. They provided such service that my wife was impressed; which is tough considering I m pretty sure she believes there s a special place in hell for car salesmen. If you keep in mind that you re buying a used car and don t have expectations of a business passing up cash for someone to take a look-see; you ve got a real good shot of leaving here happy with your purchase, as well as the folks you chose to do business with.We are happy we drove up, met, and purchased from Hunter and Grant.

Had a great experience here yesterday. Great selection of vehicles in a wide range of prices and types. Prices were very competitive, I got a great deal on my 09 Ford Focus. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The whole process went super quick and easy. Highly recommend.

Sold me a car last year and it barely lasted 1 year I got 7 months out of the car tell it started having problems. The employees are nice but they don t tell you the full story behind the car. Wont recommend them to anyone. And I payed 5,000 for the vehicle.

They were very kind, responsible, and I trust them enough to go back the next time I need a car. We got our car for under market value and it is in great shape. They cleaned it up really well even though we d already paid. Also were good with our kids.

Good used cars at a decent price.Keep in mind that the vehicles are used and they don't carry any warranty.Their mechanic is the best in the area.

Bought two vehicles from them at a fair price. One of them was willing to help resolve an issue. The other one basically said too bad about not having a key to make my vehicle unlocked (Ford Mykey) I m stuck shelling out $275 just for the key to make the volume and speed go up in my car. Be ultra careful as these vehicles have not been well inspected. If you re a mechanic or know your cars, might work out for you. I ve already found several needed repairs for not having a mechanic look at it. Lesson learned, will not do or promote business here again. I suggest you consider the same.Update - after 1 month and about 500 miles the $5000 truck I bought needs over $7000 in repairs. They sold it with a completely missing front brake pad. Front hubs were shot, and it needs a new transmission and then several sensors. Now selling it for scrap basically. Be VERY aware and I would suggest just staying away. Never trust a business without an email address on their website. These guys will say these are mechanically sound vehicles, not the case. My fault for not knowing the vehicles better to check them more throughly, but I figured it was against the law to sell vehicles with obvious safety issues. They also still have not given a title after two months, which is somehow legal, they sure wont t explain that to you.

Me and my Husband both purchases vehicles from H&G Auto Sales recently and were very happy with our experience all around. Grant and Hunter both are very nice Gentlemen and I would recommend them to anyone the help you get into a different vehicle! We both have bad credit and we're able to drive away in newer vehicles the same day! Definitely the best experience I've had with a Auto Sales place!!

definitely wouldn t recommend. PLEASE LISTEN to the low reviews. They're 100% accurate and honest. I ve been leasing a vehicle since February and I drove it 3 weeks but had problems with it the the whole time and they have a warranty that they hype up to help you to bring it in (which when I first had problems with the vehicle I had troubles with my warranty not being activated) but it literally doesn t cover anything that s wrong with it- I was told nothing was wrong with the vehicle (I know I m dumb for believing that). Lol shout out to Liberty Mutual Insurance though- the warranty H&G auto have has roadside assistance but will come 3-5 business days and charge you more than an insurance roadside assistance will. STAY AWAY, don t make the same mistake as the low-recent reviews and I did. YOU CAN FIND A BETTER DEALERSHIP. *they also DO NOT offer to bring it in to a mechanic before purchase***The dealership itself was sketch, car was very unreliable, and the warranty is not good. -1/5

Seemed kinda like a rip off place actually. Was disappointed in the advertising. Drove an hour and a half to look at a vehicle and they were more talk than anything, drove the vehicle and had all sorts of lights on on the dash and radio problems, none of which was advertised online when I was looking. Employees were bringing air tanks out to pump up tires in front of us on vehicles they were trying to sell. Selling prices were high for real high mileage vehicles. Seemed more of a quick buck place then a place where they seem to care about their customers. Ended up looking at two vehicles there even though I went there to only look at the one. But thought when in Rome type of thing. Both needed more work then worth and they told me that's the market going rate and could not budge on what they are actually worth. So left and never will be back. Not recommended. Sorry and good luck to you guys running it.

Employees seemed nice but the building was gross inside. Called ahead to look at a vehicle and when I got there it was on empty and every light on the dash was lit up. Had a knock from the front end like a ball joint was bad. Overall not a good experience.

I would NOT recommend buying a car from this dealership. After owning the car for 10 days, the car stalled on the highway on the way for servicing. After two thorough inspections, it was found that the car needed a new transmission, a KEY fact the dealers did not disclose. The car was ultimately undriveable thereafter and had to be towed to its new buyer. Would definitely not recommend doing business with them at all.

Great company with Great staff, I believe it may be a family run business. Honesty is everything! This company listens to your needs regarding vehicle purchase,And they are honest about whether or not they have a vehicle that can fullfill your needs. Some of their staff have a wealth of knowledge and appear to be under 30... Lastly, they did not rush me on making a purchase and answered all of my clarifiying question.

I was looking for a low cost commuter car to get me through the year and these folks had a plethora of nice low cost vehicles to choose from. They were fun and easy to do business with, I feel very comfortable in sending my friends and family.

STAY AWAY. shady business, bought a Chevy equinox from this dealership. The many problems with the car were absolutely not disclosed when asked about the vehicle. Check engine light went on 2 days after buying the vehicle. The catalytic converter needed to be replaced. $2,000. Called the dealership, they would not cover the cost or take the vehicle back.

They aren't actually open the hours they say they are. Even if you're willing to travel an hour to buy a car they will make you come back the next day because "they pick their own hours". Very frustrating when you need a car.
