Beautiful campground!Very pet friendly and awesome activities for kids. Great pool my 3 boys played for hours. We got the H tent site- last one on the end. No electricity but doesn t matter, as we ended up just making sandwiches the one night we stayed here.Cute store with lots of little things, candies and such. Little gifts as well.Unfortunately we are light sleepers and trains go by about every hour.

Very reasonably priced campground with ample RV and camping spots as well as some rooms. I camped here on Labor Day and the staff was super helpful and gave me a great map detailing the grounds. This is super close to pipestone national monument so is a great place to spend the night if you're visiting. The campsite was very nice and the toilets are clean and in an accessible location within the campgrounds.

We have been here for a month and will continue to stay here while my husband is working in the area for the next few months. The owners, staff, and overall community in this lil gem is by far some of the genuine, nicest, most accommodating people I have ever met in my life. There are too many small incidents to list but the biggest was how many people tried to come to our rescue when we got locked out of our camper. Nothing worked but it was not for their lack of ideas and trying everything they could think of before we had to drill the lock (I had a new one to replace it already inside). Just know if you decide to visit Pipestone or somewhere in the area and need a place to camp, set up a camper or RV, etc., this is the place for you!

My husband and i stayed here for a month. Bathrooms are clean, campground is amazingly clean. You can really tell that the owners love and take pride in the park. Lots of permanent residents but sites for the most part are clean and orderly. We will definitely be back next year when we are passing through the area. The only thing that was disappointing was the lack of attention to the laundry room. Which has several broken machines. We felt it was best to go do laundry down in Luverne. But that isn't a deal breaker for us. Also something happened to the women's bathroom door that left a splatter. There's a sign that it was going to be cleaned up but after several weeks the mess is still there. Not sure what it is but was also all over the door handle and looked a bit sketch. Hopefully it gets addressed soon. Thank you for the wonderful stay! We can't wait to come back.

Very nice, quiet park with good size spots and mature trees. Most sites are full hook ups. The new owners are amazing! Every day working hard to bring the place back to its former glory, and they are happy to go out of their way to accommodate your needs. The store is gorgeous and has most things you could need including some groceries. While the bathrooms do need some work, it's on their list and I'm sure they'll have it in tip top shape in no time.Thank you Pipestone campground for the wonderful stay!

We've been here a couple of months now for a job & really like this campground. It's well kept, mostly quite even on the weekends when it's full & the owners are great hosts.Nearby activities: Pipestone monument

What an awesome place to stay. Like one big family. The spaces are amazing w lots of shade and room to spread out. The staff was very friendly. The locals were awesome. Always stopping by to chat. The Air Force vet across the way was awesome. Always stopping by w his grandkids to make sure we were having a good time. We met Hercules the mastiff. Lots of activities to keep you busy. We happened to be there for the parade. Super quiet at night. Beautiful little town w lots of history and things to see. The falls were cool and a neat little trail walk. Give them a call, get your spot. It s great being part of the pipestone family.

Here is a detailed review covering showers, RV spots, location, and customer service. The bathrooms did not make our stay pleasurable, but campground was great.RV Spots - 3/5 Our spot was grass that you parked on. We were very close to another RV, enough to worry about our slide outs. Except for to our left, there was plenty of space around us to take our pets outside and enjoy the nature. Sites were pretty level.Customer Service 5/5 Very easy to talk to and kind! They made our stay simple and easy, and lended us an adapter when we needed one. Truly amazing customer service!Showers - 1/5 Oh boy.. the bathrooms were dirty/moldy and the pipes were exposed and rusted. Out of the three shower stalls in the women's bathroom, one of the drains were completely clogged and filled the dirty shower floor instantly. Another stall didn't have a door lock. Only the one in the middle worked. All the shower stalls were very tight, I don't see a way you could get a wheel chair in easily at all. I included photos of the bathrooms to this review.Location - 5/5 Super easy walk to the beautiful Pipestone National Monument. The campgrounds were easy to navigate, and it was wonderfully dark at night to see the milky way. I included a photo of the campground map.All in all, if you don't have need of the showers, I would recommend staying here.

Pleasantly surprised to find this nice campground like in the middle of what seemed no where. Beautiful country atmosphere. Would have given 5 stars except for the fact the owner did not make herself available as she said she would knowing we were coming in late. She did not leave the check in paperwork, nor the space we were paying for & did not answer the phone as she said she would. We pulled into the only empty spot we could find since she said we had the last empty space. Overall satisfied our need for a good night's rest.

Site was quiet, the night sky is beautiful here. However, all good sites that are full hookup are taken by long term resident campers. Other sites smell of sewage, the building should be torn down as it smells strongly of mold, including restrooms and showers. Pool was old but good. Staff seemed non-existent. They don t answer the phones and the office was closed most of the time. Only gave more than one star because of the quiet night. I am surprised this is affiliated with Good Sam. Keep on driving if you can.

UNDER new ownership as of a month ago!! I give this RV park 4 because the owners are Fantastic! I watched every day as they worked hard to bring this park back to life (yes, even over the weekend.) Yes, they have improvements to be made and several are in the works!!Honestly, we almost left the park the next morning after checking in late, but when we woke up early the next morning they were hard at it pulling weeds, (impressed) not staff but the owners! So we stayed and were happy The pool is opening soon, playground is good, they have buddy sites (call and ask), walking distance to the monument and minutes from a good swanky restaurant. Some spots are perfect for shorter rigs, the laundry needs help and wifi is typical. But, this family is working Hard if we come back through we will definitely stay again.

5 day stay. We re first year retirees on our promised cross country road trip and have visited many RV parks in the last year and a half. This park is family friendly with organized, all ages, kick ball games, bubble parade in golf carts and movies by the pool. Fun snacks for the kids (and adults) sold in office. Great week or weekend get-a-way.

Great campground, new management and convenient location. The new management appears to be diligently upgrading and maintaining, they are very friendly. There's a pool, mature trees and right across (walkable) to some Pipestone attractions. They even happened to rebuild our fire pit while we were camped, there are a few things that are aged but the staff appears to be fervently working to improve the whole facility.

Pros: Location to Pipestone National Monument PoolCons: Looks like it was a well taken care of location at one point but now there are a lot of simple maintenance items that just don t seem to be a priority to the owners. The office is hardly open so you won t be able to get your questions answered in a timely manner. Pipestone is a dying town, there were only 3 restaurants and it seemed like only 1 was open at a time. No coffee options on Tuesdays. The pool was advertised as heated, but it was still very cold and we re from Northern MN & swim in the lakes so it was probably really cold for others.

This is more like a bad trailer park. A lot of traffic in and out to the seasonal campsites. No upkeep of the campground. False advertisement. There was supposed to be miniature golf, that got washed away a previous year. There was supposed to be a volleyball net, it's just an open field. The heated outdoor pool is not heated. The playground is neglected. Overrun by weeds, no railing on steep steps going up to a slide. We had issues with our water hookup, the part was broken. The owner was too drunk to help us the first day. The next day we asked about it again, his wife said he'd come by to help us. He never did but we did however see him driving around in his golf cart drinking and yelling at kids about keeping sand in the sandbox. The office building (same as ahower area) smelled like mold really bad from the outside even, showers were dirty have no idea when they could've been cleaned last. Vehicles kept parking on and very close to our site. There was no place for our kids to play. We had to clean the firepit out before using it, probably hadn't been done this season yet. Which isn't that big of a deal but just an added disappointment of the campground.

It was a nice place to stay, great location, could use more non hookups for people like me. The bathrooms are not the worst bit could use some help. Personally not a fan of all the golf cart traffic.

Great location for the national park. If you like a campground with things for the kids to do, this is the spot. Nice pool, playground, volleyball net, and open field to keep the kiddos busy. The front desk was helpful, I needed a 50 amp to 30 amp converter plug, they loaned me one with a small deposit. Everything was clean and well kept. The lots are very close together, closer than I would like. I would stay here again.

Have stayed in the cabin for 3 years on holiday weekends it has always been clean and had some dishes and coffee pot. this year with new owners when we stayed (2021) there were no dishes no coffee pot and was not cleaned. There was not even a broom so we could clean it ourselves. When we went to check out and make future reservations we were told by the very rude bra less old lady that we could not make reservations because for the next three years she was going to be living there. This cabin doesn t even have running water so not sure how anyone can legally live there. They have Sunday breakfast there and charge $5.00 but wondering if they have a food license. Would not use the pool as the whole weekend we were there it was only cleaned once and restrooms floors were wet and muddy the only cleaning they did in there was empty garbage.

Though this camp ground is not new, it was spotless and obvious that the owners care about details. Mature trees create a wonderful respite from being on the road all day long. Plenty of camp sites, tent, camper, motor home, and pull through sites were all available when we stopped in after hours. The office closes at 5pm, so call ahead for reservations would probably be appreciated. Gracious hosts. Quiet place. Like I said; older, but clean and worth every penny. You're in Pipestone National Monument doorstep...literally! Give it a try.

Posted hours of service are 5pm to 7pm.. The owner works a day job and this campground is really a trailer court with permanent and/or seasonal renters. Calling for help with questions are not resolved until 5pm. We missed out on Pipestone National Monument because we pulled out the next morning. The restrooms had a horrible dank smell. The facilities and service very poor. Good Sam Club needs to look this place over and stop misleading members.

When we called to see if a site would be available and were told yes, we requested one near the restroom. Don't you think that request implies that we wanted access to restroom facilities? When we arrived an hour after our phone call, it was dark and we were tired and hungry from driving all day. I was really looking forward to a nice hot shower. However, we were told that some work was being done in the restroom/shower rooms and the water was off so we could not use them. If we had been told this when we called, we would definitely made other arrangements. We ended up staying because it was late and we were too tired to look for another place. I was very disappointed.

A good, clean and friendly camp stop for our trip out west to Mount Rushmore. Looks like a former KOA facility. The paint is a little tired on the buildings, and there's not a lot of shade trees for some of the sites, but the pool is clean. The laundry facilities are good and the staff is attentive and friendly.

Wonderful staff. Clean restrooms and nice sites. Great location on the edge of town and directly across from the Pipestone National Monument.

I do not recommend this campground for a few reasons; the first being that it was very difficult to reserve a camping spot. My family had chosen to stay here for our family reunion, and had been planning several months ahead. On the first day that reservations could be made, the phone line rang busy every time we tried calling. This continued for a few days before finally being able to reach someone to make a reservation, but by this time there were only a few spots left. We also tried calling and texting alternate numbers, Facebook messaging, and the campground website which was down. My second complaint is the lack of gravel for the actual spots. The spots that we had reserved were all grass, making it difficult to determine where the spot was supposed to be. The spots were very tightly packed into the park as well. My third complaint is that some of my relatives had reserved spots and rented the pavilion, but were told that there was not a reservation in their name. They were told that there were spots left that were available to rent for the weekend though. My fourth complaint is about the pavilion itself. There was supposed to be a full kitchen inside of the building, but there was hardly any countertop space to work on. There was also a dance the night before we rented the pavilion, but the popcorn from the dance had been left in the popcorn maker all night and was still there when we started to set up for our afternoon meal. There was also no air conditioning in the building, and the few windows and fans did not serve the room any justice. My fifth and final complaint would be the staff. When we arrived Friday afternoon, the staff running the office were very friendly, but that same nature was not shown with all that were working the park. Later that evening, during our family dinner, an elderly gentleman stopped at our campsite and very rudely told us to get rid of our family fire pit and then left. He came back five minutes later and rudely told us we were not allowed to drive a street legal UTV except for slowly in and out of the campground. The campground rules specifically said "no ATVs", which was understood that UTVs were allowed. He also claimed to see people "whipping around" on it by the pavilion just before coming to talk to us. We had not moved the UTV in hours, when it first came of the trailer. On Saturday, this same gentleman started to mow the grass right outside of the pavilion during our family meal. He was asked to stop and did right away. My first and only experience here was not a good one, and I will not be coming back.

We spent five months at this campground with both our dogs. Beautiful area with great accommodations. If we are ever in the area we will be back for sure!!
