When I go to Pipestone to hotel, I stay here because the reservation service through corporate is excellent, the general manager here is awesome and will actually clean a room etc. The Night staff I don't want to talk about. I didn't have a phone in my room and she wouldn't let me use the main one or her cell phone when literally the nice old lady working let me use her personal phone to order a pizza from Dar's Pizza. (Go!) I needed to call the Southwest crisis center in Worthington. I just fled my home in Worthington that day.So I just have a question. What happened to that cute little Tipi in the lobby? It definitely looks a lot better with it there.Anyway, I would definitely come back here if I ever went to Pipestone again.Nearby activities: Go see Pam at Prairie Maiden and Johnston's @ the giant Pipe. They will let you in on all the places. Obviously you have to eat at Dar's Pizza and Go to the National Monument.

I was in town for a birthday party and spent a night here. Very pleasant stay. Needs a bit of remodeling. The carpeting runs up some of the walls a few inches. The computer in the "Business Center" has Windows 7 Professional installed so basically worthless. The rooms have ALOT of plug ins, but none of them are USB so make sure you bring your own adapters. The floor in the shower seemed spongy, not sure if that is due to water damage under the floor or a feature to allow better drainage. There is also no fan in the bathroom so the mirror fogs easily and smells linger. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay.

We had an awful experience at this hotel. Terrible customer service. The woman at the front risk was extremely rude. Our flight was delayed 4 hours, and we didn t get in until 1 am and they had cancelled our reservation for the entire weekend and given our room away with out calling. We were traveling with a 3 year old and had no room.Fortunately a family member had an extra room for us to stay in, but the hotel staff wouldn t change the bed linens because they don t do room cleaning until check out, and they were unwilling to make an exception. Our family was gathering here for a family reunion and the woman at the front desk yelled at everyone in the lobby to be quiet several times. I am appalled at such awful customer service. I would not recommend this hotel.

We have stayed at the Grand Stay in Pipestone many times. Each time we stay, the musty smell in the lobby and the rooms get worse. The moisture levels in the rooms is horrendous! Everything is damp. Even the carpet I had to keep shoes on walking around. I went to adjust the airflow in the heat/ ac unit and there was mold all around it! The bathroom sink would not drain. In all the hotel needs updated!!!!

Overall four stars. I would give more but they have a hassle fee. $1.50 for the safe. Only reason is the to increase price and line pockets.I had a whirlpool room and loved the tub and fortunately it had a fan to help move the air.I thought the price was a little high overall and the noise levels as well for a small town in nowhere Minnesota. Also wished they would have offered to clean the room since I was there the nights. I did get more towels no problem. Lived with no coffee in the room since breakfast started early and went later.Overall probably the best place to stay in Pipestone but the price is higher than you'd expect.

The good:The bed was comfortable, not overly hard or soft. The room got very dark when the curtains were closed. It was very quiet, but I had to have the exhaust fan on the whole time so maybe it actually wasn't.The bad:The AC didn't work at all during my stay. It was 90F in October for some reason. The whole room felt damp. The vent fan for the whirlpool couldn't remove the dampness. The shower was broken. The pan around the drain was cracked, and the whole base felt spongy and unsupported. I can hypothesize where the dampness and musty room smell was coming from. There's probably a lot of water damage there.I filled up the whirlpool and turned on the jets before getting in and a bunch of black chunks came out into the water. Not an absurd amount, but enough to deter me from using it. I'm guessing the jet system has mold.

Room 101. Roll in shower. Very spacious area for wheel chairs. Handicap king room. There is no smell. It's very nice. Comfy bed. 4 big pillows on the bed. Sunday night and the pool is empty. Chlorine smell is medium level, not over powering. Desk lady, Deb, super nice and honest. Room is next to storage room for cleaning carts and employee area I guess. So far quiet. Room plus tax less than $100.00. Bath and Body products-stress relief.Dec. 2023Room 103. Regular tub/shower. No smell, very nice, small counter area like a mini kitchen but not. Thursday night, very quiet. No one in pool, tidied well, no excess chlorine. Did not use this time. Bulk shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and single use soap bar and travel lotion all in a new brand I've never seen. Room was very clean. Lobby decorated nicely for the holidays. Staff is super nice and all women this time.

We stayed four nights. We booked a suite because we're seniors and need room for our daily excercies. Bedding and pillows filled the bureau, for the sofa bed, so there was no room for our clothes!? We put the bedding under the rooms single night stand the pillows on the sofa. We didn't ask for it, but there was no room service. The room was clean, but I don't think anyone vacuumed the stairs while we were there. The sink in our room drained very slowly. And now for the good stuff. Interactions with the staff were pleasant. The room was spacious and room lighting was better than many places. Breakfast was okay. Coffee was better than average. One final note, this is a two story building without an elevator.

Stayed here for one night recently, was pleased with the price for the size of the room with a king bed and sofa. Room and hotel were clean, parking is decent. Shower had good pressure, but the A/C was not working as well as it should. Breakfast was as expected, can't go wrong with biscuits and gravy. I would stay here again if needing a room in the area.

Great service! Very nice people! The bathrooms do not have fan/vents though, and that part is really annoying! The refrigerators are tiny and the freezers are not so great but they do have a freezer off of the dining area where they have no problem storing your ice packs and maybe a refrigerator where you can store your cold items that won't fit into the one in your room the until you need them. You'd have to ask about that though!

We are so disappointed in them. We have stayed there so many times and have spent thousands there. My husband tried to stay there tonight and they were so rude. He forgot his wallet at home but had cash. They called and got a credit card number but still wouldn t let him stay because they couldn t break a hundred. Shame on them. We are so disappointed.Rooms: I m too mad. We bring tons of business here.

Very disappointed with this hotel. Upon arrival, we found blood stains on our sheets along with many other stains, I question whether they even changed the sheets or how they didn t notice when they changed the bedding, it was very obvious. When we told the staff they gave us new sheets but that was it. They said they d leave a note The hotel hallway carpet looked like it had never seen a vacuum and the hallway smelled nasty. The pool was super gross and cloudy, you couldn t even see the bottom of the pool. They also decided to clean it on a Saturday afternoon but didn t give any notice. The pool guy was refilling all the chemicals and when asked if it was safe to swim he goes uh, I d wait a few hours but again there was not sign or notice. So if it is unsafe to swim, why wouldn t you notify the guests before we almost went in with our two toddlers? A simple sign on the door would have sufficed. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. Basic toast and bagels but we didn t dare eat it.We would not stay here again or recommend it to friends. The only redeeming quality was the rainbow playset they had outside.

The staff are so kind and helpful. The owner is absolutely amazing. My son dropped a belonging in the hall at some point. The owner took the time to figure out who she thought it belonged to and returned it to us before we left. The rooms were so nice and clean. If you're on the fence on where to stay in Pipestone just take my word for it and book a room at the Grandstay. You will not be disappointed.

Very nice hotel. Beds were comfy. Very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the lady that prepared and served the breakfast in the morning. We had a family reunion in town and a lot of our family stayed here. They had a large outdoor patio that we could all enjoy and a playground and pool for the kids. Absolutely wonderful stay and can't wait to see them again next year.

Great place to stay in Pipestone. Rooms are really comfortable and clean, staff are very nice and courteous. Stayed here while I was on road trip and I've got allergies to dogs, feather bedding, and strong fragrances that I always make sure to let the hotel/motel know about before I get there. Out of the 5/6 hotels/motels I booked for this trip, GrandStay Pipestone was the only one that emailed me and confirmed the room would be free of these things. The hotel I stayed at the night before had the entire bed done in feather bedding and couldn't find the hypoallergenic alternatives they had in the hotel so we slept on towels. The hotel I stayed after had half of the pillows feather/half hypoallergenic. It's a constant challenge, so just really, really appreciate GrandStay not having that as an issue. Highly recommend.

Love this hotel! Staff is sooooo nice and accommodating. Our suite was super clean and exactly what our family of 4 needed to be comfortable. Breakfast is such a nice touch and they have alot of food options for breakfast too!

Very nice place to stay. I do think the fact there is no elevator should be shared. Also more than one washer and dryer would be nice so laundry doesn't take so long to do. I would definitely stay here again. The pool and hot tub were great . The lobby is very comfortable and appealing.

Fair priced for the location. The pool and hot tub looked nice, with Covid we didn't visit. The breakfast bar had a good selection of items individually wrapped for safety but there was mold on my cheese. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were clean.

Was not very impressed with our stay. Our room was very musty smelling and the bathroom reeked of urine. Everything else seemed fine until we tried to go to bed and found someone s HAIR and makeup stains on the sheets. When we asked for clean sheets at the front desk the lady looked confused and asked why. We said we found hair on our sheets and she didn t even apologize. Very disappointed. The lobby is cute and well kept, but it ends there.

First of all their website doesn't clarify or give the option of rooms that are pet friendly... We were bummed to find out we wouldn't be able to have a whirlpool suite, but instead we would get a "pet friendly" room.I'm usually a pretty positive person but can't seem to find much good to say about this experience. As I write this it's 3 AM and I can't sleep due to the fact I have no control over the screeching - must be on it's last leg - fan that kicks on and off even though I have it off...I made the mistake of wanting to keep a drink cold, so I opened the mini fridge which caused the whole room to smell like rotten milk for an hour...The couch is dirty, floors are stained with God knows what.... Got charged for a whirlpool room even though I didn't get it.The price is pretty hefty when compared to the overall experience and amenities.*Edit*I did receive a partial refund that made this overall experience more relevant to the cost.
