Very polite quick people. When I walked in, around lunch time, the line was 7 or 8 people long. But they didn't get frustrated or impatient and just kept doing their job the best they could.

It is a strange time with Covid and the upcoming election....but regardless, every time I have been to this DMV it seems like the people working there are void of personality and really don't want to be there. It is essentially a customer focused business and yet the people that come in seem to an annoyance to the employees. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because the first lady(yes...I intentionally went back on the same day! ) was patient and tried to converse with me as I looked for paperwork. Plus, she seemed bright and was matching her mask to her attire. I hadn't seen her there previously.Especially now, kindness and a smile go a long way!! Even if we can't see your smiles we know when they are there.

Overall was pretty good, Once the second teller come back it was smooth fast sailing from there.

The level of incompetence is stunning. Between the 3 ladies working, none of them could figure out how to transfer ownership of a boat trailer. And they appeared as though they couldn't have cared less that I went away unserved. I would advise choosing a different license center - the workers in Paynesville are utterly lost even when it comes to the most basic functions of their job.

I've been in numerous time, license change, tabs, bringing animals, I've always been respected, taken care of and in a timely manner, thank you Paynesville DMV! I'd also like to add the negative I see are that of the customers, not have all documents or you're being rude and were told to leave because you have to go and get the correct permits excetera.... Again, thank you paynesville! You have great employees!

We stood in line 40 minutes to get a trailer title changed. When we got to the clerk, we had failed to fill out our address and instead of letting us take 15 seconds to do it, she told us we had to go around the corner, finish it and start back at the beginning of the line,which had now grown to about an hour wait. "It's policy" she said. Needless to say, we walked out and were livid at their policies and rudeness!!!!

Amazingly angry tester who complained bitterly about her job. She actually enjoyed giving the details (loudly and in front of other patrons) of why she was failing my son. Angry, angry, angry staffer.

The best place to get your vehicle tabs and driver's license renewed. There was no waiting unlike the Waite Park registrar office where I waited one hour and 50 minutes.

Paynesville Deputy Registrar did great! Customer Service was fantastic, and the antenna/art-installation for the radio was Spectacular!

Staff is friendly and helpful. Staff and facilities are limited which translates to occasional long waits in line.

Go to a different dmv... May I recommend Litchfield or Waite park? Every time I visit this dmv I leave upset.
