Great for ice house rentals all winter long. Have used them for the past 2 winter seasons. Always catch fish! Holes are drilled, lights are on, poles and bait waiting clean, and roomy.

Came earlier in May and rented one of the bass trackers, and I asked initially if everything was good to go. I told them we'd be using the trolling motor often because of the amount of boat traffic that I knew was planning to be on the lake on such a nice day. I was reassured that everything was "good to go," and then as we got out to the spot, the trolling motor didn't work. Went through all the necessary troubleshooting, nothing but one turn of the prop, and then dead. Went back and docked, asked if they could swap out batteries, or boat (which they say they didn't have a spare, nor could swap us out), and so one person pretty much spent all day manning the boat against the wake. Couldn't get a discount or anything, which I was pretty bummed about. But I probably won't be going back.

We rented an Ice House for fishing this past weekend and I have to say Dan went above and beyond in taking care of us. We were very surprised at how clean and well kept the Ice House was. We will be back.

Best place on Tonka to rent pontoons and fishing boats!!Best customer service! The young bucks know what they're doing. Have been renting the bass tracker fishing boat from Metro lakes Marina for over 6 years. Trolling motor batteries will last you more than 6 hours on non-windy days. It gets the job done! You will have a blast!Cheaper than renting from "Your Boat Club" for a 4 hour half day or even a full 8 hour day!Highly recommend to try them out if you haven't yet!It gets busy. So plan ahead!I have had nothing but great experiences from Metro Lakes Marina!

Very great customer service. We took our boat out on the lake for the first time in early May. We needed some gas and was near the marina however, it was 5:45 and they closed at 5. We called and asked if they were open and they kindly said that they would stay just for us to get gas, so we pulled in and filled up rather quickly. For sure a great experience for our first time on the lake this season, we will be returning.

Finding a PWC to rent on lake Minnetonka is not an easy task. I was thrilled that Metro Lakes was able to set up a rental for me SAME DAY!!! The boys at the dock were incredibly nice and to the point. They went through the paperwork, watercraft features, lake laws and safety regulations with us clearly and efficiently. The staff really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and educated without taking up a lot of time. We had a ton of fun and owe a big thanks to the boys for helping us out. Great customer service goes a long way!! I ll definitely be renting from here

I'd like to preface this with the fact that we had pretty bad luck on the lake the day my group rented (on July 24, 2016) but I feel the customer service provided just wasn't top notch. In terms of quality of the boat, safety, price, location everything else was fine and as expected. And also want to preface with saying that the pontoon boat itself was great and we didn't have any issues whatsoever with it.We rented a pontoon boat and a jet ski. From the very start of the day we had trouble with the jet ski. The key wasn't making a good connection so we had trouble starting it. Finally the jet ski just completely died on us (about 2hrs in to a 5hr rental). And I don't blame the marina for this... I know that jet skis can be a bit cranky sometimes. We called the marina several times so they could come out and get the jet ski. We wasted 1.5hrs sitting in the middle of the lake "babysitting" the jet ski while they took their time coming out to get it. To be fair, they did refund us for the jet ski and had even thrown it in for an extra hour for free so we could return the jet ski and pontoon at the same time. But kind of ruined a good chunk of our day when we only had the pontoon rented for 5hrs anyway and had to wait in open water so long for them to come get the jet ski. We were only 15 min away from the marina when the jet ski stopped working... no reason for it to take 1.5hrs to get to us.Other issue was that we got charged $225 for a lost ladder. I don't mind paying for a ladder that we lost but they retail for about $100 on Amazon with free shipping. Yes, we lost the ladder but that's not super uncommon and it's not a hard part to replace. And I'm sure we signed a contract that says we're obligated to pay some "fair market value" for lost/broken parts. So I'm not saying the marina was outside their legal rights to ask us for $225... I just don't think it's good customer service to charge nearly 2.5x for a part that requires no installation/etc.So long as you don't run into any issues I'm sure renting from this marina will be fine. Unfortunately we had some bad luck on the lake.

They made sure that we knew everything to ensure a safe enjoyable trip .We got several nice Northern Pike! I will definitely go to these guys for a fishing boat any time I am back in Minnesota!

We rented a pontoon this last Sunday and I was so happy to get it with less than a weeks notice. The pontoon was not ready however when we arrived at 330 for our reservation. So we lost over 30 mins of being on the lake. Maybe we should have gotten there a bit earlier? The guys were busy. They had 3 other boats going out at the same time and taking 1 in. They were friendly and knowledgeable. Told us about the different buoys and we listened intently never thinking something like hitting the propeller on rocks and damaging it would happen but it sure happened and it was out of no where! The black and white buoys are to let you know you are close to shore but they are not always easily visible and it happened so fast. We brought the pontoon back over a half hour early and told them right away. We were charged 140 for a damaged propeller so that was quite a bummer. Makes me nervous to ever rent a boat again! I know its not metro marinas fault about placement of buoys but I wish it was a bit more clear. My boyfriend does not drink at all so that wasn't even an issue. The guys were nice about it though, I think mostly because we told them right away and we heard that many others do not do that. So overall we had an ok time. Equipment was in good shape. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us on there. We did get charged twice but they did say they were going to refund it so hopefully that credits soon. We also were told a price but it wasn't a weekend price. They did still honor what I was told so that was cool. It was definitely a bummer to lose over an hour of being on the lake because of what happened at the beginning and end. We might rent from here again before summer ends but we shall see. We just need to be extra careful next time.

I've rented a 25' pontoon twice. Staff is awesome! Pricing is fair especially if you split it several ways. Great way to spend a day on the lake if you don't want the major hassle of having your own boat.

If i had the option to leave a zero star rating I would. We had a very negative experience with this business. Our group rented a pontoon for a friend's birthday and we were wrongly charged $91 for damage on the boat that we were not responsible for. On top of that, an employee named Austin was incredibly rude. He accused us of lying and when we told him we would not be returning for their rental services he replied with "Good." Many of us who were on the boat work in the customer service industry and we were so disgusted by how we were treated. Thank you Austin and Metro Lakes Marina and Rentals for ruining our friend's birthday.

I came yesterday on labor day (09/07/2015) at this great place with my friend who live in Minneapolis for three years. I was visiting him from Houston Texas, so we decided to go for boating. We rented from this place, the customer service was absolutely awesome, and the 5 minutes tutorial from them and paperwork was a thriller itself. I would definitely visit again and recommend them to my highest opinion. Two thumbs up and 5 star ratings. :)

Absolutely everything with our jet ski (wave runner) rental was perfect. All our questions were answered, instructions were thorough, and everyone there was super nice and helpful. We rented 3 wave runners for 2 hours and we changed up drivers at the Surfside Park beach where we were having a birthday party. We all had a super fantastic fun time. Thanks you guys! I hope we can come back soon!

We had a great experience at Metro Lakes! All the staff was very helpful and prompt. Dan, the owner, was our driver. He was experienced, knowledgable, and related well to all ages and types on our boat!Wonderful day. (even if we did have to dodge a few showers)

I'd recommend looking elsewhere. We were told we damaged the prop and that we don't know how to trim up the motor... which is laughable. They charged us $90 on top of the $500 we had already paid. While talking to the representative, he said this happens often (dead giveaway). Inspect every square inch of the boat/prop and take photos. Don't fall for the laid back pre trip inspection. The edges of the prop were a tiny but roughed up but they will chalk it up to "chipped paint" during the pre trip then charge you for the damage upon return. We have tons of experience on boats/ pontoons and this damage did not occur on our trip. Very disappointed in this company. We were planning on coming back with a larger group but will be going elsewhere after that stunt.

Owner called and left a message on our phone after we dropped off our boat rental, saying that we hit a rock and would be charged $85. We absolutely did not hit a rock, nor were in any shallow water during our rental. The attendant OK'd the return when we turned it in, so we didn't expect a call over an hour later. After explaining this to the owner, he said he wouldn't charge us, but that we can never go there again. Absolutely appalled. Beware of bad business and bad customer service.

This is a great place with excellent workers and owners. I rented a small boat for four days, going back and forth to a nearby island, so I was in and out of here several times a day. Dan and his workers were always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and I got a good price on the rental as well. They have a small shop for supplies as well as clean bathrooms and even rental condos on the lakeshore. I recommend them highly!

Staff was nice. Check in and check out process was easy. Competitively priced rentals for Lake Minnetonka but....Fleet of boats don t have bathrooms onboard; every other boat rental place I have been to on Lake Minnetonka has them. This is a bigger issue if you are traveling with young children or the elderly. Had trouble with the motor (all day rental) going full throttle and I didn t get the sense the staff cared or was going to fix it for the next renter. Staff doesn t adhere to social distancing or mask wearing protocols consistently during all interactions

I recommend this guild service. The house was nice and well taken care of. They set us up with drilled holes, poles, bait, propane, and electricity..they checked regularly to make sure we were on fish. And that we were taken care of.

My wife and I rented their 17.6" tracker fishing boat. Its a pretty nice boat. They did not have much details about their boat online but i gave it a shot. It has a 50hp motor. Room seating for 3. Has a fishing seat towards front and also one towards the back. Plenty of room for 2 people. Steering. Awesome minnekota 45lbs trolling motor. Lowarnce fish finder. Key start. Motor runs great. Nice red boat. $265 ish after tax.Staff was very friendly and helpful. Gave me helpful tips as well. Would really recommend.Only lost 1 star because as a first time steering fishing boat I did not know what the button "Blige " was for. Hence i did not use it. On our way back to return the boat the boat seemed off. The front of the boat will lift up if you accelerate. The boat seemed a bit more fragile and will bounce around. Couple times it seemed like we wouldve sank. Thankfully it did not. When we returned the boat, staff drained the boat and even stated the boat usually gets a lot of water and needs "blige" to be on at all times. I wished i wouldve known this before hand.Otherwise, this was a great rental trip. Awesome staff. I would rent again.

Great experience renting a pontoon from Metro Lakes Marina & Rental for an afternoon on Lake Minnetonka. Staff were extremely friendly & helpful. Even in the COVID-19-era, felt safe knowing they fully sanitize all boats between renters.

Our boat was not ready upon arrival; however, after some compromising with the guys at Metro Marina, my brother and I were able to work out something that would ensure our vacation was not ruined. The guys at Metro had our boat ready each day we arrived for 4 days in a row. They were helpful and respectful, and thanks to them our vacation was a blast!I will definitely use Metro Marina again in the future!

The boat was great as well as the service, however, was disappointed to see all employees unmasked, no social distancing measures taken. We had to ask an employee to keep their distance. Personally, it made me feel very uncomfortable and anxious.
