ABC1Stop is where I bring my vehicle for service. The prices are reasonable. The service is high quality. They're good about explaining what needs to be done and why. In my experience, they are good and decent people.

Thank you Fred and ABC1Stop, in Moose Lake, as he runs a great business doing fantastic work. He is trustworthy, dependable, and the automotive repairs are very affordable! Our 2008 Odyssey with over 200,000 miles is brought there with any issues we have.Yesterday, I heard a loud grinding sound with the rear brakes and called Fred, who got us in the very next day! He is truly a man who is kind and honest. Thank you Fred for always making room for any issues with our van and keeping it running.

Fred and his crew are amazing, especially hard to find a mechanic shop this great! Brought my car into another shop and they couldn t figure out what was wrong so I brought it to this shop. Right away they test drive it and even showed me where on my car and what was wrong! He didn t even charge, there was a rock stuck good in my wheel and they took it out asap. Will always be bringing my car here!

Was on the road with my 2002 honda, and my tired was making voices while turning.These guys are awesome, had me stop by and lifted my car to take a look. Was a quick fix (my car bottom was peeling off) and they didn't Even charge me. I gave the tech a $20 tip. These guys are what makes the world go round.

They helped us out when our trailer broke down on I35. They were reasonable and honest with their time, work and what they charged. Even though he was short staffed he was able to get us back on the road without anymore issues. I couldn't recommend this place of business more.

I have used Fred and his compadres for several years now and I don't know what I did before I found them. I have had more simple to semi major repairs done and they are considerate, respectful and have always worked with me on everything from teaching me basic car knowledge to helping me out with making arrangements for payment. I would highly recommend that you bring your car to ABC1Stop the next time your car is sick. I stopped here unannounced while traveling and had an unexpected issue with my vehicle. Fred was very nice and extremely helpful. He and his mechanic (whose name I cannot recall) provided immediate assistance, solved the problem, and answered all my questions - all with a more than reasonable charge. If I lived closer, this would be the only auto repair business I would use. Plus, Brutus is the cutest and sweetest staff person there - he alone would be worth the trip!

Fred and his staff went above and beyond to help me when I was stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire, down the road from his shop. They temporarily fixed my tire and ordered a new one, that arrived the following day.

Sept. 2018, while traveling alone on 35W north a hole shot through on my Jeeps radiator which caused me to stall 2 miles south of Moose Lake. The towing company in the photo retrieve me and towed me to ABC1 Stop where I was helped with my extensive care repairs. They did a fabulous job and saved me swim having to potentially scrap my beloved Jeep. I was able to leave it and continue on my Sister Getaway and left it in their hands to be repaired.They exceeded my expectations when they handed me my bill. Who goes anywhere nowadays and walks away paying less then their original quote? This is a very honest owner and shop in my opinion and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving them your business.If I lived in the area, they would be my new go to repair shop. Give them a try!

They were fantastic. My clutch went out in a road trip and they were able to accommodate me on a Saturday. Fred showed me under the car and explained to me everything about what the problem was so I could make informed decisions, and did all the immediate repairs necessary to get me back on the road. Super nice, kind, and professional.

Our car died near here on the way back to the cities, and my job was starting the next day. What started off as a stressful day was saved by this very helpful and friendly shop. Our car was fixed and out the door by the end of the business day, and we were given a ride to a nearby restaurant as we waited. At the end, the price was phenomenal and far lower than I expected.Everyone working was super friendly and helpful, and I don't have a single complaint. I live 2 hours away and would gladly drive back just for the service.

Worth the hour drive out of the city. Fred is very personable. My go to car shop.A year later and I still go to Fred for everything. Reliable, great service. From a nice, caring (handsome) guy.Won't let my leave another review. But still a year later I go to fred. I trust him to to get my car running well and safe. Never worried about being overcharged or taken advantage of. Also just love the way he treats his customers. Almost like family. We were up north camping near Moose Lake when we needed service on our vehicle. Didn't want to drive back to St Paul without having it checked. Fred worked us in his schedule even though he was closing in a few hours and it was a holiday weekend. He immediately knew what was wrong and got it fixed while we waited. He also pointed out (by showing us and with pictures) some other things our mechanic back in St Paul wasn't doing or at least doing correctly. Very honest and reasonably priced. We have already made an appointment for some additional work we need done. Its worth the trip! Hit a deer on I35 with my Juke on my way to an MRI in Minneapolis. Frank made sure to clean up the damage, patch up the turbo air intake, and check that the dislodged radiator didn't leak and that the car was safe to drive. In the short time he was doing that, the friendly dog made sure I didn't cause any trouble. When I asked about the price, Frank didn't want to hear about taking any money. Made it to my appointment on time.

We go to ABC 1 Stop for routine maintenance. Fred is quick and efficient and always has a great attitude. I have sent my daughter and grandson there for many needed repairs. Even though they have to come from Duluth, it's worth the drive! Other shops have overcharged and overlooked vital safety issues and not identified the problems. Fred is so honest and fair in his pricing. So thankful to have found such a great mechanic that we can trust!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I called and they were able to take a look at my vehicle right away and had it fixed within 24 hours of me dropping it off. They were super friendly and willing to help me out. Would highly recommend coming here.

I found ABC 1 Stop on the internet. They have a great web page and it says bring in your own parts and they will install them, labor only. That's exactly what I was looking for! I have parts but no garage to work on my own vehicles anymore. I've worked in the auto repair business both as a mechanic, and behind the service desk. From my very first telephone conversation with Fred, the owner, I felt comfortable bringing my vehicle in to have my shock absorbers replaced. I'm new to the area and don't know anyone, so I was going in blindly. I walked in, handed over my keys to Fred, and they got right on it. After a short while, Fred came out of the shop to discuss some unforeseen problems with rust on my old 1990 van that was going to ad to my cost of the install. I gave him the okay to go ahead and fix it and they found a creative way to do so. Over all, there were no hidden charges or added fees, just friendly customer service and straight forward pricing. On top of that, the mechanic David S came out of the shop to hand over my keys and he explained everything he did and answered all my questions regarding the repair to my old rusty van. I will not hesitate to go back for service. Or, maybe just to see Fred's sidekick......Service: Steering & suspension replacement

I was on my way to Duluth for my birthday trip and my car's change oil light was on. I stopped by ABC1 and they took care of my car immediately. I got to be on my trip right away. Owner (Fred)'s dog is so cute and I had a good time there. On my way back, I ran into thunderstorm and I felt so lucky that that I stopped by their store. The service is totally reasonable priced. Fred even gave me a discount for my birthday, he is so warm-hearted.

Everyone is friendly, they were able to get me in as soon as I showed up. They were able to replace my tire rod within 3 hours. I would highly recommend this mechanic shop. The environment is very welcoming.

I was heading to Duluth for a friend s wedding (a 5+ hour drive for me and I was all alone). Just before Moose Lake, me car started to sound a little different and I noticed that my radiator temp was rapidly increasing. I pulled into an auto store who advised me to add coolant (wasn t low but tried it anyway as simple troubleshooting). When that didn t seem to help I asked for some information to contact a local auto shop. They gave me a list and I started calling. Some thought maybe my water pump but said they wouldn t be able to get to it until Monday or a Tuesday at the soonest (this was a Friday evening). When I called ABC 1 Stop, he said he would take a look at my car for me Friday evening right away! I headed over and he checked out a few things. He was able to determine that only one of my fans were working. He noticed that my fuse had blown for that fan and replaced it for me. He even sent a second fuse with me just in case it were to blow again. Thanks to him I was able to make it to my friend s wedding and back home safely the next day. He did all this while teaching me as he checked things out and wishing me the best on my travels! He was super kind and helpful and it was clear that he cares about helping people and not taking advantage of someone. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the area (or traveling through)!!

Amazing and genuine people!! My family and I were traveling back to the Twin Cities from Grand Rapids. We had our brake line burst while at a pit stop at Holiday gas station in Moose Lake. Called two local auto repair shops, one of the being ABC1 Stop. When calling ABC1 Stop, they said we could stop by and they would take a look at it. They worked us into their already booked schedule. After about an hour of work, everything was fixed. Very greatful on how quick their were able to fix our brake line.Service: Auto brake repair

ABC1 Stop is amazing! I was traveling back to Duluth and right by Moose Lake I had some car issues and was unable to travel much farther. Even though it was a busy day for the shop, Fred told me to bring it in and he would do his best to get me back on the road again. I needed to get back at the end of the day for an important meeting, and Fred fixed it in no time! He was a delight to work with, he and his staff are very knowledgeable about vehicle repair, and the pricing is fair! I would recommend Fred's shop to anyone needing repairs! Had a great experience here. Had some unexpected car trouble and found the shop, even though it was a Saturday afternoon they were willing to fit me in. Fred, the owner, was very friendly and knowledgeable and took time to show me what had happened. He also quoted me a price before moving ahead with the work so I knew exactly what I would be paying. Fred was very helpful and kind when I took my vehicle in for an alternator change. He helped me understand how to care for other parts of the car and shared some tips on how to take better care of it. Very personable and friendly people working there who will be up front and honest about servicing your vehicle. They really care about you as a customer and your car.
