Baker Road Automotive is great! My vehicle was serviced in 01/02/24 and I had a great experience. Routine service was performed along with repairing a problem with the vehicle. I appreciated the upfront pricing and no surprises when I picked up the vehicle. Some additional maintenance items were suggested and quoted so I can plan accordingly to have those items addressed when it works for my budget.

I've used them for both my cars (older Jaguar and Volvo). I'm delighted they take a look, find the problem, and explain what needs to be done. Today I used them as a second opinion of a quote that I received from a close by shop,. A quick look and they saved me a ton. About 1/3 the quoted price which apparently included items that didn't need to be done. I'm single and it's a bit of a challenge to drop cars off. But, for major service, I trust them to do the job right and to provide a loaner.

I had my car serviced this week at Baker Road Automotive and had a wonderful experience. While most auto body shops are all quoting long wait times due to lack of laborers, Eric and Rick were able to get my car done in less than 48 hours.They were helpful right from the beginning, with recommending a towing company (Kelly s towing) which came in under 10 minutes, to helping me get the diagnostic and assembly very quickly. Rick did a fantastic job of listening to my concerns and understanding the issues I was having with my jeep. He advised me on the best course of action and he and his team were able to repair my brakes the same day. It brakes so smooth now! Thank you so much! Baker Road Automotive is a first class experience from drop off to pick up! In the past I have had my oil changed and just light maintenance performed on my 2007 Pontiac G6. Mostly because I have honestly never had to put any work into my little beast besides occasional routine jobs. Not this time.......one day coming out of the grocery store smoke was coming out from under the hood.....I finally got to use my Triple AAA membership....FINALLY! My car was dropped off "after hours" on a Friday afternoon. Staff was still around and let me in, offered me a loaner, which was great but I didn't need at the time being a weekend. I had a feeling it was going to be something big. Would wait for the dreaded phone call. On Monday, got the dreaded phone call, I needed a radiator, a water pump, a serpentine belt, some hoses, etc. Big sigh. Rick was great with phone calls back and forth between me and my husband to get approval for the work, which took multiple calls trying to reach both of us. Long story short, as the week went on, since my car was in the shop, I keep adding more work on. My heated drivers seat stopped working sometime this winter so I asked for a quote to fix it. Then I asked if they could fix my turn signal that had not worked for several years and I got used to manually turning it off. The staff was GRACIOUS AND FRIENDLY and so easy to work with. To my surprise, my car was completely finished and ready for pick up before the week was over. Since my car is old, the heated seat parts are no longer available but Rick provided me with a contact who may be able to help. All my repairs were done with a little surprise that I didn't expect either!I am a HUGE customer service person who enjoys sharing my appreciation when it deserves to be acknowledged. I don't write many reviews but I always read them. It matters. I often make decisions based on reviews. My husband has been taking his vehicles to Baker Road Automotive for a long time and I believe they now have a wife to add to their list of return clients.THANK YOU.....BAKER ROAD AUTOMOTIVE. Eric, Rick, and the rest of your amazing and friendly staff. I had a great first experience at Baker Road Automotive! It's been recommended to me by coworkers for a while and I was sick of having the dealership give me the run around every visit.It was easy to make my appointment by calling, and they had availability within a few days. Through the whole process, they were great communicators and my vehicle was done quickly! They even made me aware of my tires being close to bald without any pressure to have them do it. Just wanted me to be safe on the road.I'll be bringing my vehicle here for all future service!!!Service: Oil change

Baker automotive has been a go to repair shop for many years now. They are courteous and honest and do not go over board on things that aren t needed. Eric and Rick are always nice to talk to. After reading the great reviews, I decided to start taking my vehicles to Baker. I wasn t disappointed. They are friendly and upfront about repairs. Recently I have a water pump go out on my SUV. While doing the diagnosis, they took the time to call the dealership to attempt to get the work done under warranty. The repair was completed in a timely manner and a loaner vehicle was provided. I will continue to use them with all of my vehicles service.

2018: Baker Road Automotive expanded it's ability to provide quality automotive maintenance for German imports when new owner, Eric, a former certified Audi mechanic, took over a year ago. While still providing excellent service for American and other imports, I know my RS6 and 30 year old 911 are in good hands. Baker Road Automotive's location is very convenient and their charges are reasonably priced. I have been using Baker Road Automotive for over 6 years since moving to Glen Lake and have found them friendly, caring and honest. They offer timely deals for regular maintenance on all cars. Thanks Eric and Rick for years of quality care for all my cars, German and American.5/3/21 Update: Eric and Co. did a magnificent job in replacing my Audi RS6 brake pads/lines and rotors last week in addition to two front bearings. By going to BRA, I saved significantly over what the dealership had bid for the job. Thanks again, Eric.10/22 update: Eric, Rick & Tom make a great team at Baker Road with their chief aim being customer satisfaction. They are my go-to place for auto diagnosis & repair. Braking had become noticeably softer recently & inspection of right rear pad showed slippage of a pad on one side that was askew & worn very unevenly. Quality parts were installed in both sides of the rear. Accurate diagnostics & timely repair make it easy to highly recommend BRA for your automotive repair needs. If you don't bring your vehicle here you are missing out on excellent serviceFinding a decent, honest mechanic can be very stressful especially being a single woman. I heard about Baker Road Automotive last year through a friend and decided to give them a try.I'm very pleased with the work Baker Road Automotive has done on my vehicle ranging from oil changes to simple repairs to general check-ups before going on a road trip. Their pricing is competitive and they will give you approximate costs on larger repairs and what concerns need to be taken care of now and what can wait a little bit before needing to be addressed.Everyone there is knowledgeable, friendly and all have a great sense of humor. I definitely made the right choice coming here.

I have finally found my go to auto service company! I just had a full synthetic oil change on my Charger and was blown away with the service I received. It started with Rick s warm personality on the phone combined with his incredible knowledge. I also spoke with a mechanic when I picked my vehicle up and once again I felt important and treated like royalty. The girl at the front desk was also very friendly! My Charger was done early with a fair price and I will be back with my wife s car. I enthusiastically recommend Baker Road Service!

My first experience with Baker Automotive was very positive. I came to them for a second opinion, so I know the pricing was competitive to another independent shop and much cheaper than the dealer. My repair was on a BMW leaking oil due to a cracked valve cover for a BMW. They are my new independent shop for future business.

CHARGES FOR ESTIMATESI recently moved and needed a new garage close to my home. After reading reviews, I took my vehicle to Baker Road Auto expecting to have a positive experience.There is nothing on the garage website that indicates they charge for an estimate.There is no signage in the store that says they charge for an estimate.I spoke with the garage multiple times, and there was no mention of charges for an estimate.Charges never came up until I came to pick up my car, which the garage was threatening to withhold until payment.This was the rst and last time I will take a car to Baker Automotive. I have never been charged for a repair estimate at any other garage. The business practices at Baker Automotive are misleading, fraudulent and coercive. Nothing but good things to say about this shop. My Acura was leaking large amounts of oil, and had some additional issues with tail lights and brake lights. It's an older car that I plan on selling soon, so the thought of having to pay significant amounts of money to get it fixed was off putting. I called this shop and Rick (I believe is who I spoke with) talked through the issues with me and made it clear that he understood my desire to minimize costs. Coming from Houston where mechanics can be predatory in up-selling, these guys restored my trust, or at least they definitely earned it. They found the issue with the leak, called back with an estimate for all the work that I was comfortable with. Prior to starting the work I remembered I had purchased a small part that would take me 20-25 minutes to replace, but would take less than 5 minutes for a pro to change. I (boldly) asked if they would mind doing it complimentary for me. They said that they will take a look at what it entails, and if it is what I said it is in terms of time for them, then it would not be a problem. Long story short, not only did they replace the part for free, but my final balance due was $50 less than what I was told... I don't think that ever happens. I was recommended this place by my father in-law, and I will happily recommend this place to all my friends/family. I drove from Minneapolis out to their shop, and will continue to do so in the future because of the fantastic customer service, quality work, and extremely reasonable pricing.

I've always valued honesty, professionalism, and thoroughness in an auto body shop, and I can firmly say Baker Road services goes above and beyond on all of the above. I have never felt pressured or like they are trying to sell me on unnecessary expenses on my car; they also explain in an easy to understand manner, as I have limited knowledge with mechanics and cars. I also really appreciate the loaner vehicle that you can use free of charge--as long as it's available, while your car is in the shop. Thank you, Baker Road service for the timing belt repair and auto transmission service!!

Amazing service I highly recommend them! David took great care of me, He made walking me through the service of my car quick and easy. The mechanics took great care of my Mustang and were incredibly knowledgeable and fast with the service. I drive from the other side of Minneapolis and only trust Baker Road with my vehicles.

So happy I found Baker Road Service. They give you an up front fair price on repairs and stick to it never trying to up-charge you.Since getting used cars for both of my teenagers the crew at Baker Road have ensured they are safe reliably running cars at an affordable cost. Baker Road Automotive provides SUPERIOR service giving all your options for each issue with no hard sell which is refreshing to say the least! Top notch service with cost effective options and quick accurate repairs once your decisions are made. Plus they have loaner vehicles if needed while they have your vehicle in for repair. Could not ask for more! I highly recommend them!

From the moment I walked in through the door, I knew this is the right place. Great customer service! Highly trained, professional, kind respectful, and caring staff. I am very satisfied with their services. Mechanics are very professional and HONEST. I had to fix small problem on my bmw f30, and they fixed it for me very quick and for very affordable price (8 times cheaper that the estimate I got at BMW dealership, no joke). I will definitely be visiting this place again, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone! Thank you for unforgettable experience!

I've been taking my VW Jetta here for maintenance and repairs for a few years now, and always leave feeling taken care of. Everyone has always been friendly and taken the time to best explain any issues and options, then do an excellent job. Awesome team, and amazing service when it comes to emergencies! Would recommend to anyone.

Very efficient and extremely reasonable laborI was very pleased with the service to my Honda CRV. They replaced both front sway bar linkages, one of which was broken. They provided me with a loaner vehicle, but completed the work within just a few hours. The labor charge (with $20 coupon) was only $98, which I think was extremely reasonable!Service: Steering & suspension repair

Believe the reviews- they offer quality services at the best prices and go above and beyond to make things right. I ve come here for 3 service appointments, most recently for a light that was out. I picked up my car and tested the light when I got home and it still didn t work! I called after hours and they got me on the schedule for the next day, figured out it was a bad bulb, didn t charge me for the new parts or service, and then offered to pick me up from work with my car! I ve always been able to make appointments soon and they have free loaner vehicles (nothing flashy, but they drive). They have upfront pricing and always call with any additional recommendations before doing the work with zero pressure. The staff is super friendly and someone is in the office by 7 for key drop off. Their prices are better than any of the dealers or other mechanics in the area.

I ve always had a great experience with Baker Road Service. They do the job well, and I believe they work with integrity and honesty. I haven t thought this way about any other auto shop in decades! They go the extra mile and work hard to earn your business. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a large or small repair or maintenance. You won t be disappointed!

These guys are great! We didn t have an appointment but needed last minute help on our do it yourself project on my wheel bearings. They were very accommodating and got us in and out to press the bearing. My mom has always bragged about 'Baker Rd. Automotive' but I never tried until I had to! My car battery had died at my mom's, Baker Auto had the battery I needed! (I had to wait until the next day at Tires Plus) It's in a very convenient location, everyone I have encountered seem to be very knowledgeable about any ? I may have!

I took my Mercedes ML350 in for a transmission and radiator flush. I also had the technician diagnose my check engine light. All work was done in a professional manner. I was given a printout of the check engine light fault code. The issue could only be fixed by a software update through Mercedes. Very pleased with the work and the price charged.
