After being routinely underwhelmed by the service at Minnetonka BMW, I finally decided to try a new option.My interaction with John (the owner) and Dana (his super front desk manager) at Uptown Imports was great from start to finish - clear communication, appointment scheduling, loaner car, vehicle service and inspection.Thanks for a job well done!

They did a great job fixing my Volvo XC60. It had a lot of engine problems, they were able to diagnose and repair it in a timely manner. Great people to work with. Will be returning for regular maintenance. Recommend highly !

Responsive to initial contact, clear understanding of the problem, responsive appointment scheduling, helpful guidance for finding the service location, efficient and accurate diagnosis, and on the spot repair at a competitive price. I was an out-of-town customer in the middle of a trip a possible invitation for abuse. They were both honest and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Always happy w Uptown Imports! It s never fun shopping for a mechanic, glad I was referred to them.A dealership wanted me to spend thousands of dollars to replace my transfer case, with the hopes of fixing my 4WD.They took the time to diagnose the actual problem, and fixed my 4WD without having to replace the transfer case, saving me thousands.I ll be back.

We got our brake pads and rotors replaced on our 2017 VW Touareg. We made the appointment a couple days in advance, and got the car repaired in a timely manner. Very easy to drop the car and get the work done and picked up when the job was finished. Thanks to Dana for keeping us posted on the estimate for the job and during the actual repair process!

I m grateful to have found a shop that cares for my Volvo. I had clear communication from Dana and John, and was given a complementary Lyft ride home after dropping off my car for service.. Not everybody in town deals with Volvo, and I m grateful for their work.

My favorite new shop. A local shop had my car for a month then said they can't work on it. Then the dealership wanted 6k$ to fix the wrong parts. These guys figured it out for a fraction of the cost and got it done in 2 days. I recently purchased a "new" used Volvo. I had a few concerns so I booked an appointment here. I'm so glad I did. I thought there might be something wrong with the brakes and suspension. I was thinking I might have to spend a couple thousand dollars and it was stressing me out. When Dana called me I so pleasantly surprised! She walked me through what the mechanic found. Turned out I just needed an alignment. I also had an issue with the spray from the windshield washer fluid being super weak. Turns out there was a pinch in a hose somewhere. No charge for this fix! I'm obviously not a car guy and quite frankly they could have ripped me off if they were unscrupulous. They have gained a loyal customer and I would recommend Uptown to anyone needing car repairs.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto brake repair, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment

If you're looking for comprehensive car care, Uptown Import is the place to be. When I took my Mercedes there, I discovered that my car had previously been repaired without a proper diagnosis of its underlying problems. I'm thankful to have finally found a trustworthy shop. The entire team at Uptown Import was skilled, courteous, and eager to assist.

Uptown imports doesn t joke around! They are friendly and welcoming - I ve had several cars inspected here. They are slightly higher in price however, I think it s worth it.

My car broke down and I had to have it towed somewhere. My regular mechanic was on vacation and I was in a pinch. A friend of mine recommended Uptown inports, the name scared me because I figured I d get charged import car prices even though my car was made in America. Gotta say my fears were unfounded, they were professional informative and knew what they were doing. They went through the trouble shooting with me and communicated to me the diagnostic process, estimated prices and revise me when they found additional problems. They repaired my car suitably at a decent price. They also advised me of other issues and quoted me repair prices.If my normal Mechanic was not equally as good and professional, These guys would get 100% of my business!

I hate taking my car to get fixed. Who doesn t? Frustrated with Honda dealers I began searching for alternatives and found Uptown Imports. What a breath of fresh air. These folks have it figured out. Dana was upfront, transparent, and concise about what our car needed and what our options were. They were fast and courteous with every step of the process. The folks at this place are so nice. The diagnostic estimate was $150 compared to my Volvo dealership $220. I immediately saved $70. They completed the diagnostic for the check engine light and only charged me $75 because it was so minimal.I will definitely be using them again and highly recommend you consider them. Let me say this as a woman, it was a total blessing to walk into this shop and not get the run around. The mechanics here and pure genius and spoke to me in very basic terms. The service manager, Dana, was like some guardian Angel sent who took into account my personal story and was able to let me use a loaner car while my car was in their shop so I could get back and forth to work/school. The peace of mind I now have when I drive back home to Texas is beyond valuable. Thank you to every last person that works under that business. They were very thorough. Sent pictures for me of last place I took my car to. I was uneasy at first because it was a new place and I have had bad experiences with car places. Dana allowed me to voice that and she took every measure to make sure I was getting the best service. WITH PROOF. I have to say that Dana was hands down the reason I wanted to fix my car here.First of all, I drive a Volkswagen and almost all shops I called either turned me away or laughed about working on a messed up engine like mine. Never, never, never going to bring a car to this shop again. Where should I begin? I had an appointment for my 2017 Mercedes to have the sunroof assessed for damage due to an accident. Called for a status update the next day and they had not even looked at it yet. I asked why they made an appointment when they did not look at it for another day and the owner replied that they were busy. He was rude and condescending whenever I spoke with him. Three days later the insurance adjuster arrived and he told me they wanted to order all of these parts and then would send them back if they didn't use them. He only approved payment for the inspection of the roof to assess the damage. Two days later (the car has now been in there shop for 10 days) I got a call telling me they did not have the expertise to do the inspection because it required removing the windshield and Mercedes does not readily share information/instructions of how to do the inspection. They charged me $150 for the "inspection" anyway.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Took my 2011 Volvo S60 to Uptown Imports for a cooling module repair. I went to another shop first for diagnostic & due to interaction with staff & price quoted I went to Uptown Imports for second opinion. I got my car fixed for half the price quoted from other shop! I was given a loaner car for the few days they had my car. Dana is amazing, on top of everything. Clean professional space. Great customer service. Highly recommend!
