These guys really know their stuff. They worked on my 2002 Avalanche and told me what I should replace if I was interested in it due to its age I did not. But these guys can fix anything, they installed a new brake line and was able to give my truck the care it needed at a reasonable price. Now I will have them service my Lincoln before winter. I cannot say enough about them even the gal at the front desk is a pleasure to talk to.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I my daughter's car was in an accident and put into the impound. When we left it wasnot drivable. David took it in when he was already very busy ND fixed it enough to get us home safely! This is the only automotive business I can 100% trust. I ve been coming here since I got my first car at 16. Dave is very transparent and informative about the status of your car and it s possible needs. Coming here is not only supporting a family business in the community but two amazing people who are passionate about what they do, as well as the care they give their customers.

Absolutely the best and most informative mechanic I know of. Very ethical and will tell you if it doesn't make sense to do something on your vehicle, like replace an expensive sensor if nothing else is wrong.Also, willing to work on older (classic) vehicles that other shops aren't willing to work on.That are very busy so it may that a week or more to get an appointment.

These guys are awesome. They are so trustworthy, kind, efficient, and do 100% quality work. I had to find a new mechanic when I moved and I am so happy to have found them. I drive a 95 Honda Accord - so it needs some special TLC and also an understanding of cost/benefit work on a car that age. These guys are so wonderful. They're always able to get my car worked on right away. They answer every question, they also help explain exactly what is going on with my car and why. They help you make the right decision about repairs, etc.

Stinson Auto is the best auto shop I've ever used. They are so kind, knowledgeable, and sweet! I know anytime my car needs servicing that they are the best option. I have complete confidence in them and will use them for years to come even if I move out of Northeast. I recommend them to family and friends because we've had such great service for the past five years. I have just moved to the neighbourhood. I had a problem with my Mazda jeep. Dave immediately took care of the problem, with great care. He is very experienced with any kind of car and easily fixed my problem. He explained everything in great detail and it was very affordable. It is great to have a local place like this in the neighbourhood. 5 star service. I will recommend this place to any of my friends

I came to this shop due to the reviews and not being familiar with mechanics in the area and am leaving as a satisfied customer. Best repair shop I've worked with hands down. I had two separate issues with my car within a two month span that were hard to pin down. Throughout the process I was provided with a loaner car, received a call off hours to check in and see if the issue was still present and they even came to my house one of the times to diagnose the issue in my driveway when my car wouldn't start. Prices were very reasonable and service outstanding! Will be recommending this shop to all my friends and family.

I would recommend them to all my friends and family. I can t say enough good things about David and the other friendly staff there. When you find someone honest and trustworthy it s such a relief. I ve never felt better about giving my money to an auto shop. They ve always done the best the could to find ways of making things affordable when at all possible and honestly laying out all the options without any pressure whatsoever.

David & Leeann are the greatest people. David does exceptional work. David is absolutely the best mechanic that I ve ever worked with in my life. David is very factual and knowledgeable about vehicles and provides the best possible solution for the customer. If I could give this mechanic shop 1 million stars. I would. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Very kind, quick, and so affordable!!! I needed a new alternator and I got one a few years ago so they even kindly asked if the last place had a warranty so I could get it done for free at the last place I had it done! The warranty ran out so I opted for them to put in a new one, but this time around my alternator was much cheaper, faster, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty, so blessed to have found this place!!!

My parents' have been going to Stinson Auto for the past 20 years and I have followed in their footsteps ever since I learned how to drive (which was 11 years ago). Dave and Leann are beyond amazing and are completely trustworthy.Not only does Dave teach me about what's going on with my vehicle, but he will let me know what's worth spending the money on and what's not.This review really doesn't do them justice. Stinson Auto is exceptional and I recommend them to everyone!

Honest hard working people. Outbof all the Auto Shops I have been to, these guys are the best. Had my AC compressor replaced. They won't try to get additional sales out of you. They will let you know if they find something else while working on your vehicle and let you know how urgent it is. I totally recommend these guys.

Amazing! Always top-notch customer service. They'll tell you what other stuff they find while doing the work you requested. They tell you what is essential and what isn't and let you deiced. They don't hold your car hostage forcing you to have your "blinker fluid" changed, or pressure you into paying for other services than what you asked for. They simply inform you of what is happening with your vehicle.Quick, reliable, excellent, service. Truly a garage you can trust!

We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have this as our local auto repair shop. They are honest, fast, and fair. I am not a car guy by any means, and they always take the time to explain problems and options for how to fix them. We have a neighborhood partner in keeping our cars running as they should.

You won't find a better shop. Period. Leann runs a tight ship and Dave and his small crew are great. They are honest, thorough, and keep you in the loop when it comes to diagnosis. Great shop, would recommend them to anybody.

Friendly knowledgeable staff. I got a follow up call a few days later after my repair asking if my vehicle was running well. I don't remember any other mechanic doing that in my 20+ years of driving.I was given estimates on suggested items that needed to be addressed but there was no pressure put on me to do them immediately.I just moved to the area and am happy to have found an honest shop close by.

Family operated and gives great pricing and doesn't scam for things that don't need to be done. They are very good about going over what needs to be done and what can wait for another time.Breathe of fresh air to go to a car shop that takes their customers into account and helps them make the right decision and great staff!

I love that I can take my car to David and Leann and trust they will do a great job at a fair price. They communicate often, explain things in a way I can understand, and don't upsell. David even went out to start my car today in 10 degree weather while I paid my bill. Can't say enough good things about Stinson auto!

Stinson automotive is the place. Put simply: I do not speak car. Dave always communicates with me in simple terms that someone who knows nothing about cars can understand. He always tells me what's wrong with my cars but never insists that anything be fixed. He ranks problems in terms of safety and says "Here's everything that's wrong with the car, and if you can only fix one thing do this: xyz"I feel like I can really trust Dave and Leann to tell me what is needed and I can trust that they won't rip me off. Fair prices, amazing service and amazing communication. Don't even hesitate.

I'm a lifelong northeastern, bu this was the first time I've been to Stinson Automotive. I do a lot of my own auto work but my '14 Acura MDX needed a knock sensor, water pump and timing belt, some serious engine surgery. Found Dave very knowledgeable plus excellent communications around if we did or didn't do the knock sensor replacement. His estimate was fair given the amount of labor involved and exactly matched the final bill. My MDX is all better now. Highly recommend Stinson Automotive.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

We have been using Stinson Automotive now for 12 years. Fabulous service, knowledgeable, and willing to educate you on your car. As a woman I feel super comfortable working with David (owner), and any of the other mechanics. They offer reasonable pricees and are not pushy, and are very honest about what should be done, and what can be completed in the future. No pressure approach. We have had our cars worked on there since 2005. Even though we have moved from NE Mpls still go here. Thank you Dave and LeAnne!!

Excellent service. The owner is very price conscious and only repairs what's necessary. You will airways receive an honest diagnosis. Great place to get tires,too.
