I have been going to Quality Coaches for years. With every repair, they tell me what they are doing, what it will cost, and why it costs that much. They do their best to save me money while still maintaining a high level of safety and quality. If there is a problem they're not equipped to handle, they refer me to another shop who can help. Their referrals are equally conscientious. This week, the hinges on my rear window went out. I called them in a bit of a panic, since they would have been closed by the time I was able to get there. They said that they would wait for me, and they did. They ordered the parts, which came the next day. The car was fixed within 24 hours.

I bought a Jeep Trailhawk from a dealer and the sunroof leaked after first car wash. The dealer said they have a company in cities that specialize in sunroofs and that they will take it there to get fixed. This shop is a joke!!! 3 weeks of keeping my jeep and 3 sunroofs later I got the jeep back to find out the sunroof still leaks, the headliner is covered in greasy hand prints all around the sunroof opening. And boot tracks everywhere.. They clearly don t care about the customer or know what they are doing.. On top of that they charged the dealership for the 3 sunroofs when clearly the tech didn t have a clue about sunroofs..Who does this?? I wouldn t trust this shop to fix my kids bike!!

Quality Coaches rebuilt two two barrel carburetors, repaired the wiring to the coil and rebuilt the brake cylinders on my 1940 Ford. The quality of work is exceptional and the customer service reminds me of the service I received many years ago, just incredible. Thanks Matt!It is no wonder that they are celebrating fifty years of restoring peoples dreams. Thank you Mark.CharlieServices: Electrical, Brakes

If only I had a garage big enough to fill with cars that Quality Coaches could restore. Mark and his team have been taking care of my MGs for the past 20 years. I wouldn t know where else to go.

Very disappointed, I scheduled an appointment way in advance with Quality Coaches in early summer 2022, to bring in my 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. They kept my car for several weeks and never finished the job. They were meant to upgrade the instrument panel and install the dashboard. To avoid any damages, I provided them specific instructions on how to install it. I specifically told them to remove the steering wheel and front seat when working under the dash. They called me weeks later to come pick up my car, and sure enough, the wipers button was disconnected. They also scratched up my freshly painted dash frame and left a large boot scuff mark on the inside of my door. They clearly did not follow my directions. The job appeared to have been rushed and thrown together in a hurry. After picking it up, I called twice and never received a response. I did get the opportunity to talk with the scheduler, who was rude and condescending. I have yet to hear back from them. Now this shop was recommended to me by one of their regular customers and I don't doubt that they are a good mechanic shop, but when it comes down to classic and fragile parts, this is not the place for you.

I got a flat tire outside of their building RIGHT as they were closing. Even though they were done for the day, they offered to move my car and get me new tires the next morning and the next day, it was done before lunch! Such king, efficient and affordable people. I was so, SO grateful!Service: TiresService: Tires

I so wanted to give them a rave review. But in good conscience I can t. Why I wanted to Mark, the owner, has done an admirable thing, create a thriving small business catering to classic car owners. He followed his passion and has been doing his thing now for 30 years. By all accounts he has a loyal and passionate customer base. And from what I saw he treats his workers well and employs good talent.I m embarrassed to say I own 7 classic cars, so was excited to bring my 61 sunbeam alpine in for some brake work, with plans to bring in the rest. Up front I should say that delays and cost overruns are more common when working on the oldies, and I m used to them. The estimate Mark gave me was $600. While on vacation about 3 weeks after dropping the car off 3 weeks without any communication - I got a call from Mark asking for an ASAP payment of $1500 due to more serious issues they d found. He said he didn t think the total would be much more than that, so I paid and they carried on. $1500 still seemed reasonable enough for brake repairs on a car like that. No communication until two days ago, over 6 weeks into the work, when Mark left me a message saying they d finished the original brake work and that he d started in on some unrequested electrical work.Turned out the total for the initial work was $3200, 5 times the original estimate! And with no communication in between other than to say it would be closer to $1500. Aside from that, starting in on unrequested work, whether I needed it or not, is just plain dishonest and a classic way of running up a bill since it put me in the position of being the bad guy and calling back asap to say what the heck, you gotta stop! It would be like if a lawyer you hired to set up a company for you then started drafting your will without asking because he thought you needed one. Plus after the initial 5x overrun, I couldn t trust the price he quoted me for the additional work.I patronize mechanics who know how to communicate and are up front about costs. In my experience, this place just isn t one of them, and that's a disappointment. So much of a mechanic s work the markup on parts and the amount of time they spend on labor is on the honor system since customer s have no way of verifying. Maybe I was just unlucky some review are the opposite of mine and 30 years in business is a testament to doing things right at least some of the time. As far as I can tell, the work that was done is good it just cost a barrel of gold. If Mark were providing a premium service at a premium price and was up front about that I wouldn t complain. But $3200 for brake work, even on a car like mine, is a lot. (He shaved off a bit when I got vocal about $100.) Plus the lack of communication about how much it would really be. The real deal killer for me was undertaking new work I didn t request without my ok.

I purchased a 1967 MGB and brought it to Mark and said, "make it perfect." He did! I had a list of 10 things that needed to be done, some of them major. He had them all done by the date he promised and even more impressive, he found stuff that he knew I would want done and he did them. Everyone at the shop was so kind and explained everything that was done. I can't imagine bringing my car to anyone else. Ethical, competent, trustworthy and reliable. Thanks Mark!

Local garage for all my carsI initially started going to Quality Coaches for work on a 57 MGA. While they are well known for working on classic British cars, they also work on all ages and makes of cars. I have them do all the routine maintenance on my Volvo as well. Quality Coaches cost less than taking it to a dealer, they do great work, and they are local for me.Being local probably saved me from a big repair. A few days ago I started my car and it was running rough, so I immediately drove over to Quality Coaches. While I normally schedule an appointment, in this case they immediately took my car keys and let me know that they would at least be able to give me a diagnosis that day. It turns out some mice had decided to nest in my timing chain and when I turned on the car, what was in the chain caused it to skip a few teeth. If I had driven far this would have likely caused far more serious damage. I must say I m glad to have a local garage that does good work for reasonable prices. My insurance company agrees, as I only had to pay the deductible. They sent an adjuster out to the shop to look at the damage and what needed to be done. Quality Coaches pricing was right in line and they had a check issued to me that day.I have been taking my cars to Quality Coaches for years and have always been extremely happy with the quality of the work, the customer service and the pricing. They always go a few steps beyond normal expectations. When I get an oil change they go over the car from front to back checking brake wear, tire wear, bushings, lights and many other smaller details. When I pick up the car they let me know what work was done and what may need to be done soon. I will continue to bring all my cars to Quality Coaches, no matter what car I have today or in the future.

Mark and his team do a great job and give you great information about your vehicle and it's needs. I have always found it difficult to find a good mechanic that I trust... Until I became a customer of Quality Coaches. Such a great small business to have in the community, I can't recommend them enough.

My friend was in town and needed a car repair before she could get back on the road. Rogelio and Mark came in on the weekend so she could get back on the road, the repair came in for $150 lower than the quote price, and they ordered an extra part on Friday they didn't charge for just in case there was more damage than they expected. They noticed she needed new tires and Nic spent time on the phone and texting us a list of tire places that were open on Saturday so she could get back on the road safely. I've never had such great customer service, and they went out of their way to explain everything along the way.

I have been using Quality Coaches for more than 15 years with all of my cars. Jeeps, BMW's and more. Steve and Mark have treated me professionally and always got to the source of any problem instantly. I found their rates to be more cost effective than others. As wide as their automotive talents are, if they didn't specialize in the problem/solution (specific car transmissions) they sent me to their recommended specialist, who again treated me fairly. They usually always had a loaner car on hand for me. These guys are great! I'll keep using them as long as I am around.Fred PielertThere should be more Quality around.

Asked the shop to cut the center of some rather rare wheels round so that I could get them balanced on a modern wheel balancer. Mark the owner hogged out the centers with a bur on a die grinder and charged me a $100 to almost ruin my wheels. If I didn't have access to a lathe and the know-how to use one to repair Mark's handiwork, the wheels would've been ruined.

Bought a car sight unseen on "bring a trailer" that Mark was selling for a customer. Car was described perfectly, he helped with shipping. Painless transaction, very friendly "post purchase", would definitely use their service again!

When I was 12-years old my dad walked in and said I got you a car kid. I ran outside and found a frame four tires and a lot of boxes. It was a 1964 MG and my dad and I worked restoring it for the next 4-years. Mark and the crew at Quality coaches were there helping me find us parts I was missing and sharing their expertise all the way. I'm 40 now and this review is long overdue (pre internet) but wanted to day thanks for everything. I cut my teeth learning how to rebuild a dual single barrel SU carb over spring break one year after ordering the kit from quality coaches.

Great place for parts and repairs on older cars. I've bought 2 MGs from them and they stock tons of parts for MGs and other classic cars like Triumphs and Austin Healeys. They work on all types of cars too. We've taken our Honda and our Ford there and received exceptional service. Very friendly staff and they have free coffee. Plus there are always lots of very interesting cars in the garage for service, you never know what you'll see while there.

We go to Quality Coaches exclusively with our two cars -- for everything from major repairs to new tires and oil changes. It only makes sense to stay local, and furthermore, Jes and her team know us and our cars personally. They're helpful, honest, friendly, and obviously know exactly what they're doing!

The reason I went to them is their loaner cars.Even though one of them stalled at red lights and another one didn't need me topush on it's gas pedal to go .Problems I've had:-Lost my phone number to tell me when car was done.-They did not know why fixes that they had made previously were still broken.-Multiple same type fixes.-Spendy and charged $3.50 to fill my washer fluid I didn't ask for on a four hundred and fifty dollar bill. Still bugs me.They kept my 20 plus year old car going I'll give them that, but I wouldn'tbe writing this review if the issues they fixed for me the last time had stayed fixed. It seems like most of the work was done half assed, Not all of it just most of it.They are probably better at restoring british race cars or working on unbroken cars. The last mechanics last words were, smiling, "I wonder why your engine still shakes like that." I said "I don't know" And I shook my head. Not wanting to explain that they fixed it the time before, or point out other obvious possibilities. He immediately said "good bye" and I was glad he could tell I didn't want to come back. Fair warning.

This was the must expensive oil change I paid in my whole life, you charge me $159.99 for labor to check things that you can check at the same time to change the oil, and you charge me $116.64 for parts and $15.68 for supplies , and the cherry in the cake was 3.5% credit card surcharge for pay with a credit card with out notice, your web site don t says anything about this charge, there in your place there aren t neither any add saying you would charge for pay with a credit card, I m totally unhappy with my experience with you, I would never get back and of course no recommend your service.
