My very reliable Lexus RX350 all of a sudden had warning lights - power steering went out and then died. Luckily, I was on a safe side street with time to pull over. I had been wanting to use Precision for many years as I am always reading reviews for a trustworthy backup to the dealership. In fact, I've read about them so much over the years that I did refer them to people because they have such good feedback - well earned. I was not far away when my cars power went out. I called Precision and spoke with Rob - here it is Christmas eve day and he talked through all my concerns and options and probabilities. I truly felt like he covered all concerns and I honestly felt like he treated me like family - my first time to call there.Rob talked to me about towing and I called my roadside service.He and his staff took excellent care of me and my car and helped communicate with me all options for repairs after getting a first look. They kept my car till after Christmas and had stayed late to work on it and secure it into their garage which required a battery change to drive it.I am very grateful. Any questions I had were answered - he is very kind, caring and trustworthy. A bad situation right at this holiday time was smoothed over thanks to Precision Auto! He made the effort seem easy and it sure helped me out.When I went to pick up and saw under the hood - Jay, his mechanic, was helping me with the new battery and I noticed right way when he opened the hood that Precision had bothered to replace ALL of the little black caps that hold the engine cover in place. Over the years they have disappeared after maintenance but Jay bothered to replace them. I know for a fact that I only had about 2 in there when I brought it in. I left with every single one secured - probably about 12. That is so appreciated and says a lot about how they care for you and your car. They care and they are confident in repairs!I appreciate them very much.

I had the best experience with Precision Tune AutoCare. They took care in finding out exactly what was wrong and Rob kept me in the loop during the process. I needed my upper and lower gaskets replaced along with a new battery. My car hasn t run this smoothly in years. They have gained a new customer and I highly recommend them.

Can't say enough good things about this place. I've trusted them with every type of car I've owned over the last decade. From an old Dodge Neon to an Audi RS5, every car has been serviced with the appropriate amount of care. They never go overboard and never skimp out. Love this shop!

Rob and the guys here are the best. Rob is great at giving an honest assessment of what is wrong with our car and then fixing it in a cost effective way. What I like about Rob is that he is very personable, he explains car issues in an understandable way, and is respectful and nice to everyone who comes in. I appreciate how honest he is telling people what they need, why they need it and, most importantly, what they don't need. This is why we have trusted Rob with our cars for the past 12 years. If you are looking for a place for your own car, or if you are far away and looking for a trustworthy place to send your college kid to get their car fixed, send them to Rob.

They left the fuel fill hose detached after replacing the fuel pump for $640. Found out once I got to the gas station to fill up. I fixed it myself and called it a day. Hard to find good help these days.

I don't do 5 stars very often, but this place deserves it. The shop has a small footprint, but is well maintained , and they do a lot of volume through their doors.....they can do anything from tires and oil changes to engine replacements. Talk to Rob the manager, he knows his stuff, and is great to work with.....he won't recommend anything that you don't need, and the rates are reasonable. the repair techs know their stuff too. Like Rob, most of their employees have been there a long time. (great retention). The repairs are always spot on. They have a loyal clientele base, because they are fair, honest, and you can trust them. The owner has at least 3 locations and hires good people and treats them well.....once you try them, it will be hard to go back to other shops! Just don't too many of you try them, I don't want to wait six months to get my car in!

--voluntary and unsolicited review--My car - '08 Honda Civic w/ 172k milesQuality work and customer service are the reasons why I continue to have my car serviced at this particular shop.There have been several times where Rob (the shop manager) and staff delivered exceptional service.Most recent example was on 9/7/2018 when I called the shop around 5pm because I had the brake light appear on my dash even though I did not have my e-brake on. Over the phone Rob shared his diagnostic that my brake fluid may be low and that I should come by and add some.Upon arrival at 5:14pm (closing time is as 5:30pm) I was greeted by Rob and he sprung into action by topping off my brake fluid. I also asked him about my brake lights that were out. One of the mechanics, Jay replaced them. At the end when I went to pay Rob said it was complimentary. Not sure whether it was that I have been a repeat customer and had larger work done before or not.Talk about going above and beyond customer service. I would recommend this shop to others.PS - they offer 2 yr/24,000 mile warranty on their work.

This is by far the best place I have ever gotten car maintenance. They are kind, honest, and thorough at providing service to their consumers. Once I went to a dealer and they quoted me at 1000$ to fix the wiring in my vehicle. For some reason, I walked into this place and they charged me 200ish$ to fix my car. They have been a blessing for 6 years now and I honestly don't care about going anywhere else.

I started bringing my car to Precision Tune because of my wife's recommendation. It has been a great experience. Rob, the shop manager, gives honest advice regarding repairs, is professional and a very easy to talk to. They are willing to work with their customers and do good work at fair prices. I am not surprised at their high google review rating. They are Simply Great!

I am already recommending this place to people I know. The other reviews left for this place do it justice. I always talked with Rob over the phone who was super friendly and got me the right information I needed: replacing the brake pads and rotors. They were able to get me in the next day, but since I work out of the Twin Cities area, it was great that I could both drop-off and pick-up my vehicle at their place after hours. Could not have been easier. During the process, Rob was even quite diligent about getting a hold of me and making sure I was up to date on the repair. Wonderful place, it makes me feel good about needing to go to a mechanic.

These guys are so great, I've been bringing my car only to them for 10 years! They are honest, very friendly and really get to know their customers. They do great repairs at very fair costs. They never oversell. Very trustworthy group! Thanks to Rob and the guys.

This shop was recommended to me by a friend. I've used it for several years now even though there are many shops closer to me. They are always bending over backwards to help me out. Really solid people. Also they are consistently cheaper than most other places (yeah I'm talking about you Bobby and Steve's). Cannot recommend enough. I would take my vehicle to any of their shops. I have been going to Precision Tune off France Avenue for over three years now. I feel very lucky to have found them. At other auto shops, I have had instances where unnecessary products and services were pushed on me. At Precision Tune off France, I have only found them to be extremely honest and helpful on whether or not a recommended service is REALLY necessary. I am able to do many smallmaintenance things myself, and they don't seem to mind when I say so. Rob, the manager, is a very kind man. He takes extremely good care of his customers. All the technicians there are very patient. Especially, when I go there with a specific noise in my engine that (of course!) we cannot reproduce while I am there...:) They always encourage me to come back when it does.I would not hesitate to recommend this store to anyone.

All of these awesome reviews don't lie! I am a new and dedicated customer at Precision Auto because these reviews brought me there, and because of the first service experience that I had there. Rob and his great crew of auto techs are just awesome. I took my my commuter car there with concerns of a possible bad tie rod, and also a power steering sound. Ended up being a tie rod and bad water pump. I didn't have that "I'm being scammed" feeling one bit. The repairs weren't crazy expensive and have held up just fine ever since. I am very pleased.This is a busy shop, and it can take a few days to get your car in, but this is a really good thing. A busy, thriving business is the result quality work and trustworthiness. People keep coming back and I am now one of them!While I was waiting outside for Rob (the service manager) to finish with another customer, I could clearly here the techs talking as they worked. They all sounded happy and respectful. It sounded like morale was high. This is a big deal for me. Happy workers do quality work. Also, I didn't hear one word that, as a parent, would cause me to cover my daughter's ears. A respectable, friendly crew!I'm fully convinced that this is a repair facility to grow old with!

The best place I have gone to so far. They were honest with me about my rat bitten wires on my 2001 Toyota Prius. They fixed it up quickly and well. They didn't overcharge me like the dealer was trying to. I am so happy to have found such a great place. I will continue to come back because I trust they will do as they say because they have proven it. I have been driving for 2 years now and I have no wiring problem.

Honest, fair prices. Knowledgeable, friendly staff tells you what's up and when it'll matter. I've gotten 3 oil changes and my wheel bearings fixed here, and the chat with me about my car's history and care, pros/cons of the model, typical repairs they do, etc, and include not only future repair suggestions, but also estimates.

I stopped in today after booking an appointment online through the very easy online booking program.I recently moved to the saint Louis Park/ Edina area and thought I'd give these folks a try after reading the other reviews. There was a shimmy in my steering and I was concerned about both a rattle, and the brakes on my 2012 Nissan Versa.It's always a little intimidating for me to take cars into a shop without knowing what needs to be done.Bill, who greeted me was friendly helpful and engaging. It was clearly a busy day in their small shop but he made me feel welcome and communicated the fact there might be a delay, but also recognized that my time was valuable. Even though the time ran a little long, when Rob called me he was extremely helpful talking through what was necessary and what was recommended in my situation. I never felt any pressure for extra service or repairs....I appreciated that he gave me several options for solving my issues....and his general demeanor on what could have been a stressful workday made me certain that I will return for future car care needs.Thank you to the France Ave Precision Tune Team. Rob and his team are honest, affordable, and of the highest quality. They don t push non-essential repairs. We ve been going here for years for everything car-related: tires, oil change, major repairs, new wipers and lights. Literally the best service imaginable. They were recommended to us, and now we recommend them to everyone we know.

These guys rule. Super honest, professional, and they'll meet you on your level without being condescending. They converted me a couple years ago when they called me at work to tell me that 0% of the repairs I had requested (on the advice of another mechanic) were really necessary. Many more good stories. I have sent all my friends here.

This is the only place I like to get work done on my vehicles. The manager (Rob) is always helpful, accommodating, and does his best to explain the different services recommended or required. I've never had an issue on any work completed here from oil changes, to fluid flushes, or miscellaneous engine repairs.Highly recommended in every regard!

I really love this P Tune. I usually speak with Rob or Will when calling or checking in/out, so I don't know the mechanics but I feel I can trust them, because a few times in the past, I've come in with my car and complained of funny noises. They diagnosed the issue, and then mentioned an additional issue they said was not necessary to fix right now but I should keep watch on it. I really appreciate that they don't try to influence me into getting things fixed that don't really need it at that time. I believe their strong reputation and thriving shop is due to their honesty with customers, and their refusal to do what many other shops do: try to generate as much business as possible with every car owner that comes in. My P Tune guys would never do that, and I recommend them highly whenever talking with anyone about car repair. I've taken all my cars there for almost 10 years, and my mom even switched to P Tune once she saw what great maintenance/repair experiences I've consistently had with them. They rock!!

I would never take my car anywhere else. From standard oil changes to major auto-body repair Rob is the only person I trust. He is honest, friendly, and very good at explaining damages and repairs. Thank you for all that do you!

Can't say enough good things about this place. They were able to diagnose and fix a problem with my car last year that several other places couldn't. I've brought both my cars to the France Avenue Precision Tune for a decade and a half. The owner Tim and his front end manager Rob have always been excellent to work with when problems or repairs are needed. Most recently, I lost my car keys and FOBs and was in a panic. But Tim and Rob handled the entire problem with the utmost professionalism and expertise.

I was helped immediately when I pulled in and didn t have to wait for even 5 minutes to get service provided for. Thanks again Bill for your great help and attentiveness to the issue going on with my Jeep. Definitely will drive an extra 15-20 min to go to this location in the future.

I m not one to write reviews, but if there was a sixth star I d give it to them for sure. Not once have I had a bad experience with P Tune and am even hesitant to write this review because I don t want other people to find out about this place and how great it is. I can guarantee you they ll be honest, timely, and get the job done right the first time, (unlike many other places I ve dealt with in the past.) I ve gone here many times and have never been the slightest bit disappointed, Rob is the G.O.A.T. Highly recommend.

Rob and his staff are always friendly, helpful, and honest. Every time there are recommended repairs, Rob will talk about which ones are critical, and will tell me which ones can be put off for a few months. Since we found Rob, our cars don't go anywhere else.

Love the guys at Precision. They are professional and reasonable, and I feel like they really care about their business and your car. Would trust them with any auto work I need and am happy to have them in the neighborhood!
