I have nothing but positive things to say about this place - every experience was efficient and well priced. In particular, the most recent visit I needed two lights changed. I came in expecting to leave my car through the weekend but it was fixed while I waited, out of the goodness of their heart. I have a baby who only naps in the car so having a car out of commission is a stressful event. I am so grateful for their effort and care - this family business is a true gem!

Before this I was looking for a shop to take my car into. First shop quoted me 2,600 off the bat and most was maintenance. Northwestern offered a great rate and higher quality service all around. Great service and availability. The team in there is always calling to inform you on different things and they also give you quotes at a reasonable rate. I finally found a shop that I felt confident in and trusted.

I Should have left a review years ago! If you're looking for affordable and trustworthy work, then you found it. They know me by name and and the place feels like an old school neighborhood shop. I'm constantly referring friends. They go the extra mile, stand by their work, and the dog is so sweet.

Northwestern tire did a great job fixing my brakes and changing my oil. They are easy to work with and have fair pricing.

These guys are hands down the best in the biz. I've been to a lot of auto shops, but I'll never go anywhere else as long as I'm in Minneapolis. Great customer service, fair and honest pricing, and they don't nickel and dime you like other places. I tell everyone about Northwestern Tire Co. This is also my first google review, so that is saying something!

I' been going there which seems forever. I always get got when I go anywhere else.but these guys are a sigh of relief. I also refer folks to them there our family car doctors. Love yall ,Mike and the Crew

I don't take my car anywhere else!Mike and the team are so kind, smart, experienced, and helpful. They are so focused on the customer you immediately feel like family. They always explain my options, educate me on what each of them look like and would be priced at, and then let me decide the route I want to take. They're never pushy, never condescending or rush me, and consistently focus on *helping*. I trust them to the moon and back!

Hands down the best mechanic shop! When we moved to the neighborhood I brought my car here because it was the closest option, little did I know they would be the best. Justin and Mike are awesome, and everyone else I've interacted with there has been knowledgeable and friendly. They found some issues with one of our cars and informed us they were under recall. They didn't charge us a penny, and even recommended a good dealership where everything was fixed for free. Every time we bring our cars here (we drive older cars), the problem is fixed the first time, for a reasonable price, and quickly. I have had few positive experiences with mechanics in the past. These people are great, I cannot recommend them enough.

Two excellent experiences here. One last year for my tires (getting them patched) and the other today for my transmission. The service is great, the team communicates exactly what they've done and what they're doing in easy to understand terms. As long as I live in the neighborhood, I'll be coming here.

Northwest Tire are the mechanics I trust in the twin cities. They get the job done right, usually done fast, and done for a fair price. There were opportunities they could have upsold me on services that weren't worth it but they were always honest and would tell me when something wasn't worth the money and effort. Great crew to work with.

This is just a great place of business. All my many experiences there have been positive. They are thoughtful about providing value to their customers. Example: I brought my old 2001 Mazda Protege in many times, and finally after I had it for 15 years, the mechanic said, "Don't put any more money into this car. It has too many problems. Junk it or donate it. If you buy another car, bring it in and we'll do an inspection. " I did so. I just got another used car and they did an inspection and found a problem with cracks in the serpentine belt. I brought it back to the dealership and they replaced it for free. You can be sure I will be bringing my "new" car to Northwestern for maintenance and repair.

I went in because of a nail in my tire. Everyone there was friendly and efficient. They did not try to sell me on a new tire or set of tires. They were honest and kind. I observed interactions with a variety of customers while waiting the short time it took to patch my tire and was impressed with the friendliness and general good will. I will definitely go back.

These guys are the best mechanics I've had in the Twin Cities. Very helpful, very honest, friendly staff who took care of me and my car multiple times. They go above and beyond communicating with customers on what they need to do before they do it and keep you informed.

Excellent service with an A+. I was willing to sit and wait for them to fix my tire and they got me in early and made it to work. The man that helped me let me sit in his truck to keep warm instead of standing in the cold waiting since the lobby was closed to the public due to COVID, thank you so much for that, I really appreciate it. I will definitely come back and refer to this place.

I've been going here for years now and every single time they take care of me and my car! I refer them to everyone who asks about where I take my car for maintenance or repairs. They're extremely kind and accommodating as well as super knowledgeable and honest about the work they do. :)

Fast work, great customer service. Called before they even opened due to a flat trailer tire- was able to get a new tire mounted & balanced right away without affecting my work day. Thanks guys!

About 3 months ago, I bought a used van. The other day, the "Service Required" light on my control panel came on. I made an appointment with NW Tire, bracing for the worst. A few hours after dropping my van off, I got a call that it just needed an oil change! Sweet! They could have said just about anything, charged me whatever, and I would've been none the wiser.

When you have to fix your car, there isn't another place that will make you feel better about where you spent your money. Their service work is great, their prices are fair and you'll like working with them. They're great at prioritizing the repairs that need to be done.

I moved to St. Paul recently but will still try and do business with Northwestern as much as I can. Very courteous and honest workers. I have never felt pressured to do any additional services. Quick and reliable work. I started coming here because the Firestone on 11th & Hawthorne scammed me out of thousands of dollars with services after services that actually never even addressed the root problem my previous vehicle had. A little bit further from downtown, but a nice walk or quick bus ride away using the 9 Route which has a bus stop across the street. Please give these guys your business, they're excellent and affordable!

I had to go here on a whim, as my brakes went out and they were the closest- I will be going here from now on for whatever I need!The service was amazing, they were very friendly and extremely honest! I always worry when going to a new mechanic that I will go in for a $90 repair and end up paying $400 - BUT, they did as they promised and were very very reasonably priced and my car runs like a dream! I would highly recommend them to anyone!!

Wow. Customer service is just on-point at Northwestern Tire Co.To say I was overdue for a tire rotation is an understatement, but I finally decided to adult like a champ today, and I brought the Jeep in to get the tires rotated.I called a few other places in and around the downtown area - one place told me they needed my car all day. Ok, I'm a girl, but I know a little bit about cars. A tire rotation takes an hour... not 8. Another place wanted to charge way too much $$$.This place? Fast and affordable. I dropped my Jeep off around 8:15 this morning, and I got a call before 9 letting me know that she was all done! Drives like a champ.The staff is friendly, and honest, and I would absolutely go here again for basic car maintenance needs.
