My work truck needed a complete overhaul! Rebuilt engine and transmission. I trusted John and Northside Auto with the task. It was done to perfection! All of the little things like a new fuse box/computer to a new anti-freeze reservoir. Everything was tight, clean and guaranteed! Customer for Life!

Got recall work done at a dealership and they told us we needed repairs and service work adding up to $2500-3000!!Got a second opinion on all items at Northside Auto and did needed repairs for less than $200 and confirmed other items can wait until necessary.Fair pricing and honest work at Northside Auto!

Battery died about a year ago, Northside replaced it quickly at a fair price. Battery failed again a year later, Northside replaced it free of charge. It's good to know there's at least one local auto mechanic that stands by their work.

The best. John is very knowledgeable and helpful. Been my mechanic for years, anything I ever brought in to get fixed it worked well after that I never had to bring it back for the same things that are you experience with other mechanics... And he's just a good guy. Mechanics are hit or miss and I got lucky sometimes people think the charges a little more I tell you what it is absolutely worth it.

Like this man John, he's very reasonable, and works with ya to get the best job at the best time line done for ya. He's been on this corner 40+ years and knows the business. How shop and office are immaculate and welcoming. I recommend John for all your auto service needs

I had a good experience at Northside Auto. I had my radiator replaced, the price was fair and it was completed fast. They also offered an oil change when they noticed my service light come on which was helpful. I will be back if I need any other work done in the future.

Great work, reasonable rates. I have 2 older cars and John has been honest, straight forward and consistent with his diagnostic and quality of work. He has made adjustments to suit my needs and has stood by his work without any issues. As a small business owner I appreciate that he cares about his work and satisfying the needs of his clients. I can t say enough great things about John at Northside Auto. It s so great having him in the neighborhood - he s honest, quick, and reliable. I know I can get service within a day or two of when I need it at a very affordable price. His shop is the cleanest auto repair shop I ve ever seen!!! I m so thankful to have found Northside Auto to keep my old car running!

Honest diagnosis, fair pricing, and quick work! I've taken my older Jeep Liberty to John twice now for different issues and he has never talked down to me (as a younger female, I've had this issue with mechanics in the past) and has had the work done and my Jeep back to me quickly each time. It is nice to have someone I feel that I can trust, since I moved here from out of state.

I ve brought my car here three times. Every time, I dropped it off in the morning and it was done by the afternoon. Quick service. No need to wait for an appointment. But every time I brought my car here, within a month something major breaks and I need another huge and expensive repair. This happens once, that sucks. Twice, horrible coincidence. Three times though? I m never going back here again.

Cheaper than 3 nearby shops I received quotes from. I have used John's services twice now. Both times I was able to get in and out same day. I was really impressed. I was charged exactly what I was quoted. Very pleasant experience.

Paid this man something on the order of $165 to diagnose why my car was randomly not starting.He told me I needed a new fuel pump, then quoted a massive price for the fix. It was not the fuel pump, I later found out it was my ignition switch, replaced that and went back and showed him the damaged part. He asked "So did you change the fuel pump?" I informed him that I did not, I never did replace the pump in that car, never had a problem after I replaced the faulty switch.When I confronted him on this he refused to do anything about it or return any of my money...I went back once after hoping that maybe he make it right when I was coming in to give him more money, but nope, he just wants to ignore the fact that he was dead wrong, and is perfectly happy stealing money from a customer giving them nothing in return.This is one of those mechanics that give mechanics a bad reputationThere is a MUCH nicer shop, with more honest people and more reasonable prices a few blocks north of this place

Moved into the area a few years ago. Wanted to find a shop I can develop a relationship with. Tried Northside Auto Repair because it was a quiet, quaint little shop with a small crew. I don't have anything bad to say so I'll just leave facts and you can come to your own conclusions. 1 wheel brake job + 2(?) rotors = $425. Needless to say I moved on.Why now am I leaving a review?:A mechanic friend of mine told me that this day and age the market pretty much weeds itself out with reviews. Got me thinking...I'm doing a disservice by not reviewing. Especially since the majority of customers who do write reviews don't know enough to write a meaningful review instead of writing how their day went on that particular day lol. And, I've since become more familiar with cars, especially a cake job like brakes and rotors. Let's just say I can now do that same job I was charged for in about 30 minutes with PREMIUM products for $150. Basic products will run under $100. I will say that most places will charge you upwards of $300 for the same job. That's why I learned basic maintenance.That's all, take it or leave it.

Really happy with my experience here. Called in the morning to see if I could drop my car off for a few hours in the afternoon to get a fuel filter replaced. It was done really quickly, and the price was really reasonable.

Knowing that I am inexperienced with cars, he said he d replace my idler pulley for $340 - an absurdly exorbitant amount given online estimates. A nearby autoshop replaced my pulley for literally less than half of that. Shamefully exploitative.

I need a simple brake pads replacement and called for a quote. JOHN or the owner proceeded to tell me a ridiculous price then hung up on my face when I asked how many hours it will take.and needed more questions answered ..I called back and he ignored me 5 times...far as I can tell customer service doesn't exist at this place

I go to Northside Auto for all my repairs,John is friendly, knowledgeably and fair. He's not pushy, like so many mechanics can be.I highly recommend Northside Auto.

Honest and quick. Sure my car problem was minor, but the problem was quickly resolved and the price for it was more than fair. Would go to for my future car needs.
