I am so glad to have found John and the staff at Lowry Repair Center. We recently moved to Minneapolis and I've had trouble finding a reliable mechanic I can trust. John was very straightforward and honest about what needed fixing on my car, took the time to answer ALL my questions and had it done on the timeline he laid out from the start. I will DEFINITELY be coming to John from now on and will be recommending him to all my friends looking for a great mechanic in NE Minneapolis.

It s very hard to find a good mechanic, let alone someone you can trust. John at Lowry Repair is honest, personable and knowledgeable. They are accommodating and accept walk ins. I usually drop my car off and will get a call in a timely manner to discuss in detail whats going on with my car. He even brought me into the shop and showed me what needed to be repaired underneath my car. Also checks for additional things as well. Id highly recommend this place with your car maintence needs. Also fairly priced, and everything is discussed with you so there is no surprise charges.

We first discovered Lowry Repair after one of the big shops charged us a lot of money to make repairs that didn t fix our car. They gave us a very reasonable estimate, did the fix and kept it on the road for several more years. We are driving a newer vehicle these days, and I would not trust it with any other shop. They continue to be fair, honest, and downright good at what they do. And they have a sense of humor!

10/10 would recommend! I talked to the owner and his son and they were very accommodating and got me in last second on a Friday. Very nice folks, and I personally will be going back to them with any auto needs. I definitely recommend giving them your business! Thanks guys!!

Jeff, John and Nick kept my beloved 2004 cobalt blue Subaru Forester going well up into 200k miles. They charge a fair price, do beautiful work and keep me safely on the road. They are respectful and just darn nice people. I now have an updated Forester, and they are still my trusted people for repair and maintenance.

Hi, I brought in an old Lexus that needed a heater core, and it was done in a timely and professional manner. The price was reasonable and up front. I came back a couple weeks later because I couldn't get the hood closed for some reason. One of the techs at Lowry Repair showed me how to get the hood closed, saving me some time and trouble. Thanks Lowry Repair for all you do!

Stopped in just now as I had a low tire indicator that my dealership had failed to address on a routine maintenance recently. John s Lowry is around the corner from my house so I stopped in, hoping not to have to drive 30 mins to the dealer again. Before I stopped I called, they answered right away and said come by and they will address it right away. They did that, friendly, promptly, and in the end didn t charge me anything for it. I ve been here before with another (much crappier) car and they never tried to sell me anything I didn t need, and even told me not to put more work into it once the vehicle had run its course. I definitely recommend to my friends and family.

John and Jeff are great! They were extremely helpful and explained everything so I could have a better understanding of my car. They were both honest about what would need to go into the fix so there were no surprises with the final charge. Will definitely be back!

I've been using Lowry Repair for years. John and Jeff are the best! They take the time to explain what the issue is and then promptly fix it. Very knowledgeable, trustworthy and super nice. I won't go anywhere else!

I went in for an oil change and the mechanics noticed my radiator was leaking and they showed me where and explained that it needed to be replaced. Jeff showed me where the leak was. John, Jeff and Nick are honest and they are the go to place to have any work done on your vehicle. HIGHLY RECOMMEND very professional.

I ve been a satisfied customer at Lowry Repair on Central Avenue in NE Minneapolis for about fifteen years. I like it that they are an independent auto repair shop and family run. What brings me back is that they re honest and upfront about the repairs I need and then are highly competent with the repairs I decide to go forward with. I plan to stay with them as long as I drive.

Called to ask about having my brake pads and rotors replaced, and they were the most affordable option in the area AND were able to get me in within the same week. Staff was super friendly and efficient, and they didn't try to upsell me on anything I didn't need. Will definitely be back here when I need work done in the future!

great service. i emailed them for a quote at 10pm, had a call by 7:30am and car fixed by 4pm. super nice guys! i know zero about cars but they were very helpful, nice & gave me a great price. i ve never been here before but will absolutely return for any car needs!

I went in for an oil change and the mechanics noticed my transmission line was leaking and they showed me where and explained what could happen if not replaced. So I asked if they could fix it now with my oil change. They said they could. So John jumped in his truck to go get the part while Nick took out the defective transmission line. I was in and out of there in 2 HRS. (Thanks again Nick for staying late and finishing the job) HIGHLY RECOMMEND very professional. Show Less
