Hayford Auto is awesome! It is my neighborhood shop and I love going there. Ajmal is always very kind and willing to explain what is going on with my car and answer my many questions. Everyone there is very friendly and I really trust them all. As a new-ish car owner, it feels great to have found a local shop I trust. They are also super prompt - I have never had to leave my car with them for more than a day. I can't reccomend this place enough, so grateful they are in the neighborhood!

I absolutely LOVE Hayford Auto Repair! My dad has brought his cars here for YEARS and he is now 80 years young! The owner Sam has always been very fair and helpful which is wonderful.Ashmal is my FAVORITE mechanic. This man knows his ISH. I receive constant compliments on how well my car runs and I believe it's because of him.He has fixed my car NUMEROUS times without fail and has been a huge blessing to us.... he's like family at this point....Ashmal has worked miracles on my 04' Toyota Solara and I don't trust anyone else to work on my vehicle except him. What I love is that he has NEVER taken advantage of me as a woman needing auto repairs and that speaks volumes as to his integrity. He has a warm personality and is extremely professional above all else.I am so thankful for Hayford Auto Repair. I pray God continue to Bless this amazing company!

Hayford Auto goes above and beyond with car care and customer service! I called after business hours fully expecting the line to go through to voicemail, but was kindly greeted by the owner, who patiently heard my car problems and offered me to bring my car in the next day. I brought it in, and was called within a couple hours with a diagnosis and estimate for the repairs, which would be finished the next day. The helpfulness and kindness of this South Minneapolis family owned business cannot be overstated. I will certainly bring my car back to Hayford!

My car was making a disconcerting noise and a friend recommended this place to me, so I called and found that the diagnostic fee was reasonable and they were able to look at my car the same day. They also fixed it the same day, making my AC system blow out cool air and the speed dial register to work and not make that weird noise - very pleased with the quality, timeliness, affordability, and the result. The best way I can describe the owner is not just a car mechanic but a car doctor who really knows what he's doing.

Very fair price and quick repair on a transmission replacement. Plus every other time I ve been in for smaller repairs, they ve been very helpful. They have integrity. Would recommend them to anyone

Had my winter tires put on and balanced. They did an excellent job, same day service!Update: Have since gone back to deal with a starting issue (during that terribly cold week this winter), and an oil change. They were able to diagnose the battery issue very quickly, and have not had any issues since.Honest assessments, quality work, reasonable prices, and very fast service. Hayford Auto's owner and his team do a fantastic job. They are courteous, reliable, affordable, and quick. Based on the services they've done for my car (three+ visits), I would recommend this shop ten times out of ten over other chain, and local, auto shops. The employees and owners of this shop are by far the most honest people in the business. They actually care about their customers beyond a transactional interaction. They work diligently and with the utmost integrity. Good clear communication with details of each job they do. Alex was the gentleman that worked on my car and he was very thorough and quick. I m very thankful businesses like this still exist

This place is great! They offer highly competent mechanics and quality/timely service. They diagnosed the "bump" in my front end quickly and professionally. I needed to have a tie rod replaced in October of 2019, and Hayford did what was needed, and only what was needed, to get me back on the road safely. Since tie rods are a potentially big safety issue, they also squeezed me in to their already tight schedule on the same day I brought in the car. Thanks guys! My car continues to operate well.

Super kind folks, got my car in an out in a few hours (an issue with the tailight), charged fairly, AND explained to me exactly what was wrong and what they did to fix it. Highly recommend!

I brought my Subaru here twice, once for an Axel change and the other to replace my rack and pinionI am on a super tight budget, and called around to a bunch of places to get quotes. Hayford was always the lowest price. They were also reliable and did a good job.I never write reviews but I had to for these guys, its a good place to know and I am recommending them to friends and family

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Plus, the ride to the shop was appreciated. You provide good work at a fair price. My BMW broke down in the evening but my family was back on the road the next day because of your quick service. Thanks!

Best in the Twin Cities!I trust my cars with no one else. They are more than fair, and they are the most honest car mechanics I've ever met. They get the work done right and back on the road fast. Always personable and let you know exactly what they are doing, why, and if the fix really needs immediate attention. They are in the business of helping their community.Huge thank you to these guys.

I've been taking different cars here with Sam, Haji and now the new owners. All have been honest, helpful, fast and respectful--they have explained options clearly and accommodated for fast repairs. Today was no exception--had a new starter installed quickly without an appointment at a very reasonable price. I'll continue to go to Hayford whenever possible.

They do really good work, are very friendly, fully explain the work that needs to be done, and do it all at a reasonable price. I have used them multiple times for a few years now, and I always go back because they have been reliable, fair, and always get the work done quickly. I ve had 2 GREAT experience there. One time I couldn t start my car before a job interview... they replaced the alternator and had me on the road fast enough that I made my interview on time! Then my girlfriend needed new tires and they replaced the same day we called and for a v reasonable price. I recommend to anyone in the area!

I've been to several shops in the metro, and this is the best I've been to. The shop itself doesn't look pristine, but the guys there work extremely hard to make sure their customers are satisfied. Haji and Jon were especially helpful. In one instance, they quoted me a very competitive price ($600 less than another shop) and once they started the repairs they found an alternative solution that saved me even more ($900 less than two other shops)! They've proved consistently that they have my best interest in mind, and their 1 year warranty guarantees they do quality work. Highly recommend these guys!

Great little shop.My Alternator died on me on my way to work.Had to push it 4 blocks and had to wait an hour before it could run. Drove it over to Hayford Auto Repair was able to get it into the lot before it died again.When they opened they were able to get it in and see what was wrong with it while I went to work.Called me not too long my after with a price of the parts and labor that was very reasonable, and was even able to tack on a much needed oil change without much notice to them.Was able to pick it up after work and it runs like a dream!Thanks Hayford Auto!

Service was ok. Price for oil change was good. None of the technicians were wearing masks even with Covid-19 surge happening locally. I had to call them multiple times to see if the car was ready for pick up. They didn't update on what they did to the car until I came to pick it up. Also, was rushing me to get the car because they were ready to close even though would have picked it up way earlier had I know it was ready. Not as warm and friendly as mentioned in other posts. Did explain which type of oil would be best for the car.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

We hadn't been back to Hayford since it was sold, but we needed some work done due to a check engine light and we came in to check it out. The staff was friendly, knowledgable and flexible. They did the work in short order and when we looked at the receipt we noticed they replaced the crankshaft sensor and not the camshaft sensor. We called them immediately and they were very kind and wanted to stand by their work. They came in on Saturday morning and reached out to dealerships to get the appropriate part so we could get back on the road by Saturday evening! They didn't charge us extra, were truly apologetic about the mistake and worked hard to make it sure it was rectified. So thankful to have such an honest, hard-working and genuine business and neighbor. We will be regular customers!

I've been going to Hayford Auto for 3+ years and they have always done a great job at a great price! Knowledgeable guys with great customer service. Always know they're not going to up sell anything. Very trustworthy and friendly. Highly recommend them!

I had an issue with my car, brought it in shortly before close, and the owner and one of the mechanics got me in, checked it out, and advised me of options. They were super friendly, very accommodating, and didn't try to sell me on anything. I will definitely come back when next I need service.

Hayford Auto Repair provides the best auto repair service in town. Pasha and Ajmer are knowledgeable, honest, and professional mechanics. They identified the problem with my truck (a failing AC compressor) and made the time to find a used part and replace it all in the same day! I highly recommend Hayford Auto. My truck runs better than ever before after being serviced by the mechanics at Hayford Auto.

These guys are always willing to help, especially on short notice. They do good work and for fair prices. They always do the leg work to try to save some money, while doing the job right. I bring our cars here for everything!
