Honestly had a bad experience with Flannerys. I had to do a bulk of the research finding a part to fix my vehicle. I even ordered the part they recommended, only for it to be the wrong size. The whole process was frustrating. I brought it to Alexander s import and they actually helped and fixed my vehicle. I will be going there from now on.

Never again, took my car in, they said they fixed it, didn't even get it home, and had to turn around and take it back. Waited two weeks for a part, and now it's been two months, and they are still sitting on it. Said they got busy, so couldn't get to it. Was told "next week" twice, and even a "tomorrow", last week. Still isn't done. Very unprofessional. They used to be ok, but not anymore.

Due to an injury, I couldn't finish installing new gears into my 2007 Wrangler. I reached out to Flannery's and they said they could finish the job for me. What they charged seemed more than fair. The work was completed quickly. I was very happy with the result. I would definitely recommend them!

My car battery died a half a block from Flanery Brothers automotive. The parking lot had more than 10 cars in it, I counted. I walked in and was greeted right away and when I shared my dilemma, the staff willingly offered me their mobile jumper cables and informed me on how to use them just in case I didn't know. As I was looking for something to give to them for collateral, he simply just walked away trusting that I would bring them back. I was very touched by the assumption of good from me. You can tell they are truly about being a service to the neighborhood. When I returned his jumper cables, he didn't seek to charge me for using it and was very happy to know that it worked out for me.This is the kind of character and integrity that restores humanity but also allows customers to trust in automotive service repair companies! If I am ever back in this area and need repair services, there's no denying who I will come to! From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much! And I will also buy that same mobile jumper pack! Lol

These guys are great! I went at the recommendation of another body shop that was too backed up, and they did not disappoint! Even though they were extra busy after the snowstorm last week, they still kept my appointment, and did the work at a very reasonable rate. Everyone in the shop was very friendly and accommodating, too!

Flanery's was recommended to me after another shop informed me that our 2012 Honda was unrepairable and needed a new engine. Flanery's took a couple of days looking at the van and fixed the issue. Total bill was a bit over $500 which was much cheaper than a new van! Brian was transparent and honest with the diagnosis and remedy. I have just moved to the Seward neighborhood when my car needed repair. I was looking for a place that was close to me as I needed a tow. Someone at Auto Zone suggested Flanery's.So glad they did.They are a very busy place, which is a good thing. Lots of people must trust them with their vehicles! They were friendly and got to my car fairly quickly. Prices are comparable to other places too.I plan to come back to them for the rest of my automotive needs .Thanks guys!!

Flanery Brothers Automotive is who I decided to try out back in 2016 and I have never been disappointed in their work or the prices they quote. They are good people and do really quality work. They got me in same day, fixed my tire (air compressor at speedway had snapped my valve in two, venting all the air) and sent me on my way. What you ask from a mechanic is quick, safe service. And they delivered.

Flanery Brothers Automotive consistently gets the best reviews from their customers in South Minneapolis. They helped me solve a problem today and lived up to their reputation. I highly recommend them. Edit: they helped me out of another jam and didn t charge me anything because it only took a minute. Even though I insisted on offering some payment they declined. Can t say enough good things about this shop.

I own a older vehicle which I do not want to put much money into. These guys just want my truck to be safe and reliable during the winter with no added chit chat about needed this or that. Straight forward trustworthy guys. I was working down the street when I had a flat. AAA pumped it up, drove to Flanery, and they drove me back to work! Next day I had to work so they gave me a car to use. I would recommend them in the highest regards.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had both my cat/converts stolen off my Toyota truck. Dealership gave me an estimate of 6k with a 2 week waiting period. Flannery s did it for 1600, <2days and they installed a stainless steel theft shield free of charge!! Amazing service. Thank you, Flannery bros!

Females beware!!! Scammed and disrespected by the people at Flanery's.When I called, I explained I needed my oil changed and my code read, as my check engine light is on. I explained the same when I dropped it off. When my car was ready, they had done a $68 oil change (2x as much as Ive ever spend in Minneapolis), and had changed the light bulb, although I explained I'd have my family do it. The employee said "well your car doesn't run very well, maybe they can fix that, too" with distaste. There's no way he would've said that to a man, as it was rude and condescending. ALSO, they NEVER checked anything for me. The man had a "guess" about what it could be, but never checked after asking them 2x.I wouldn't recommend this to anyone I know, especially a female.

I've taken my aging car to Flanery Brothers a few times now, and have always had a positive experience. They're very friendly, it's family-owned, and have consistently provided great service. They always call before doing anything major, and they're open about prices - which are very reasonable and fair!

I have been here before, had a good experience, and decided I needed another tune up. I went to drop off my car when I saw that no one inside was wearing a mask. I understand that it's your business and you can do what you want, but you'll be getting into my car and sharing a space in a tiny office with me while I sign paperwork and make the payment. I know it's going to cost a bit more and maybe not be as good of service to go elsewhere, but I'm not going to risk my health.Services: Auto engine tuning, Brakes

Flanery Brothers is helping the community by doing a promotion for free oil changes for laid off workers. They were professional, timely, and allowed for a no-contact pick up when my car was ready. We will definitely be going back!

I had a really positive experience here - I came in with a minor problem, they actually looked at it REALLY fast and when they were done 15 minutes later, they said it was on the house! I will definitely return here for my future car needs. Thanks!!! I feel like it s rare to go to a repair place where they don t tell you your car needs a bunch of extra work that you didn t even come looking for. Thanks again. Highly recommend.

Being female and not that knowledgeable about cars, I'm always a bit nervous about mechanics. I started going to Flanery Bros because I bought a house nearby. I've since moved and still take my car there. They are exceptionally honest and have a great reputation in South Minneapolis. I have an older model car (1995 Mazda 626) and they've kept it running very well for me for over 11 years -- it runs so well that I'm not ready to replace it yet. I've had many different things on the car repaired that have worn out due to age, and their prices have always been very reasonable, and they always call with an estimate -- no surprise charges! When I check their repair prices out with car-savvy friends they always say "that's a good price for that". I trust them to do the work well and charge me fairly and would recommend Flanery Bros. to anyone!

Professional, knowledgeable, and skilled at diagnosing. Won't upsell you anything your vehicle doesn't need. I've been a few times for both unscheduled (brakes, tire plugs, exhaust pipe) as well as routine maintenance, and they've always had sensible solutions with reasonable costs. Flannery is very honest and loyal auto company. They are very clear in explaining what needs to be worked on and if its a big job they will break it down into different sections from most important to something that may be okay to wait on for a while. They are very reasonable pricing compared to other Auto shops. They work hard and are fast while making sure you are mobile.

I was referred to Flanery Brothers as they were covered under a warranty policy to fix something an out of state shop had done work on. I went in and they looked at it and fixed it within 30 minutes, and didn't even charge me because they said it was a pretty easy fix. I don't know a single company that will do work for nothing, and I certainly don't expect them too, but obviously speaks highly of their ethics to not overcharge and rip you off (especially because I'm a woman and often get spoken down to in regards to auto repair stuff). Needless to say this place has my business for all oil changes and needs in the future!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I needed help getting some rusty plates off my car and a quick oil change. I called them in the morning and it was done by mid-afternoon, and they didn't even charge me for the labor for the plates. Easily some of the best service and prices around.

I brought my car to check for a fluid leak. The guy told me small leak on transmission not big deal olus it will cost hundreds of dollar. He recommended to change muffle becaise to him it was in bad shape. I went ahead and let him change muffler for a 514 dolar repear. Next week car leak was worse, i went to different places for opinion and was told the axel was leaking and needs repear. Very disappointed at this mecanic for talking me into no fixing the real problem. Do not recommend this guys.

I've been using Flanery's for years. They've always been very honest and helpful. We will be moving out of the neighborhood in the spring. I might just drive back into Minneapolis for them to work on my car. I trust them so much to do a good job.
