I have always had positive experiences here. These people know their business. Dana at the front counter is very knowledgeable, proficient, and personable. The day I was there in April, 3 of her coworkers called off that morning. Dana was handing everything and very busy the whole time I was there waiting for my car to be serviced. I beleive that those coworkers ALL owe her a lunch meal, Dana handled the large workload herself and was doing so very well.Good people and good service here. I can't say that for everywhere I have been to, but I can say that for here.

Store Manager Dana was belligerent, confrontational, disrespectful to me and her coworkers, and refused to stand by the work performed at her store. It, and I do not exaggerate, was the worst I have ever been treated as a customer in my entire life. After experiencing a severe mechanical breakdown, I unfortunately had to have my vehicle towed to this store. In short, I had a new starter, new rear brakes, new clutch, and a transmission flush totaling over $4,000 completed. When I picked up the car, I immediately had to take my car to another location to fix an issue that prevented my car from starting. GM Dana at the store stated that the other location did not have an invoice for this visit. I called theother location, and they provided me with the invoice # immediately.Less than a year later, I was having an issue with my parking brake, and my driver s side rear wheel was locking up, causing the rear passenger side wheel to smell like burning metal. The issue with the parking brake, as I described, but the service person wrote incorrectly, was that it had lost pressure, and had no resistance when I pulled it up as usual when I engaged it. Reading their invoice, they said there is no issue with the parking brake, and I was charged nearly $300 to have the right rear brakes fixed, even though they were replaced on less than a year ago and I was having an issue with the left rear brakes.Less than a month after my last visit, I had to return to the store due to the same issue with my parking brake and left rear wheel locking up. Dana said that in the three weeks since I had last been there, the parking brake cables had rusted over, and were unable to function properly. Seeking clarification, I stated that rusting is a gradual process, and there was no way that in the three weeks since I was last there that the rust had developed. Dana belligerently kept yelling at me, saying that it is cold in Minnesota, and that my car is old, but wouldn t address why I was having the exact same problem from 3 weeks ago. She, and the service tech Mic, were yelling at me, and insulting me. They also stated that their co-worker doesn t know anything, and shouldn t be talked to, directly to their face. It was so bizarre seeing co-workers talk to a peer like that. Please, go to a different brand. My experience was the worst consumer experience I have ever had, and have heard similar horror stories about Firestone from neighbors. I've never posted a Google review, and only post in sincerity to help fellow consumers.

Firestone was able to get me in to put in a new battery on a Sunday when my car wouldn't start. Within 2 months, my car didn't start. I took it to my usual car repair location, and they diagnosed it as a dead battery. I took it back to Firestone. They ran tests, and weren't convinced that it's the battery. But they still replaced the battery and also rotated the tires at no charge because I had to pay $40 to my normal repair location. Great customer service to remedy the hassle and expense of a dead brand new battery.

Not sure of her name, but woman working up front (i assume a manager) great personality, knowledgeable, made me feel comfortable asking questions for my first time coming to firestone versus the dealership. 10/10 made this experience great, committed to this location going forward!

Everyone was professional, the front desk/ service desk manager was fantastic. She was managing multiple customers, running around like crazy balancing all, remained professional, never acted frustrated with the workload that was obviously overwhelming but she did fantastic. Made me feel very welcome and taken care of. Definitely will be back.

I enjoyed working with your staff and they're lots of fun. Worked most with Steven and he was great. Katie (not sure of the asian american woman's name but i've worked with her before and she's great too). The only reason i scored a 9 instead of a 10 was the expense of the oil change. However, Steven suggested tires that were on promotion which kept the cost down in that regard. What i thought would finish in the $1200s was $964. I have already recommended your shop to others. Finding a good mechanic sucks and it was a pleasant surprise to try you out and have great results! This is my second visit to your shop. There will be a third. Thank you!!!

A few Sundays ago, I drove my Audi to the Firestone Tire and Service near the Southdale Center. I had a puncture in my tire that wasn't holding air, and after inquiring about the situation over the phone , planned on getting it repaired quickly for the quoted $30.After a quick 15 minutes, Zach, the customer service advisor told me that my tire would not be repairable, and that I would need to purchase a new set of 4 tires. He did not present the damaged tire to me. When I suggested doing some research on tires, Zach discouraged me from driving more than 30 miles on the spare tire. While pondering my options, I read the Harvey Firestone quote on the wallpaper in the lobby, that stated "Honesty is the greatest business principle," and decided to go ahead and purchase new tires.A short while later, Zach has called me back up to his counter (bully pulpit) and told me that I need new brakes. Concerned for my safety, he told me that driving any more on my brake pads would be dangerous because there is very little left on the brake pads. I decline. While waiting, I walked towards the auto service area, and see my Audi raised up on the automotive lift in the nearest repair bay. With the tires removed, I take a picture(BEFORE). Checking progress again, I see my Audi being lowered and the service technician kicking in the swing arms with his feet, intending to tuck them under the vehicle, so the car can roll off the lift in reverse. I see the swing arm closest to my vantage point is not tucked in completely and gets lodged in the backside of the front spoiler/splash guard. Unknown to the technician in the driver seat, the front end has flexed to the max and become separated from the passenger side of the front end. Zach is present in the area and quickly commands the driver to stop reversing the car. He drives the car back forward to release the damaged splash guard off the lift arm.My vehicle was then lifted up in another bay, which was the furthest from the customer lobby to review the damage to the bumper. Assuming they would review and share with me the extent of the damage afterwards, I wait patiently. Zach has started to eat his lunch at the counter. I approach him and ask him if he is going to address the damage done to the car. He is surprised that I know of the damage, and immediately says the bumper had damage before, and would not have gotten caught on the swing arm if not flawed. He said they are 're-attaching' and will be the same as it was before. I am now very concerned that I am not dealing with a customer service oriented professional or company. After three hours, my car is ready, and I am asked to pay for the new tires by Zach. I ask if I can see the car before I make the payment, and he reluctantly walks out to the car. He shows me the 're-attached' bumper and states that it looks like it did before. I had taken a picture (AFTER) and told him that I was not happy with his unwillingness to be upfront and honest about the situation and not comfortable making the payment for the tires without some plan of resolution for the body damage. He responded by accusing me of being like 'many others, whom take advantage of Firestone's deep pockets', and starts to become visibly agitated with my pursuit of some resolution. He tells me that I can call tomorrow and talk to the manager if I have a problem. I pay for the tires and leave with the worst feeling you have can have after 'service'. .The next day, I call store manager Josh, and asked him if he was aware of the situation from yesterday. Josh agrees that the situation was handled poorly. He claims that Zach didn't actually know how the car was damaged - despite witnessing it. With Zach present, I am put in a situation of my word against Zach during my return visit and pursuit of customer service and honesty.Josh states that he doesn't have his A Team working on Sundays, and that his weekday team may be able to repair the bumper to my satisfaction. After review with Josh we see that the bumper was re-attached to my car with zip ties.

Have enjoyed Firestone service, but their labor rate is now $179 per hour. This is about double an average metro dealership rate. Beware!!

These guys are great! I feel they re fair in their pricing and never feel like they re trying to upsell me problems that don t exist or aren t a true concern. Been coming here for years now with both of our cars. Has a bit of an emergency and they were able to turn it around same day even and was ready for me when I got off work. Highly recommend!

I took my car to this place for Tires rotation that I purchased there, at 2/16 at 3:20pm. I was told it will take about an hour and waited in their freezing, no heat waiting room. At about 4:10pm, I was told of some repairs I needed, that I declined because I had an appointment at 5:00pm and didn t want to wait. The few customers that came after me were served and left. No one was coming to the front desk and every now and then, a lady will peek from the shop doorway towards where I was, in the freezing waiting room. Since it was already 5pm and past my appointment time, I approached the front desk and called and banged to no avail. In frustration, I walked to the back of the shop. Only my car was there in the bays ready. A man and a woman were back there, absolutely doing nothing other than chatting, and the man shouts will be there with you soon. Their conduct was unprofessional, unscrupulous and shady!Service: Tires

The best thing about this place was the coffee. They didn't even check leaks in my exhaust. THey saw the leak that I told them about and didn't attempt to locate any others. 20 bucks and two hours of my life for some bs.

Never had to wait too long, been there 4x or so for tire repairs and brake service. Only onetime had a guy tell me like there were several hundred dollars of repairs to do and I declined, seemed steep and unnecessary..

Had came in at the end of November 2020 for a front rim replacement for my vehicle that went very well and I was in and out very quickly! Which is why I was so disappointed with my service a few months later. Came in today for a wheel alignment and tire rotation and was told by Joe that it may be a few hours, great had the day off and went to Southdale. After and hour and a half I got a call back from Joe saying that they completed the wheel alignment, but that they recommend getting a new set of tires and brakes as they were pretty worn out. (Which I will say I agree with, but not the point.) But I kindly declined, and was told my vehicle would be ready in ten minutes. And as I walk in to the store towards the empty front desk and wait for the next 5 or so minutes, eventually Joe shows and he talks to me about the services he recommends again and I sort of just let him talk about those services. And then we finally get to the part where I pay, and I noticed that I still had the fee for the tire rotation on the invoice, which I was a bit surprised about as Joe a few minutes ago was asking if I wanted to replace my tires with some brand new ones (why would you rotate the tires if you buying new ones?), and so I asked "Well so did we end up rotating the tires on my car?", and Joe replied with a simple "yes we did". Okay I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he would rotate those tires and paid for my service and left. And remember what I had said about getting a new front rim a few months back? Well the rim is visually newer looking from the rest of the set and can clearly be seen as a new rim, and lo and behold once as I get back home, that tire is in the same exact spot that it was in before. So Joe straight up lied to my face about completing the service, and could have easily just taken that charge off the invoice and we would have been fine.I will never be coming back to this location as honesty is not a known concept here.

The worst service I have ever seen if I could give them I would give them 0 . they do a work on your car without letting you know what it is and add extra service labor you don't know I asked inspection and they tell me false inspection even they Greassed my rim telling me that my tire is leaking a Grease and I discovered later that was false and lie when they done I look the receipt there is unknown service and labor which was too high my car was stucked there for 7 days and they were telling me we are waiting a parts until this day came. When I saw the unknown service and labor fee which was too high I asked to see th manager oh she was worst manager she didn't let even tell what happened when tried to tell her she started shouting until she said I will call the police Then I realized they are liar and stealing the people I just paid what they asked I took my car and left I warning any body who is trying to go there You will be disappointed...

These people don't deserve your business. I made an appointment online to reattach a detached panel, and Firestone's website confirmed my appointment. Then, hours later, I left work early to make my scheduled appointment. Staff at this location were quite passive-aggressive, told me they would not honor my scheduled appointment, that I would need to wait "hours" for them to be ready to look at my car, and that I should "tell corporate" that they couldn't honor all the appointments Firestone offers to the public. Then I drove around until I found a mom-and-pop auto repair shop that was about to close. They took one look at my car, and did the repair in five minutes and charged me $10 - all without an appointment. Save yourself the waste of time, and find another auto repair place instead of the Edina Firestone.

My car would briefly rattle upon startup and then the check engine light came on, so I brought it in immediately. They informed me the error code meant I needed new spark plugs and an ignition coil. (I should mention that this alone somehow cost over a grand there, and the mechanic was rude on the phone and also tried to tack on a bunch of bogus services that I had recently had completed elsewhere and knew were unnecessary.)Got the plugs and coil done and the next day: the exact same issue. Brought it in a second time and they brushed me off by saying they just hadn't properly cleared the old error codes. I didn't think that seemed correct, but went with their advice and had that done. The next day: the exact same issue. Made an appointment to bring it in for their third attempt at fixing the same initial problem which they hadn't correctly dealt with (after having already spent over $1,000 there). Was then told only one person there could work on this sort of thing (really?!?) and he would now be out for a week. So basically I'd have to just drive around like that until then, which one can assume would only further damage my car.Enough was enough so I went somewhere else and they actually did the work of examining the engine instead of just blindly relying on computer codes. The real problem was warped cylinder heads. Those were causing coolant to leak which caused the rattle upon startup that the computer had read as an ignition misfire. It wasn't the spark plugs or coil (and definitely not any of the other things Firestone tried to add-on that I am now so glad I rejected.)In the end, not only didn't they fix they problem, they actually exacerbated the situation, and on top of it I had to pay out the nose for their mistake. I would never trust them to touch my car again. They don't stand by their work and there's no accountability. They immediately attempt to shift blame to the customer, so be ready for that.Heed the many negative reviews for them online. I wish I had!***UPDATE: Since they responded to this post I followed up with them and discovered that the staggering indifference and baffling inability to communicate within the company which was demonstrated at the Edina location was likewise represented within their corporate offices. We had a back-and-forth going for weeks and weeks in which I was falsely told someone would contact me to make things right. Gigantic waste of my time. Honestly made the whole experience worse than it already was.AND THEN winter came. I had been to Firestone in July, but now it was November and my car wouldn t start whenever it was 30 or below. After having my current shop look it over and try a few different things, we come to find out that the ignition coil in this post that Firestone unnecessary installed and overcharged me for was an AFTERMARKET PART that wasn t even compatible with my Subaru!!! So I literally had to pay someone else to undo ALL the work Firestone had done just so I could put my car back in the shape that it was before they damaged it! I didn t know there were garages that existed with such a level of incompetence as to cause personal headaches for months and months. Save yourself the stress of paying twice for something you don t even need done once. Go to a local business instead.

There are three things I rate on with regards to my reviews. Customer service, timeliness, and efficiency.Let's begin with timeliness. 5 out of 5. I came in for an oil change and to get my vehicle inspected for any issues. The oil change took no time, but the recommended fixes took some time because they had to courier in a vehicle part. I was totally fine with that. The thing that I thought was amazing was getting that part in within the same day AND installing the part (it was my muffler).Efficiency. 5 out of 5 stars. Was re-work needed? No. My car has been running fine and I haven't had any issues. I was informed that I have some scheduled maintenance to do, but that's for my next visit. I already talked about the same day muffler installation, can't really get any better than that.Customer service. 5 out of 5 stars. This is where most places will lose a star or two. For me, three stars means that the associate did what they needed to do and the transaction went smoothly. Customer service is all about building a relationship with your customers. Terrible customer service WILL PRODUCE A LOT OF CHURN in your business and that's something that most businesses can't afford (since it costs so much more to obtain customers than retain them). The service manager Zach not only kept me updated on my car repair, we also talked about the Minnesota Vikings (who were playing at that time),talked about sports for a bit, and joked about it. By going out of his way to build a customer connection with me, I am much more likely to come back for my scheduled maintenance. In fact, I will come back for my scheduled maintenance (also you guys are right by the mall). Thanks for repairing my car and producing a great customer experience. Keep up the good work :)!
