First time I went here today to wash my car. It was automated car wash service. I had coupon for car wash and I claimed it inside store. And went to car wash firstly, instructions are not proper it's very difficult to follow. Then after car wash started. I thought atleast that would be good for 10 bucks. But it's not washed car properly everywhere soap remaining. Water wash is not able to clean soap itself think how good it is for dirt. Felt bad after exit so asked one of the guy from service center. He asked me to buy another wash. My question is what kind of service is that. Then he said I can give you rug to wipe soap. He gave me rug and I cleaned all soap by myself. I don't think I go there again for car wash.

I have been looking for a good shop for quite some time (years in fact), and I have really struggled. It seemed that no matter where I went, I would run into poor quality work, unfriendly service, or just plain dishonesty. Dred Scott Automotive is none of those things, and is a huge breath of fresh air. I decided to give them a try based on reviews I read on Google, and I am so glad I did. Recently I have had both my 2014 Traverse, and my 2014 Mustang in their shop, and both times, they made everything super easy and stress free. They were very friendly and really listened, they communicated well and were honest, they did high quality work (and as a former mechanic in the Air Force trust me, I can recognize good work), the prices were fair, and my car was returned to me in great working order and clean. These guys actually get what good customer service really is, and all the other shops should pay attention. These guys know how to do it right. I know we all wish we could say that we had a shop we can trust. I'm pretty certain I have finally found mine. This is how repeat customers are created. Thank you guys for all your hard work!!!

I highly recommend Dred Scott Automotive. The guys there are very knowledgeable, trustworthy, never try to upsell you and their customer service is the best! I am always able to get in quickly. Today I had them fix something on my car and as I was getting my credit card out to pay them, they said Oh there s no charge for that . Who does that these days!

I definitely recommend here! I was looking for a new auto shop cuz the one I used to go closed permanently. I found here recently, and just got tire and oil changed. They gave a car wash and the staff was honest and kind! Thanks!!!

I spoke with Ryan on the phone before going in. I talked to a lot of other auto shops and he was the most professional he was very helpful, Answered all my questions and took the time to explain everything for me to understand. Donivin was also great and very personable. Thank you! - Chantra

Went here for a 2nd opinion glad I did! Was told they didn't see anything too concerning but to watch and wait until next oil change to see if it really was an issue. Will be returning as honest mechanics are very hard to come by. Thank you for spending the 10 minute it took to see what took the other place 3 hours to "find".

It was below zero and my ancient car (2007 Honda) had a 4-year old battery. I should have replaced it already, but I was facing two days of driving ahead. I called Dred Scott that morning, told them my problem, and asked if they could still install a battery that day. He said, "No problem! We'll order one now and you can drop it off at 1 p.m." Installation took less than 20 minutes; my brand new battery is ready for winter. This kind of responsive service is typical and why I continue to take my car to Dred Scott.Service: Battery

One of the only places I trust to work on my car. Communication, honesty, and quality of work are top notch. They are approachable and easy to work with. Get things done promptly on time. I do Quality Assurance for a living and can tell they put a lot of pride in their work and don't cut corners. Nate and Alex are personable and put you at ease while you talk through your options for fixing your car. Would recommend this place to anybody who needs a mechanic that they can trust. Impressive.

Phenomenal experience!If you're looking for a reliable mechanic, then STOP wasting your time. This is hands down, the best experience I've ever had with an auto-mechanic. Not only did they fix my car for an extremely affordable price, but they also informed me of a huge issue with my vehicle that was the result of poor mechanical work from another shop (Honest1 Auto).Honest1 had glued my spark plugs to the connectors with elmer's glue, and decided not to tell me that they broke the connectors in the first place. Unbeknownst to me, this caused even more issues with the vehicle, resulting in me having to replace all the spark-plugs and connectors again (This time going through Dred Scott).The mechanics at Dred Scott were kind enough to write their own notes (pertaining to the glued spark -plugs) and this allowed me to take the notes back into Honest1 for a full refund for Honest1's awful service. I seriously could not be happier with these guys... They literally made me money!!!All said and done, my car runs as good as new now, and I've got a go-to mechanic. Thanks Dred Scott auto :)

We have used Dred Scott Automotive for about 13 years. Always honest about service needing done. Insurance sent us to another shop after getting a quote from them and the other shop wanted 300.00 more for the same service. Will keep going to these guys.

Had a nail in my passenger side tire. Stopped at Bobby ans Steve's on Normandale.The mechanic said it would be $40 to put a plug in it but they couldn't get to it for 3 days if I get an appointment. Come on, it is a 10 minute job. I called Dredd Scott Auto and was in and out, in less than 10 minutes. Give them a try. You'll be impressed too.

I would recommend this shop to anyone that needs any type of honest, fair repair or maintenance done! Nate and Alex were both very friendly and treated me with respect, even though I m not exactly knowledgeable about vehicles. I had gone to another shop in the area and they had told me I needed $2,000 in repair work brakes and a couple of leaks. I then took the car to Dred Scott hoping to get another opinion and they not only told me but showed me that the brakes did not need to be replaced, and not only that but the leaks were terribly misquoted. Dred Scott got the leak fixed for me for over $700 cheaper than the other place had said it would be! And the brakes didn t need to be done for about another 15-20,000 miles. All in all if you are looking for a quality, knowledgeable, honest, and prompt shop this should be your go to repair shop! They can take care of all your needs and will do it right the first time.

I purchased a groupon for here. Everyone was extremely friendly, fast and got me an appointment quickly. The shop looked clean and even when I was running behind they still fit me into the schedule. Got a great deal for an oil change and tire rotation from these guys. They got the work done quickly and were a pleasure to work with. From my first phone call, I really appreciated the service that the folks at Dred Scott gave me. Nate, the service manager I believe, was very personable and also straight forward on the phone and in person. Despite me being pretty late for my appointment they were still able to help, and I even got a ride from Paul (I believe the Bait Shop/Gas Station manager which is attached/part of the same business I believe), who was also quite personable and friendly, to and from my place so that I was able to get some things done at my place while they worked.A truly 5 star experience. Being new to town, I'm happy to have found where I'll have my vehicle serviced so long as I'm in the area.Thanks gentlemanPS shoutout obviously to the guys who did the work on my car, I just wasn't able to catch their names!

I was so impressed with Dred Scott Automotive. They took excellent care of me before taking my trip. They are all friendly, helpful, and professional. D/S will be taking care of my car from now on. Try them. Y'all will like them I promise.

Great place to take your car!!I went in and there was an issue with a faulty oil filter and my car leaked. The owner himself called me and brought me a loaner car and took mine back to the shop to correct the issue!!! Very polite and very first class!! All around a great experience in spite of the faulty part which was in way the fault of the shop!! I will be coming back here in the future!

I was told after an oil change I needed $2000+ worth of work on my vehicle.I got an independent mechanic to look at what they said needed replacing and i was told everything was solid.Steer clear of this place at all costs and find an honest garage. They are out there like minocco on penn ave.

Jeff is the absolute man. Totally went above and beyond to save my behind in the freezing cold. Truly a kind man who had no obligation to help me out but did so anyway. Located in Bloomington and travels to Shakopee and Eden Prairie but Prior Lake is " way too far out of the way" according to the gentleman. You pass Prior Lake on your way to Shakopee bud. Only reason you recieved 1 star is because I had no choice.

Great service!! Went out of their way to make sure I understood what was needed and actually told me some services that I thought I needed I did not! Now that s honest! Definatkey recommend and I ll go back!
