If you want your engine machining work done right the first time, you need to see Tom at Cylinder Head Services. I have had Tom do several jobs for myself and friends have as well. Always very high quality work. Tom has a vast knowledge in his field and is always willing to explain why something should be done or not done. Tom has never sold myself or friends something that was not needed. No doubt Tom is the best in the business!

Tom is incredibly skilled at what he does, I own 3 shops in St. Paul and have stopped going anywhere but here for cylinder head work because I know I can confidently stand behind the work he does. His invoices are also very detailed, you know exactly what you're paying for. If I could give 10 stars I would!

Great service, Tom was very friendly! The heads I brought in had some pitting but he was still able to grind down and polish them, and they fit perfectly back onto my car.

I have had Tom perform work on two sets of cylinder heads. I'm just a DIY mechanic, but Tom treats me like a long time professional. I've dealt with other machine shops that are condescending and don't want to answer questions from non-pro like myself, but Tom is always willing to explain things and answer questions. He has never tried to up-sell and works with me to perform only the work that is required. His shop is clean and organized. I wont hesitate to take any machine work to him.

Tom is one of the nicest people I have dealt with in any business. I took a head in from my diesel engine on my boat and he said it couldn t be fixed. I ordered a used one from someone out east and had Tom fleux (?)it and he said it wasn t any good. Not only that but he called and talk to the people I had ordered it from and had them send me a new one!. This is a guy that really knows his business. Does he answer the phone real quick? No he s busy working on someone s project. Have a little patience, and you ll get the best work done in town.

Tom is the best there is out there for machine service on your engine components. I read some previous bad reviews people have left. There's always two sides to the story. I've been in this business for many years and have done many many cylinder heads and engine tear downs. Not once have i had a customer come back with any issues from the cylinder heads i have serviced by Tom. I agree that he is a little more expensive than most shops in the Twin Cities, but when you see the results and the product you're recieving from him, that will justify why. I dont know how he can deliver such a good product in such a short time. I wish i could post pictures to show his work.

Tom is the best at what he does. His vast knowledge and quality work is unmatched. I have sent various cylinder heads his way over the last 15 years and would never use another head shop.

Absolutely Perfect. Tom knows his stuff down to the very last aspect of any head you bring him. Though the head job may take a little longer (not much as Tom will work with you on a time frame if he can), it is definitely worth it. Every penny is well spent.

Tom is the man. When I was looking to have some heads machined (07 Subaru Legacy) I called a couple of the shops around town and Tom was the only one that actually knew what he was talking about over the phone and would describe the process in detail. Once I received the heads back I had to ask them if the heads were new because they were so gorgeous! I totally recommend CHS Inc.!!!

This guy is absolutely the best! I ve been using his services for more than 20 years! I just read the negative review and clearly disagree! You decide. There s always one person that can t be pleased. Clearly a misunderstanding of some kind. Tom has NEVER given me poor service. Use them if you want the job done right!

The best around! I have had Tom do many cylinder heads for me and the work is always top notch. I wouldn't bring my stuff anywhere else.

I've never used their service(and never will), but this is a review for the grumpy guy who finally picked up the phone. For the last 2 weeks I've been calling multiple times and no one ever answers the god dang phone. When I finally got through I was just curious what their estimate was for cutting seats for 1mm oversized valves. Told him 16 valve 4 cylinder Toyota engine. The guy rambles on about how he couldn't give me an estimate at ALL, then seemed kinda pissed I ordered parts online. Mentioned that he only makes money selling parts... And because I was going to provide my own valves, he'd need to charge me for that too. "Wow!" His excuse, you don't bring in your own burger patties to a burger joint.Yada yada yada, but he's full of dog excrement. Every time I go to the machine shop I'm down several hundred dollars in just MACHINING alone.... So I don't see how he can make the claim that he only makes money off parts. And the BS about not being able to give me an estimate at all..... Come on man, if it cost $20 to cut one seat multiple that by 16, if I need new seats add "x" times 16, and then add your bogus extra percentage fee. Simple as that, it's called a "rough estimate" BTW.Even if he does a good job, I would not recommend this place to anyone who knows what they are doing and have been to countless other machine shops. The guy is a scamming hustler.

To put it simply...the only place to take your cylinder head work. When ever I have told my engine builder "I would prefer to have Cylinder Head Service do my heads..their answer is - no problem" That says it all. Ron
