Just had to make a quick trip to Auto Zone on 51st & Central. I called before going to make sure they had an oil cap for my car. He was so polite, nice & helpful on the phone & in person. Turns out I didn't need an oil cap, but he still took the time to show me how to properly check my oil. Highly recommend. Unfortunately I didn't get his name. Don't find great customer services like this these day.

You know I just love this Auto Zone location at 5151 Central ave. NE in Minneapolis (technically Fridley) if the staff at night weren't so friendly and helpful I would not write this review, but they are, they are just great on that 2nd shift. I'll tell you I was in there a couple nights ago and I was just stopping in to grab a fuel filter and checkout some new headlights perhaps, not only was I so thoroughly impressed with how absolutely clean the place was I was also amazed at some of the great deals they had going on inside the store, yep these where deals that ain't in the paper that they put out every week! These where just items throughput the store that they had marked down low, and I mean rock bottom low! But that's not the kicker, here's the kicker, so as I'm going to take off in the truck, suddenly my truck dies.... oh man here we go, right!? Arrrrgh! I have no clue what the heck is going on because I had just driven there without a problem. So let's make a long story a little shorter. So after I figureout what the problem was I realize there is NOWAY that I'm able to put this belt back on myself, and just as I realize that the store lights shut off!!! So now I'm dying inside my head, panicking hard-core thinking my trucks gonna be stuck there all night, but just as I'm about to give up I see the manager leaving with her employee and they both look as if they are in a hurry to get home when I say "hey sorry to bug you but would either of you have a moment to lend me a hand? I would really appreciate it!...??.." and I could not belive it because they both said "sure, no problem!" I was amazed! 2minutes later one of them is holding my flashlight and I'm cranking on the tensioner, while the other one is helping slide the belt back into place AND THIS IS AFTER THEY ARE BOTH OFF WORK! I would say that within a total of 9 mins we did what I wouldn't have been able to ever do alone, and I was AMAZED at how dedicated these guys (and gals!) are at this location, going the extra mile way outta their way to help. So I threw them both a $10 tip each because they don't EVER have to help anyone work on this or install that, so when they do you should throw them a tip (even if "corporate" might frown on it lol, everyone's gotta eat, right!) So yeah, 10 mins tops and I was driving home and they were on their way to enjoy their nights. So I just wanted to say "THANKS AGAIN" to the manager BRITNEY her sidekick CORDELL.... and share the photos I had just happened to take that night just for Google Maps!OH THAT REMINDS ME, if you enjoyed this true story PLEASE don't forget to hit the THUMBS UP before you exit the browser!! Oh and if you could do the same for the photos that i took so people could see just how clean that store is and how many things they have to offer, hit the LIKE button on those too, then I know I'm not just wasting my time sharing my experiences because people like you and I really do appreciate the reviews :-) I love Google Maps! called to see if they could install a battery. they said it depended on the car. i told them i would drive over to check and they said fine. i arrive 15 minutes later and they say they can t put in a battery, they re to busy and it s not something the really do. didn t bother looking at the car. thanks for wasting my time

The manager was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on where all my needed items were and I arrived with that 5 minutes until Business Close. Overall, I had an outstanding experience at the Fridley location, store 3079, and I visit various AutoZone locations often.

Great service from everyone I encountered! I worked with two of the employees and they both deserve a raise. One young fella helped me to decide which A/C recharging kit I should buy and offered to walk through the steps with me and was very fun to talk to (I'm sorry, I don't remember your name). He was pulled away for another customer and Jerome (I believe) picked up helping me. Not only did he confirm that we had selected the right product, he was kind enough to come out and actually mostly do it for me while also teaching me how to do it myself in the future. He was obviously extremely knowledgeable and I really appreciate his help. My only complaint is that my A/C now gives me frostbite it's so cold ;)

I don t do reviews but felt this one was needed. Jerome was great. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Made my trip to an auto store not bad at all and believe me I was dreading going in. Hamadu and Carlos also helped, checked my car out and told me exactly what was wrong after I had been to other places with no answer. Thanks again guys!

Good morning Auto zoneThe guy he works there he s not helping a customer I was there this morning at 7:33 AM I ask him to help me find the fuse for my car he said I don t know go find what you need sorry if go to Napa or other stores always getting help

The staff at AutoZone are wonderful! They're very friendly and professional. One of my brake lights was out, and Jerome took the time to help me identify which one and change it out. And since the bulbs come in a 2-pack and I was switching from a traditional bulb to an LED, he changed out the other one, too. From now on they are my first choice if I need parts for my car.

I had a great experience here. As soon as I walked in the door an employee asked if he could help. He looked up the auto part I came in for and when I wasn't able to answer his question he put on a jacket and came out to my car to have a look. We weren't able to figure it out, but he answered all of my questions and reassured me regarding the return policy. I definitely would shop here again!

This Autozone went above and beyond. I was assisted by Bob in purchasing battery terminals and had a great talk. Jerome went out of his way and helped me install the terminals and even tested my battery after to make sure things were working well out in the cold. Highly recommend this Autozone to anyone if they want a pure example of customer service. Thank you again

I had to come into autozone because my car had broke down about a half block away I had the pleasure of speaking with this gentleman named Christopher he came and looked at my car and got me all the parts I needed and got my car running for me suprisingly he had some of the best customer service skills I have seen in along time he is a great employee thank you Christopher

There engine parts are worthless. I've had too many come backs where there parts only last 10 to 11 months. I bought a $350 timing chain kit from them and 11 months later the chains started rattling. It should be illegal for them to sell cheap parts. If you want long lasting parts go to the dealership or Napa Auto Parts.

Stopped in for some accessories for my two vehicles. From the moment I stepped in the store, I was greeted and felt genuinely welcomed. The customer service was TOP NOTCH and unparalleled. Managers Edwin and Isaiah answered questions of mine and were very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I'm very happy with my purchase and so glad I stopped by. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this auto store.

Austin is incredibly helpful! I couldn t get new screws to go into my car to put my license plates on. Austin came outside to see what I d need, then got the right ones and then attached my license plate. It s pretty awesome when people go out of their way to be helpful!

So earlier in the day of Saturday April 24th I purchased brake pads, rotors, and calipers. It total with everything it came up to around $450 which I purchased in cash. Well a couple hours later when I finally make it to changing out the old parts in for the new parts I came to realize I didn't have the right tools to get the job done. So around 8:30 pm I called in the fridley auto zone and asked when are you open til, the response I got was 10 pm. I said perfect. I also asked if I'm allowed to return the products that I didnt use and was told yes.So I arrived to auto zone around 9. Dealt with a friendly gentleman. Everything was going fine. He scanned all the items, checked my receipts, made sure the parts were all there and untouched. Everything was fine. Then he tells my brother and me he has to get his manager to sign off on the return.After a minute or two the manager that was working. She came around the corner saying well it would be nice to know what the price of the return will be. The gentleman told her it was $444.88. She screamed "NO, NO, NO! I can't give a return for that amount. I just cleaned my cash registers and we don't have that amount in cash. You will need to go to Blaine for that." So then I replied and said "No shot, I paid in cash earlier for these parts so I know you have the cash in store." After going back and forth with her questioning if I was actually in the store earlier and the co worker of hers confirmed we were in the store earlier. She proceeded to realize she had the right amount in cash for the return. So after that the gentleman said she will assist you on that register and I said okay, thank you. When I switch to the other register she says and I quote, "Do you have a preference on how you'd like your receipt." For me to reply "No, im good." After my response she screams "Oh my god!" Swings the touch pad that reads the credit/debt cards around for her to press print receipt. I said to her after that "you could have specific you wanted me to select how I wanted the receipt, not just freaked out for no reason." She stayed quiet counted my money out, for her to hand me my change for the return for me to leave right after.That was the whole purpose I called was because I didn't want it being an issue of how late it was and for the return. That why I asked those two specific questions. No reason for her to be that b*tchy (excuse my language) to customers for absolutely no reason.

I remember when this place first opened, the customer service was an absolute nightmare. Since then though, they've clearly made consistent efforts to improve the level of service you get here.Unhelpful employees don't seem to stay employed here for long, which makes frustrations few and far between. The people that have stuck around aren't super pushy sales clerks and most of them knowledgeable and friendly enough to help you find what you need, which is about all someone can ask for from a chain autoparts store.Sometimes they are a little understaffed during peak hours (it's not unheard of for there to only be two people working the store, with 7 or 8 people waiting to be rung up) which is the only thing that really keeps me from giving this place a better score.
