If a negative rating could be left that's what y'all would have gotten. The way a woman is treated by y'all is sickening...knowing she was on speakerphone with the bank getting the money but wasn't fast enough y'all leave her to end up having to walk to get her car back in the cold a$$ weather. Then on top of that you charge her more to get the car back...y'all just seen it as a more $$ opportunity when she clearly had the money coming to pay right there but u still took her car. Also to lie on a receipt and say reason for impound was law enforcement and that it wasn't driveable is complete lies. Y'all call yourselves professionals time to act like it. Do better !!!!!

You don't even deserve a one star! Chris the owner treated me like garbage. He did everything he could to get as much money from me he could. Knowing the money was Almost here he dropped me off and had me walk the other mile to my car in the -5 cold with no jacket because it was in the car!! I had called 911 for help because I went in the ditch in the country and y'all took $500 from me! If you need help do Not call them, they will rip you off and not think twice about it!!

Was told they would be there within 45 minutes. 70 minutes later they showed with me sitting on the side of the road. Learned that the location the vehicle was being towed to farmed out body work right after it was picked up so called to have it dropped at a different location in plenty of time to make the change. They still brought my vehicle to the wrong spot because 'he was only 2 blocks away' when told it was told of the drop off location change (only possible if there was a delay in him being notified). The other location was only a few miles away. Thankful my insurance covered a secondary tow or I would have been out $150 for their failure to bring my vehicle where it was last agreed it would be brought.

When Triple A said I couldn't get a 38 mile tow for three days (Shaggy's is a AAA provider) the woman from Shaggy's contacted me directly and said they could help the same day, despite the fact the weather here has been terrible. She advised me how to work with AAA and I had my car within six hours... I've never worked with a better towing service.

We had our truck picked up by AAA using shaggys towing and needed to go 90 miles to bring it home. 40 miles later the office called and said they shouldn't have puck up to tow and left us half way home at some gas station and made us pay almost $400 when the tow would have been free through AAA. Thieves! Wouldn't wait unit we found another way home. Just left us. Horrible service and Dishonest company. If you didn't want to tow that far you should have never picked us up. AAA said that the card/towing followed the card holder so what was the issue Shaggy's? Why did you just leave us half way and refuse our AAA tow, did you take our money and get the money from AAA Goethe tow too. Crooked!!!

Read Before Calling for a TowI need to post this review of Shaggy s Towing of Melrose, Minnesota, to warn all persons who may be in need of and are searching for an emergency tow. This company is going to rip you off!This winter, my daughter unknowingly drove down an unplowed road on a downward slope with her four-wheel-drive Jeep Patriot. Due to the slope and about 8 inches of snow she could not make it back up the hill. After searching for a towing services nearby we selected Shaggy s Towing Inc of Melrose since they were within 15 miles.They showed up around 25 minutes later with two ATV s and after attaching a tow strap to her Jeep using only one of the ATV s, promptly towed her back to the main road. This tow took only a few minutes since she had not gone off the road and her Jeep is a four-wheel-drive vehicle. Although we were thankful to have her back on the road we were shocked at the final bill, just a few cents short of $390!When my wife received the invoice she contacted Shaggy s to inquire as to the high nature of these charges and was treated with snarky disrespect. The person explained that they had used two ATV s on this tow when, in fact, they had brought two but only used the one. He further explained that the ATV s were not cheap to purchase and therefore needed to charge a fee of $100 per ATV.My wife asked that since only one ATV was used if the second charge of $100 could be removed. The person responded that how would she know only one was used since she was not there (our daughter, who was there, had explained what occurred during the tow) and, therefore, would not be making any adjustments to the invoice.Upon going to Shaggy s web page we found that they would appreciate the chance to make things right before posting any negative reviews so we left a request to discuss this tow and subsequent invoice but have not heard back from anyone. We are now at the point where we realize we will not be getting any satisfaction from them so are posting our bad experience in the hopes of persuading anyone looking for a tow to look elsewhere.Signed Stuck out in the cold ,Mary & Ron Johnson, Hudson Wisconsin.

Once again shaggys towing has come to my rescue . My old ford truck broke down and won t start. I called AAA they assured me that a local tow service would be in route And there in the hour ... two hours later I was very curious where my tow service was. It just so happened that the tow service that said they were coming to help me with my vehicle decided they were not willing to drive an hour away from their location without contacting me and letting me know they decided that they weren t going to provide service for me . This is where my friendly and reliable shaggy s towing came to my rescue . Shaggy s towing responded saying that even though they were 40 minutes away from my vehicle and another hour and a half in the opposite direction from their location to deliver my truck they were ready and willing to help me get my old Ford truck to where I needed it to be. No thanks to the local joker that decided after taking the call and agreeing to the job and then deciding otherwise without contacting me!! To sum it all up all I can say is that shaggys towing provides exceptional service without a doubt! They are willing to go the extra mile. Thank you shaggys towing! next time that old ford breaks down on me you will be my first call !!!

My car fell through 4 feet of water on big lake. They told me on the phone it would be under 1000 dollars and that they would help us since we didn't have a lot of money. They charged me $3200 after 3 hours of work. I would never recommend or suggest these people for anything. Find another honest company.

Very upsetting to not be able to find out if our mothers vehicle is even in their lot when she is in the hospital so we can get the vehicle out for her. We would have the necessary paperwork at the time of pickup. Seems like just trying to accrue more fees by keeping it as long as possible. The other place in Albany was much more helpful and knowledgeable.Service: Car towing

I hit a deer around midnight 100 miles from home and AAA put a call out and were turned down by local tow companies. Shaggy's was willing to spend the early morning hours for a two hour (one way) tow despite my predicament not being in their call area. With towing companies turning down AAA calls, obviously these late night/early morning calls aren't enviable but the professionalism on this service was off the charts. I highly recommend calling Shaggy's for any towing needs!

My daughters vehicle had broke down on a Friday night by Fergus Falls and I had to drive from Sauk Centre to Fergus to pick up her keys being it was already late I figured I would just call in the morning for a tow. When I called the next morning I was told they didn't have anyone available but when I told her my situation that it's my daughter's vehicle she was on her way home from college its stalled on the interstate she radioed the truck driver and they immediately found someone to run to Fergus Falls and bring her vehicle back to sauk for me. They were absolutely amazing kind and curtious I would definitely use them again if I needed a tow. Thank you guys again so much!!!

I used Shaggy's this week for a flat tire on Hwy 94W around 11 a.m. My phone/GPS appeared that I was very near Melrose. I was just past the Melrose exit a quarter of a mile and I was charged $2.50 for them to drive to the next exit approximately five miles or less away when I had clearly stated to the dispatcher that I was less than 1/2 mile away. This cost me an extra $25.00 for the 10 miles that I wasn't expecting. I can see an extra $5 for gas - but $25.00?? PLEASE be very careful and clear that you make sure you know exactly where you are at and what you are paying for - otherwise this is very easy money for these guys --- and they don't care that you feel taken advantage of. It cost me $101 for them to put my spare emergency tire on - and their towing service is in Melrose. This wasn't a tow - it was a tire change - and I was on 94W still in Melrose. They didn't come with a big tow truck but a small, economical truck. There was not hook up fee and I was told it would be $75.00. Be very, very clear and precise when using SHAGGY's Towing.

Great, was broke down, on interstate 94, made it to near by town. Called roadside assistance. Very quick service, they we there in less than 20 minutes. Was on a Sunday, they brought my truck to garage, and took me to hotel. Was repaired and on road again by 10:00am next day.

They would not allow me to get my things from my vehicle although I was there when it was towed and came with title signed over to myself. Had trouble getting it on my name cuZ I lost a lien card, and most of what I own is in the car. It is obviously mine. as signed title should be enough.

They went out of their way to help me even after I unloaded my misfortune on them for that I am truly sorry. Courteous, Professional, Outgoing, was there in a timely manner,If I ever need a tow again and I am in the same area I will not hesitate too call them.

Shaggy s employees were all very nice and they were quick to help us. AAA quoted us 2.5 hours and Shaggy s was within 30 minutes. The price was worth it!!

After submitting my claim with AAA, I was told it would be a 1 hr wait. Will showed up in 45 min. He was professional and personable!

Feels a little on the expensive side, but I have no reference on the cost of other places. Very accommodating and helped load the vehicle on our trailer when we came to pick up the vehicle.

Absolutely RUDE I just called to get a receipt as it has been 2 days and lady yelled at me it s been to busy. Also over charged by $10. Absolutely worst dispatcher I have ever spoke to.

Towed my truck and broke my toneau cover back window and lost a pair of $200 boots, promised to replace and fix everything they broke and lost and I called them today to ask them how everything was going with getting my truck fixed and they had only found a back window for me to replace myself, and hadn't found anything on the toneau cover (to replace myself) and wouldn't be replacing my boots and only gave me 150 bucks for the trouble of lying to me...bullshit if you ask me
