Sold me a collapsible storage building for nearly $2500. They stored the things upside down in their lot, and then they punctured a hole in the roof with their forklift when loading it on to our flatbed truck. The ended up giving me $500 back to repair the roof, so I put a new OSB and fiberglass roof on it, and tried to erect it. The photos show what happened when we erected it. There were no studs in the walls...the walls were nothing more than insulation backed on two sides with sheet metal. Well, you can about guess what happened. The insulation inside became so waterlogged that the sheet metal was unable to carry the weight, and tore loose from the sheet metal screws holding the walls up. The walls basically fell off like limp noodles.Between Ritchie Bros. unloading the things upside down, and then tearing a hole in the roof with a forklift, the thing became so waterlogged that it couldn't hold itself together when we tried to erect it.They won't do anything for us. They actually told me to bring it back and sell this piece of scrap metal to someone else.

There's so much stuff for sale there. Mainly equipment just the easiest way to describe it.

This company is so greedy and so caustic and arrogant that they want to punish auction buyers by charging a minimum buyers fee of $100 on ANY item that you suceefully bid on for $1000 or less. If they want to eliminate small items from their auctions, then they should exclusively be putting the extravagant fee on the seller who is bringing them in instead of pretending that such an excessive buyers fee is reasonable. They are just another corporation that thinks it is better than the people it "serves", and that sees people as little more things that should be generating massive profits for them at every turn.

I was coming up from down south where everything is decorated for the Fourth. Cranes everywhere, at dealers, construction companies, construction site cranes are flying flags proud and high. Lots of pride and holiday spirit there. Got into Minnesota and here's Ritchie Bros. with a whole line of cranes out front and one flag apparently displayed for America's birthday celebration, a Ritchie Bros. flag, not one American flag to be seen, they are flying their business flag instead. Kinda disappointing to see they couldn't be bothered to raise even one Stars and Strips for families to see and enjoy as they are coming into Minnesota for the holiday.

As an employee of a business that does alot of business with ritchie bros, i have always been treated well. The drop off is always smooth, the employee that does item intake is good at his job. The girls in the office are proficient and dont deal with any BS on not having proper documents etc.The pickup of products purchased is simple, show up with the purchase receipt, get it loaded by yourself, or with help from the yard staff, strap it down, get inspected and leave. The people complaining about auction listings, or incomplete info on listings, its their (Ritchie Bros) responsibility to list it with the best information they have at that time, if you have a question or concern its YOUR responsibility to go inspect the product before bidding. This is the chance you take, not inspecting items in person.

Very disappointed in their representation. I bought something there and called a few times to talk to the one Rep. I was concerned about the specs and it wasn't clear enough in their ad. The "clarification" was all wrong. I went to pick it up and it was different than I expected based on our conversation. I called the rep and was told "sorry you bought it". I learnt a lesson on not getting enough photos of specific things.
