I have stayed here on several occasions in the past. I never go someplace where I don t feel welcome, or, I don t feel like I got what I paid for. Here you will! I had to come here on a count of a medical procedure. Obviously not at the hotel. Keith runs the front desk. I believe he is the owner as well. Could not have been any kinder to me and my let s just say, delicate situation. On the other occasions that I have stayed here, and I m terribly sorry that I never made a review on this before, every time I ve stayed has been an absolute nice and pleasant stay. The rooms are clean, very clean in fact! Believe me if they weren t, I probably would ve written a review a lot sooner. I believe this is my fourth or fifth stay, and I can tell you it s always nice. Whether it s the dead of summer or the dead of winter, everything is the same. It s very nice. They even have a little breakfast for you in the morning. You could go somewhere else and stay if you want to, and I could, but I think for the money and for the location you re not going to beat it! You could do a lot worse than to try and stay here. And I can promise you, I could afford to go anywhere. I choose to come here.Rooms: Are very clean! I have brought my wife here with me in the past, believe me, if there was a problem, she would be the one to find it. She is a stickler for clean.Walkability: There s a nice steakhouse right next door, and there s a Walmart right across the street and several other places that you can just walk right to where you wanna go.

Stayed here on a Saturday, just my partner and me, hotel seemed pretty full.Biggest positives: clean, good condition rooms, friendly and helpful staff, good location for food and being able to get around town.Biggest complaint: the noise, if you have heavy footed upstairs neighbors, you ll hear them, loud people in the hallway, you ll hear them. I don t remember the last time I was at a quiet hotel tho, so take that with a grain of salt. As well, the rooms have a good deal of echo, so watching certain shows was challenging and simple things like shutting doors was louder than expected. Some more stuff on the walls may help with that.Other considerations: continental breakfast of various breads, juices, apple sauce, and oatmeal s. My room had a microwave and fridge. Gotta ask the front desk if you want more pillows or blankets. Coffee and hot water for tea at the front desk.Nearby activities: The university, food, restaurantsFood & drinks: Brau brothers, hitching post

Truck driver here. I delivered to the local Menards and was out of time on my 70 hour clock. I went in to ask if they had truck parking. They said yes they do so I stayed for two nights. The two employees at the desk were awesome, personable, and had a sense of humor. The room was clean the bed was soft the shower was hot and they have a washer and dryer here. So I got to do my laundry. The rooms are affordable, and quiet. If in the area again they have earned my business.

If there was a way to put zero stars. I will put zero. Breakfast was not good at all, did not have hot water for coffee. I had to call the owner and complain two times due to the fact of the beds not being made and the restrooms not being cleaned. Got there on a Sunday paid for the week not knowing that it was bad service!!! Owner was very generous and understood the problem. First time I talked to him told him the issue Tuesday night. He said he will get the cleaning staff to do what they had to do. Wednesday was clean beds made and towels were fixed.By Thursday night when I got home from work it was not taking care of. Very disappointed because I was expecting the week to end better.

All night heard people walking above us like they were walking through marbles. No clue why, but being startled awake every couple of hours. Sticky floors and a deadbolt that jammed and made it difficult to get out of our room in the morning. Complained to front desk and they were aware of the noise...long termers staying that were told not to walk around at night. What?! Fix the dang floors!

The rooms are good for the price, though other parts of the hotel are "meh". Great place for workers to stay, for those working in this whole SW MN area with their fewer lodging options, but not so much a family-friendly hotel compared to others out there. But, not so-much-so you can't make it work for the family (it is not a shady hotel, like some I've stayed). No breakfast for the price, too, which is okay given everything in the area and their low price point (especially great for those paying work lodging out of their pocket or perdiem).Friendly, attentive staff.Great location to get you out of town and onto the jobsite fast! Nearby gas stations to fill up vehicles and equipment. Big box stores right across the street for jobsite tools, gear, supplies, lunches, drinks, etc. And, restaurants nearby for a quick dinner after a long workday!I've stayed here a few times for the last few years for work and am sure I will stay again on my next trip in that region.

Hotel has new owners and just redone. Had only been open 3 days and staff not all hired yet, so owner ran the desk.He explained 2 stars meant the amenities. I guess no pool or no breakfast does that. He did have some snacks out. But the room was really clean and only smell was fresh paint.Parking lot is dark which isn't that uncommon. At least all the parking faced the hiway so not some back araIf you want a clean super 8 at a really good price, this one is the best I've stayed at.

This was a decent stay for a week duration. This place is not updated as everyone claimed, but I did not have major problems. My room was quiet, but I wear headphones to not bother others with loud noise. My room was comfortable as there were no issues with the heating or cooling. The faucet was missing a chunk of as if it was struck hard by something, but functioned properly. The shower was excellent pressure and I always had enough hot water. My room didn't get cleaned every day which could've a problem for some people. I clean up after myself because I stay in a hotel for weeks at a time. The lobby and hallways don't have enough lighting making it look eerie, but that had nothing to do with my room. The breakfast is not great, but I don't usually eat the hotel food anyway. Wal-Mart is right across the street which was excellent for me! I was happy enough for what I paid. I was told that the manager will refuse to give points which I was not happy with.

The front desk was polite and helpful. The rooms could use a little fixing. My phone charger didn't work in any outlet because the sockets are so worn it just falls out. The bathroom could use a little update in the tub area. The room was clean but the beds are a little firm but what do you expect for the price it's just fine.

5/23/22 NEWLY REFURBISHED, NEW OWNERS. VERY Clean room with new / comfortable bedding and friendly accomodating staff. Super location immediately adjacent to restaurant/pub and gas station, with easy highway on/off. Hotel also offers large parking lot for OTR Rigs, RVs, trailer, etc. parking with lots of additional space in back away from roadways= big Pet friendly grassy areas. Free continental breakfast a nice plus! CLEAN, SAFE STAY, GREAT VALUE THANK YOU

Brittany was polite and cheerful at check in (which is why this isn't a 1 star rating). We got the last room which smelled funny and was very humid even with the AC blasting. She got me a fresh towel that didn't smell. Other guests were loud and I was awoken several times during the night. The bed was uncomfortable. The breakfast looked

This is a low budget hotel and the beds crunched when getting in them. The beds were very firm too. The floors are not soundproof and it is a tad noisy from other rooms. They offer a continental breakfast that is marginal at best. One thing to note, my company paid for the room and the front desk personnel asked for and charged my credit card also. I am waiting to see if I was credited back the charge on my card. The positives are that the front desk area is updated from the old worn out Super 8 from the past, and the water is hot for a good shower. So if you are looking for a bed and hot shower, you can get that here.

The beds feel like cheap plastic, the sink only gives you hot water, and leaks when turned off. The tub is stained brown, and the water it spits out has a dark earthy tone that compliments nicely. The side security door doesn't close, and the room door card reader works when it decides it wants to. The hallways are poorly lit, with stereotypical flickering lights to match. Super 8? More like a place to find an 8 ball. It's the 4th night of a 2 and a half week stay for work. I'll gladly drive the 3 hours bsck home during the weekends. If there's any consolation, I didn't pay for the stay. Though I wonder what I did to make my boss angry.

Staff were nice and room was clean, but it's a solid 2 stars hotel-wise. I'm not the type of person to take a scalding shower, but I had it all the way on hot and it never quite got comfortable. The beds are not awesome, but I've had worse.

I won't go back! I couldn't understand a word the desk clerk said. He reached out to hand me my door key, and about knocked me out with his body odor. The hotel is run down and outdated. My bathroom want clean. There was something unknown on the chair in my room. The breakfast didn't look good. The sausage was undercooked. My TV didn't work properly. The sound was terrible. There is some truck parking, and it's in a convenient location. Those are the only two reasons it got two stars from me. Avoid this hotel.

Stayed here over Christmas, clean and very quite stay. Beds were a bit firm for my liking but comfortable enough. Nice selection of breakfast items in the morning. Check-in was fast, provided me with a Express checkout so no need to wait around in the morning. Will stay again if in town.

Gross!! The worst place I have stayed in for years. Broken screens, security chain missing, side security door broken, outside run down with garbage strewn about in the parking lot. Smells in the hallway like someone had urinated there. The bathtub had some repairs in it that did not match the color of the tub. It looks like someone is taking all the money out of this operation and not re-investing or even maintaining the property. Next time we are in Marshall, we will stay at the Delux Motel, a clean mom and pop operation about a couple of blocks west of there. Oh, and the man at the front desk was polite, but that did not make up for the abysmal condition of this property. Or the fact that the credit card charge was posted three times. I am watching this to verify that the correct charge is posted and the other two drop off my card account. Not a good experience!!
