I arrived at 8:02am on Saturday 2/17/24. I waited for 20 minutes to be let in. A jeep that arrived after me was let in first(my fault for where I sat in line) the Jeep was given priority with FOUR TECHNICIANS and the vehicle to my left was still being worked on from when I first arrived.I was asked to please be patient. I waited another 20 minutes for service. Another vehicle pulled in and was given priority over me AGAIN because it s just air in the tires as they proceed to check fluid levels, refill wiper fluid and THEN fill the tires with air.I waited patiently, I didn t make a fuss and yet I was still treated poorly. When a technician finally came over, the job was completed in 15 minutes.I was there for an HOUR when it s a guaranteed 15 minute service.I will never return.

Waited for an hour with one car in front of me but cut my losses and left for a few reasons. There was no urgency from the staff and they were seen standing around most of the time. Nobody come out to address the wait time or shuffle cars around that have been waiting in line longer. Simply embarrassing level of service. It's faster to make an appointment at a reputable shop.

Currently waiting in line and they came out to tell me which line to pull up to. Meanwhile, two cars that arrived after me got in to their oil change first. They allowed one car that arrived before me to go into a bay that opened first, but that courtesy was not extended to me. I have been here for an hour waiting. Would definitely not recommend, this place is an embarrassment.

This experience was nothing shy of scary on 07-28-18...All for a oil change and tire rotation. I had Spencer and Benjamin working on my vehicle. First tech screamed out from below he broke a part and needed help, 2nd tech asked for help after dropping a tool in the engine compartment, 3rd unknown tech was not able to get tires back on the vehicle and needed assistance. At this point I'm feeling very uneasy as not 1 tech appears to be remotely capable of the task. Manager Tyler shows up and tells me everything is okay and gets me on my way, assuring me the tool they lost was found after addressing my concern. Needless to say as I drove off the tool fell out from under my car which I stopped and picked up. Glad to see the manager can lie to a customer's face, he clearly does not value his customers or his job. Will never return and recommend no one else either. Tried calling shortly after multiple times and they apparently are not capable of answering their phone.

I specifically asked that they check my tire pressure during my oil change, as the cold weather was causing my TPS to go off. The guy spent so much time trying to convince me to buy a cabin filter or other overpriced add-on services, he couldn't even get that right. They waved me out, but never checked the tires. So down the road I went, TPS lights ablaze.

Took them 45 minutes to change a light bulb. Normally I don't like to complain. I had my small 2.5 year old daughter with me and I kept asking if everything was okay. Apparently they had someone new, and the new guy unscrewed my fog lights, and they had to screw them back on. kept us these way past closing time. My daughter was crying in the car and asking to go home, and I couldn't even leave because it was dark out, and I needed my light done. I like the company but will not go back to this location for a while.

If you wanna done right the first time. I suggest Valvoline. They do everything and they do it right. Everything done right is worth the wait. Qualified techs you can't beat it! Thanks for everything!

I want to preface this by saying I am usually pretty patient and NEVER leave negative reviews, but this was not a pleasant experience. I drove by on my way to fill up for gas and noticed there was 1 car waiting in line at each of the doors. It took me about 10 minutes to fill up and I ended up pulling behind the car that I had seen waiting. I waited about 45 minutes and they had not even got through the car that was in the stall let alone the guy I was waiting behind. They came out shuffled some cars around and made the guy who I was waiting behind go to a different door and pulled in another car that must have been waiting longer. It took another 15 minutes or so before I even saw someone start working on that car and at that point it was about an hour wait (the guy who was in front of me was STILL waiting) it looked like he was getting ready to lose it. At this point I decided to cut my loses and leave. I understand they could have been short staffed, but to see people walking around in there with no sense of urgency or not taking any steps from a customer service aspect like "hey, sorry for the wait we are short people, or hey this vehicle needed a lot done to it which is causing a delay." Anything at that point would have been nice. From reading the recent reviews it looks like this may have just been an anomaly, but that was rough.

Short version: instant is a bit of a misnomer, but the price is competitive.Long version: Came on Tuesday afternoon at around 3 pm. This place has 3 bays and they were all occupied and there were 2 cars waiting to enter a bay in front of me. I was approached by an attendant who said the time needed for each car was typically 30 minutes. So, the wait for me was estimated at 30 minutes. After 30 minutes none of the cars on front of me had moved into a bay and I had daycare pickup so I left and came back the next morning at 8:15 am (they open at 8. This time, the bays were full but I was the next one to enter a bay. I then waited another hour to enter the bay. Once in the bay things went quickly and I was out in 20 minutes. My full synthetic oil change came to about $100 with a coupon. This seems expensive to me, but I called another shop that does oil changes and they quoted me the exact same price for a full synthetic oil change. So overall I was annoyed at the wait time once I got in things went quickly. Also they didn t try to sell me a bunch of other stuff which I appreciated

Avoid this location at all costs. Waited in line for over an hour, during that time frame they turned out 1 vehicle. Keep in mind they have 3 bays. Witching the employees during this time just seemed like they had no idea what they were supposed to be doing.

I noticed a small oil leak on my vehicle so I brought it in for them to take a look at it. I worked with Terrel and Vince and they were absolutely amazing so kind and knowledgeable. They helped explain everything in a way that I would understand and I really appreciate the time they put into helping me feel a little less worried. This location is wonderful. I will always recommend!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Valvoline on Dunkirk Ln is fantastic! I have been using Valvoline for 6 years for my oil changes almost exclusively across 3 locations and have always received amazing service. The folks there are all very friendly, efficient, and thorough in their free tire/light checks/etc and offer other fairly priced services as well which I have taken advantage of in the past. It s so nice to drive up, stay in your car, and be in and out in less than 15 minutes. If you go at a less busy time, you can expect little to no wait time. Make sure to find the coupon on their website. 10/10 recommend them for your oil changes!Service: Oil change

Fast, efficient, pleasant staff, and hard-working. These guys go the extra mile. I have been to other Valvoline locations in the Twin Cities and was always underwhelmed. This place is the exception. I don't go anywhere else for my oil changes and I rarely have to wait, either. These guys know what they are doing!

Let me wait in line for 30 minutes knowing that I was there for an oil change only to tell me that they didn t have my oil filter in stock and they ran out yesterday. If you knew you didn t have it in stock, the least you could ve done is told me when you asked why I was there when I pulled in. Thanks for wasting my time!

If your looking for a quality auto service company you can trust, I would suggest staying away from this location. My wife and I have been customers of this Valvoline for the past 5 years and over the course of this last month, the managment at this location (Riley & Trention) have made if abundantly clear to us that they do not care about their customers and certainly don't stand behind the services they offer here. Our Situation:My wife's 2017 Nissan Rouge broke down while she was travelling with our 9 month old son. She was left stranded on the side of a road for two hours waiting for a tow and a friend to pick them both up. The car was towed to our local auto shop and after about a 5 minutes of investigaion, they found a sensor that had been clogged as a result of the AIR FILTER WAS INSTALLED BACKWARDS. The sensor and filter were replaced and we recieved the bill outlining this situation in specific detail.Valvoline Response:Valvoline managment ran a Carfax report on our vehicle, after I had initiated a reimbursement claim, and confirmed that the Maple Grove - Valvoline was the most recent oil change that had been performed (including their usual air filter checks), but according to their policy, if you don't call them immediately after discovering their mistake, they wipe their hands of any and all responsibility...Pretty convinent policy to cover yourself from almost everything when most people just tell their auto shop to fix their car and get them back on the road as soon as possible...I understand that mistakes like these may happen from time to time, but to sit back and tell me that there is no way to difinitively determine who is responsible for this is a flat out lie. I know it, the entire Valvoline team knows it, and now everyone reading this knows it as well.

5 years ago I had a bad experience and said that I wouldn't be back. Well, I needed an oil change and thought I would give them another try. Manager seems really nice, service was better than I was expecting. Communication was good, price was ok, wait was long but way faster than my dealership. I'll definitely be back for my next oil change and other services.

Worth the wait, a little spendy but I'm used to changing my own oil. Service simple easy and quick. Multiple fluids and lighting checks. Overall great experience and I can be picky. Good Job Valvoline!

Waited 55 minutes. $100.89 for an oil change. Tried to tell me my air filter was dirty and when they showed it to me it looked almost brand new. Full synthetic lasts 7500-15000 miles but only put 3,500 on my sticker. Why would I be paying $100 for an oil that lasts 3,500?

I was 700 miles before the next oil change and the engine seized. No oil found in the engine. Check your oil after they show you. I no longer have a car due to their under trained staff.

Their service was top notch. I had what I thought was an oil leak after an oil change a couple weeks ago. Got connected with a manager who reviewed the video of the change and he found nothing out of the ordinary. They sent another manager, TJ, to our house just to inspect the vehicle and he gave us a good lead on what the problem was, and it wasn't anything related to their service. They did all of it quickly and politely, couldn't ask for anything more from them.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

There were only 3 workers this morning. They were busy and understaffed. Ben was very clear about the situation while staying friendly. Anagrace was kind and professional. But Charlie was amazing! He was up top and down below changing the oil. He was calm under the stress. I was very impressed with all 3 employees!!

My last oil change was done at the Maple Grove location. I had my oil changed today. When the mechanic removed the oil drain plug, the plug had been stripped. When he removed the oil filter, it was the wrong size for a 2004 Ford-150 Heritage.I will never take my vehicles to Valvoline again.Service: Air & cabin filter replacement
