If you own a Subaru you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't bring it to JM for any maintenance or performance needs. I have been a customer with them for years and will continue to be. They are more knowledgeable than dealerships and have better prices.

Recently back into the Subaru game after a few years and trust is a huge factor for me. Came up to JM Auto to get some oil for my 2019 STi, Jesse and I had a future conversation about what options would be best to make some good and reliable power.A couple weeks later car is tuned and burning that corn fuel! These guys have excellent communication and are know what the heck they re doing.Thanks Jesse, Devin and the whole JM team! I ll be back!

Can't wait to return, in due time. It is so important for places like this to exist and I am happy to support them. Jesse was fantastic and patient in dealing with scheduling me via email--same for when it came time to explain some things to me regarding my car. It's great peace of mind trusting the hands behind those doors.

Jesse and the rest of the crew at JM Auto provide some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. They are competitively priced and do excellent work. Whether you need an oil change, or you want aftermarket parts, or if you want your car tuned this is the place to go especially if you have a Subaru.If you are thinking about getting your car tuned, Devin has been awesome to work with. He knows the cars and what they can take and what they can't. They also help put together parts lists and pre tune checklists to make it easy.10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Once again Jesse and crew comes to the rescue! Recently did a 6spd swap on my Outback and ran into fitment issues for some reason even though I did previous research; clearly not enough. Called up Jesse and crew and they mentioned it'll be a 2wk turn around, was bummed but had to take the chance because I was at a dead end. Was able to tow my Subaru to them and leave it in their care. Any chance they got to work on it I was able to get timely updates and details onto what they were doing! They ended up even going a step further and finding out I had a bad water pump! Even better they had my Subaru back in my possession in less than a week! Glad their around because I'd definitely wouldn't know what to do!

I had my Evo X scheduled at this shop for a custom tune for the first time. Devin was always super responsive with all my inquiries about the process. As I ve been around DSMs, Mitsubishi for over 2 decades, this shop is one of the best shops I ve dealt with around the suburbs. With just 800 dollars worth of bolt-on mods I installed before the tune, Devin was able to squeeze out almost 50 ponies with pump gas. Full torque at 3500 rpms is a testament to his craft. Impressive to say the least and the car drives awesome! I will be back for sure if I decide to update the turbo and go e85. Great shop and excellent customer service!

I admire Jesse for answering a lot of my questions through email and taking the time to respond in a timely fashion. A phone call would obviously be faster but I work all day and clearly don't have time for a phone call during their operating hours. It's much easier to just respond to an email whenever he has the time.If you're a Subaru owner, this shop is a go-to. Not just for your performance desires, but also for general repairs/diagnosis/maintenance. They know it all. They'll take care of your issues, and they'll repair it correctly the first time.

These guys love Subarus! They do great work at a reasonable price and it'll be ready when they say it'll be ready, if not before. The shop is clean and organized, staff are friendly and the owner is a stand-up guy. We've had Subarus for years, and now there's no reason to go anywhere else for service. I only wish I heard of them years ago!

Got my FXT tuned by Devin and I couldn't be happier with how everything went! Super interesting to watch them do the tune as well. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back again.

I love these guys. Awesome to work with, helpful beyond belief, extremely knowledgeable, and honest to a fault. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to have their car built, tuned, or modified in anyway.

Brought my old STI into JM for an inspection and to make a plan on making the car a little more modern. Jesse and his guys were very professional and thorough, they laid out a list of what the car needs, could use, and what the cost would be for both. Jesse is very down to earth regarding these cars, which is super rare these days. Ultimately had them do some repairs on the car and all were done correctly with no lingering issues. Would recommend to anyone looking for straight forward service.Service: General repairs & maintenance

JM Automotive does top notch work. My bone stock car was a mess after shoddy work at a Subaru dealership shop. Jesse responded quickly to email and voice messages. He was thorough in explaining everything that needed to be done once they diagnosed the problems. Car is running great again. Will be going back for any additional work I need done.

Jesse and his guys know their way around a Subaru engine bay. Work is done right, they're professional, and crazy efficient (your labor times will be cut in half compared to other shops). Would recommend to anyone who wants to maintain their Subaru correctly.

These guys are amazing! They did work on my brothers 2003 Mitsubishi Evolution e-85 and were extremely thorough and only suggested the work that NEEDED to be done and did everything they could to accomplish all necessary repairs needed to get the car running better than ever! Jesse is the most attentive and informative shop owner I've ever had the privilege of working with! Final outcome on the car was 420hp, wow, a whole new car! If you have a car that fits their speciality I'd highly recommend taking your car in to them! Thank you to Jesse and his team for all the great work they did and will be doing in the near future!

I'm from Pennsylvania and found this shop while looking for a E-tune. Devin was very knowledgeable and answered every question I had. I purchased a Cobb AP from him, and pricing was great. Highly recommended this shop.

JM Automotive is my go to for my Subaru s needs. Wether it be something simple I don t want to do on my own or if it s something I cannot figure out. Jesse, Nick, and his team of techs are all amazing and professional. I have dropped it off which is first come first serve and I have also made appointments for diagnostic. I have a fully built Subaru and with that comes issues. They have fixed my car 100% and if I have any questions they make it right every time! The FA20 platform isn t very known around this area and JM is the trusted spot to bring my FA subie! Super nice folks, staff seems knowledgeable. I'll definitely be tuning at least one of my cars here in the next 6 months.Update - tuned one of my cars here, and over the last 9 months I've kept and eye on their social media and have spoken with people who interacted with them. I've upgraded the rating to 5 stars -- they will bend over backwards to make sure you're happy, they are extremely honest and have incredibly fair pricing, and offer no-BS services backed by skilled, knowledgeable staff.Would recommend, would go back, and I hope JM finds continued success in their business.

Went to JM Auto to time my WRX to flex fuel. Jessie, over the phone went into great detail about how much it would cost and how long it would take. I brought my car in and they said it would be done by Monday. I called on Monday and they said it would take an additional day to complete the work because of a miscommunication on their part. Jessie sent me an email about what happened and I was very pleased with the fact that he took the blame and said he would personally make sure it got done. Well now my Subaru is running great. Would highly recommend.

Jesse is a wonderful person to work with. He s always there to answer your calls and is quick to reply. I was hesitant to buy my first turbo Subaru but after speaking with Jesse and getting the inside scoop on EJs, I was confident and knew what to look out for during my purchase. Another great experience with JM. They tuned my car about three years ago. Just brought it back to them for a forged motor build and a few other things. They got the car done in less than two weeks! Jesse and his team were excellent with communication and keeping me updated. I m still breaking it in but my car has never ran better than it is now. Nothing but good things to say about JM Automotive. I highly recommend them to anyone needing Subaru performance needs.

I have been coming to JM Automotive for years, back when they first operated out of a smaller shop in Osseo, building up their following throughout the years.Stand up gentlemen and crew here. Jesse is a wealth of knowledge and always timely in his responses, as well as always offering sound advice. I've since moved to Chicago and miss working with Jesse and his team. Can't recommend this place enough - i already tell my friends with Subarus to go here; I take my XV Crosstrek here for repairs, and Jesse is honest, the shop does good work, and everything is explained clearly. The prices are fair, especially when compared to a dealer. Suspension work, oil leaks, fluid flushes - etc - they can tackle them all!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

I worked with Jesse on my 2019 WRX, he took time out of his day to answer many questions and did a great job explaining how everything would work. I was fairly knew to what was going on and he provided great information. I would not hesitate to give them a call if your looking for a great mechanics shop especially in Suburus. Great place to get a Subaru looked at before you buy. Had mine inspected there and its been great ever since. The guy I talked to at the front desk had a bunch of great tips and information for me since it was my first WRX I have owned and I know they can be picky on what parts you put on.3YR UPDATE: I got my car tuned here about a year ago and Devin their tuner has been nothing but great to me since I got my tune. He has helped me with issues that would pop up that just needed a tiny bit of tweaking and has helped me get the codes deleted for doing a secondary air system delete. Nothing but good things from these guys.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning

JM performed a HUGE service for my Subaru WRX. New motor, tune, transmission work, suspension work. The works! you get the point. They are very professional and did an excellent job. I'm at my 1000 miles for my motor break in and the car runs like new, as you'd expect with everything done. Pricing is fair. I expected to and probably did pay a little more than at my local average joe shop, but I went in knowing I was getting service from a specialist. I had been there before for smaller services, and I am happy that I chose them for such a big project. They got my car done in a reasonable timeframe too.Services: Transmission, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning

I don't know where to start. I had a rod knock on my 08 STi and chose JM to do my rebuild. The process was smooth as butter. When I first brought my car there, there was a row of Subaru's lined up in the back.(That tells you something.) I had spoken with Jesse months prior before bringing in my vehicle and having it serviced. It was the best Service possible. He walked through every step with me, on what they had to do, what parts will be required because of a rod knock, what will need to be done after the rebuild, and what I should do in the future. When I brought in my car, they examined everything with me to make sure I had all the parts. I met the tech who worked on the car and their Tuner Devin who would give me a base tune and Protune after the rebuild finished. My build took two weeks, and I was given updates whenever I asked, and I would receive updates from Jesse if there were any problems that occurred or questions on how I wanted the vehicle to be set up. A month after having the car rebuilt, there seem to be weird issues that occurred, I had a Running Lean code, there were some issues with the new clutch that was installed, and there was a potential fuel/coolant leak. I emailed Jesse and informed him of these things and he asked me to bring the car in so they could inspect and take a look at what was going on. Usually some sort of inspections would cost a price at other shops, but Jesse didn't charge me a penny for any of this. The issues were fixed and the only thing I ended up paying for was new fuel lines that was causing the fuel leak. 5 months later, and my car is running stronger than ever. This is the only shop that I will be bringing my car to, unless they disappear from the face of the earth.If you drive a Subaru, this should be the only place you go to.
