We have been bringing our vehicles to Casper's for 25 years. The owner, Gary, is a straight shooter and has always provided us with us great service. Labor costs can be a bit high, but mechanics don't make money from selling spark plugs and break pads. The work has been consistently top-notch, and I would highly recommend this shop to anyone for auto repair.

Needed new O2 sensor and accelerator sensor for 2004 Toyota Camry. They had the job done same day for $640, parts included. Very pleased!

Gary Casper has been our mechanic for the last 8 years when we moved to Brooklyn Park, and we will never go to anyone else. He is highly skilled and he is honest. He was recommended to us by our neighbor who had gone to him for years, and our other neighbors also go to him. Never has anyone complained; everyone is more than satisfied. It is really great to find someone you can count on to take care of our car. Also, his rates are very reasonable.Services: Tires, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Air conditioning, Battery, Oil change

Highly recommended! I've taken both my cars here for work over the last 8-10 years. Gary is an honest guy, and he charges reasonable prices (always better than the big name auto shops, on every quote I've compared). When my boyfriend had major car trouble last year, we told Gary what a local Firestone had quoted him-- and Gary gave us back a quote for nearly HALF THE PRICE. So happy to have a place we trust to take care of our vehicles.

We love Gary!! He is reliable and has fixed 4 cars we have owned. His pricing is very reasonable and he always has a fast turn around. He will be honest on what needs to be fixed and when we are on a budget - he will advise what needs to be fixed first and what can wait. Before taking our first car to a Gary, a dealer had told us we needed a transmission flush. Gary asked if we pulled anything with our car. We said No. Gary pointed out that the Car Manual said - "IF you pull trailers or boats with your car, you will need to do a transmission flush. Otherwise, you don't need to ever do it!" Honesty is what we appreciated!! Thank You Gary!! You are the Best!

Gary is very, very knowledgeable. Very humble, and honest.I am a firm believer you get what you pay for. Caspers Auto prices are comparable to all other shops but, the quality of work is far better than any other. Trust me, you'll never need another Mechanic. A 1 from Day1!!!

Needed an old Subaru fixed, and found this place on the recommendation of another mechanic I called. Haven't brought it to another mechanic since. Gary's always been completely honest and straightforward, and his prices are very fair. It takes some time to get work done for big repairs (last time they had my car for three days) as it is a small outfit and they have a lot of business, but it's been worth it so far.

Gary replaced front end brakes and rotors, and a left rear wheel bearing on very short notice for our son's car He did a great job-- as always, the only auto repair place that we trust to have our cars and trucks repaired...and our kids' vehicles as well.

One word! AbsoluteTalentitious! That's my new word. I called and spoke to Garry he asked me to bring in my car that had brake job done..calipers and pads but still brakes weren't working. Garry spoke to me with Wisdom and Knowledge + understanding of cars... what could be the problem. He committed to make sure the car drives better and the pay was so so affordable compared to other 4 auto places I had gone to. You are amazing Garry keep treating your customers as precious jewels and we will always come back and refer our friends and family top to you. Job well done. Casper's Auto repair is head and shoulders above any auto service and repair company I have done business with. I have gone there for many many years and they are "THE" most fair people I have ever delt with on auto service and repair. They will not put in a part that does not need replacing, they give you an honest evaluation of your repair needed as if it was their own car. You do not find this often folks. Example..owner Gary a couple years ago called me up and gave me a readout of what they were doing . Said front brakes have 40% pad wear left. I said heck Gary what do you think...he said...you have 40% left you are good for several more miles.I have peace of mind with this team at Casper's auto repair.Orian muecke

I have brought several vehicles to Casper's over the last dozen years. The work is always top notch at a fair price. Maple Grove Auto is just down the street. They may get your vehicle repaired faster, but their prices are much higher.

I love working with Gary and John! They always do their best to help my mom and I with our VW beetles that NO ONE in town knows how to work on! They re reasonably priced, honest, and welcoming!

No longer going to Gary. Youtube him and find out that he called a customer by the N word! It's really him in the video. His prices were good but my car sat in his shop for 11months! He's just been downgraded from trusted family mechanic which we would always recommend, to racist bigot and poor customer service. Every time you call about your vehicle its one excuse after another, not worth your time to get lied to.

Everything I heard about Caspers Auto Repair is true. Decent guys to work with until something goes wrong. Then absolutely no help. Gary gets VERY defensive. Spent a lot of $$ over the last couple years their but will never step foot in the place again.

Great shop, ran by a guy who genuinely cares about the cars coming out of his place, very knowledgable and pretty cheap. On top of that, the place is never shady which is what I find from most mechanics. My family has been getting our car repairs done here for years.

Casper auto has fair pricing and usually good work by the techs. Gary, the owner can be nice and can also be very obtuse. If he does not like your questions he gets very defensive and at times starts yelling and swearing. He also uses customer vehicles to go pick up his girlfreind in Crystal on his test drives. Be careful... its hit or miss with Gary.

Casper was honest, reliable, and affordable. Then something changed. In 2012 I bought a new car, and I took the old one to Caspar to repair a few problems so I could sell it. I called several times to check on it over the next six months, and he kept telling me he would get to it within a couple weeks. He didn't call me back so I just gave up.Well his shop called me up about two years later to ask about the job. Good thing I didn't need that for transportation, huh?Maybe he's gotten serious again about being timely, but I don't want to find out anymore.

I have taken my S-10 in for repairs 3 times in the last couple years and I have found them to be reliable, friendly, timely, and the workmanship is a spot on and at a fraction of the cost. Thanks Gary and mechanics who keep me going, I highly recommend them.

I had my jeep repaired through this business via a progressive insurance rep in Fall of 2018. They put a damaged part on my vehicle which was pointed out to them during pick up. I was told that they would order a new part and replace it. Months went by without any contact from Chad the rep. I have now called several times and have been that all replacement parts have come in damaged. Each time I was told I would get a call within next few weeks, but have yet to get a call. I still have the damaged part on my car. Approaching 6 months without any follow up. Very unprofessional, I have reported them to progressive.

I went to Casper's on a referral from a trusted co worker. He had nothing but wonderful things to say and now I see why. Very friendly staff, very affordable prices. Impressive! Will use again :)
