Needed to get my brakes fixed and TGK did a great job in doing so. It's night and day how much better my car feels after the job they did. Price was reasonable and the service was very communicative and friendly.

I can't say just how awesome TGK is. Roxanne at the front desk was very kind to me and my children. The pricing was on point with my expectations. The service to my vehicle was top-notch. Everything about their team came together as a smoothly run company. Will absolutely recommend them.

Have been here multiple times for oil changes. They do an excellent job and are very fair pricing. Everyone is very kind and they have a great comfortable waiting area with snacks and beverages not to mention extra diapers in the bathroom. It s little things like that, that make a huge difference. Highly recommend!

I've had a variety of maintenance and repair work done here over the years. TGK service is always prompt and friendly, and prices are fair. Staff provide clear explanations if needed. I highly recommend TGK!

Their service was fast and the technician I worked with was very thorough with explaining everything that they did.Deducted one star because I didn't get an inspection report that they said they already sent, detailing what was wrong with my car before they fixed it. I expected to be contacted first to verify what they found, but that didn't happen. I did suspect what needed to be done, but I would be upset if I didn't know ahead of time and they just fixed it.

Be careful. They charge $180 just to give you an estimate. Never told me in advance that they do this!! Want to charge me over 5 grand to fix a car worth 3 grand. Duh, I'd rather buy a new car, which I did!

I see you reply from my review about TGK Automotive in Mankato, MN. If you take customer satisfaction seriously and strive to provide accurate estimates and clear communication to your customers, you would provide me a refund of the difference from the quote and actual cost that I paid with my credit card. The quote I got from verifying with the supervisor twice over the phone was $136.49. The charge on my credit card after the work was completed was $240.50. Workorder # 44565. If you want to do it right and professionally, please refund my credit card $104.01. Below is the google review that I sent yesterday. If you provide customer satisfaction, you will provide the refund of the credit card of $104.01. Let me know if you are able to provide the refund of $104.01 to the credit card.From the Google Review:I own a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander and I live two hours away from TGK Automative in Mankato. I called a couple of weeks ago to make an appointment to install a rear wiper motor and wiper blade. They gave me an estimate over the phone which was $136.49. I also called back a few days ago to verify the price and appointment time, which again the price was $136.49. I gave them my vehicle information which they asked for the year, make, and model over the phone. I also confirmed on both calls that I already had the parts and only needed an installation. So, when I arrived today at TGK Automative in Mankato, they doubled the price which I was quoted for a few days ago and a couple weeks ago to verify a price from a Supervisor. I purchased the parts from a Mitsubishi dealership. When I arrived, they mentioned to me that they charged an extra $50 for brining your own parts and they said the price is higher because it's determined by the year, make, and model. They never said to me they charge $50 dollars over the phone for bringing the parts. And the estimate over the phone, was verified by a supervisor and I gave them my vehicle like they said. The frustrating part is I got quoted for a price of $136.49 and it was verified by different people including a supervisor and calling on different days just to be sure. I drove two hours away because I know the technicians at TGK Mankato do an amazing job. If I knew they were going to charge double amount they originally quoted me, I would have done it locally and not traveled two hours away. Fricken Ridiculious! Poor Customer Service and Communication. Beware: They are Crooks. They will charge you more than they quote you for. Be sure to get a written quote instead a verbal quote. I will never go back and hopefully they lose customers due to my review. Thank you for reading!

I have had several car issues repaired here and regular oil changes. Always a good experience. I recently took my car into the shop due to a new, odd noise. The mechanics checked it over and they were not able to find any issues. I appreciate their honesty and the time they took to review my concern, despite them being very busy. I will be back for other maintenance and repairs. They have excellent customer service.

Originally called and set up an appointment for 12/08/23. The lady on the phone told me she had a 2pm appointment open I could take. I told her that I worked at discount tire and that I would be dropping the vehicle off before they opened and that I would pick it up after they closed and could pay over the phone. I dropped it off at 7am on my way to work called to verify my appointment at 7:30 right when they opened, the salesmen told me we were all good to go and they d call me for payment when it was ready. Called at about 5pm to see what the status would be and the salesman told me he had no idea what I was talking about and that they would not finish it tonight and that there was no ticket even created for me or my vehicle. Kind of disappointed that the company I work for recommends these guys all the time and they can t even figure out what s going on let alone work on my vehicle. Sadly won t be recommending to any one and just surprised they weren t more open to figure out a solution for me or my vehicle

I have had 4 appointments with TGK and I couldn t be happier. They were timely and very helpful with everything. I know next to nothing about cars but I never felt cheated out of money and they took the time to explain everything to me in a way that made sense. My latest repair was pretty expensive, they offered to take $100 off my bill, without me even asking. Not saying you ll get $100 off your service but you ll be well taken care of. I would highly recommend to anyone needed car service/maintenance.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair, Transmission repair, Brakes, Oil change

Staff was friendly and courteous .. They went above and beyond to accommodate my requests!..They even let me bring my own brand of Oil in, and reduced the normal cost of the Oil change by 5 qts. of Full Synthetic Oil,.. which I appreciated very much! .. I'm a Quaker State guy! ..

Will most definitely never be coming here again. Made an appointment to get my tires changed, and before the appointment they told me what tires to order after I told them what tires needed to be replaced. Came for my appointment, they waited 35minutes to tell me they don t remember what tire they were suppose to change. After that it took them another 40 minutes for me to walk up to someone at the desk and ask why they are taking so long just so they can informed me it was the wrong tire we ordered and the had to give us a different tire. All that took them 1hr 35minutes to get done while I had class to be in.

Great place to service your vehicles. They are easy to communicate with via text, have the best oil change prices in town ($30 less than I was paying at another place), and they have the best waiting area with great snacks.

Customer service was excellent. Only problem was they didn t put in a blinker bulb that was requested and if they did, it still doesn t work. Other than that, we are in the cities and it was our sons car that had broken down in mankato and they were very helpful in helping him get his car into the shop and working again. I d definitely recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I don't take my vehicles here often, but the service I have had has been amazing. They are thorough with their inspections. A tech made a mistake with my vehicle and did a small amount of damage to it. TGK called me and immediately took full responsibility. They worked with a body shop to have the damage evaluated and repaired. Mistakes happen. The way businesses handle their mistakes matters more to me than the mistakes they've made. 5 stars to TGK for taking responsibility and ensuring that the mistake was handled well.

The technicians, the service writers, and especially the manager here care about you and your vehicle. They make sure you know what s going on with your vehicle without charging you an arm and a leg.The technicians are quite knowledgeable and are good with diagnostics and tracking down the issues. The oil changes are fairly quick. I was there for less than an hour and they did a full inspection and oil change. You get a detailed report in an email or text that shows you exactly what they see and why they recommend a service or repair.They advertise loaner vehicles or pickup/drop off, but I did not use this.Definitely a great, friendly place to go without having to worry about being overcharged or taken advantage of.

TGK is great. We appreciated all the hard work finding the issue and the up front service provided. Very honest company and staff. We decided not to move forward with the internal engine fix, due to the cost outweighing the overall value of the vehicle. However, we have had a spectacular experience with all parties involved. Ladies beware! I went to get an oil change in April on my 2016 suv and it started going downhill once I got there. They told me that my oil was bubbly and that I had to pay 20 bucks for them to fix it. Not knowing what that meant and assuming they had my cars best interest in mind, I said okay. After calling my dad afterwards, bubbles in the oil are normal right after use, and I just drove 15 minutes there, so duh it would have bubbles. Okay, whatever I get pushing product, however I don t know how ethical it is to put someone on the spot and tell them that they need to have something done to their car when they don t know cars or what their car needs, but I digress. After the oil change I went home, no issues. Until I went over a speed bump. The wonderful people at TGK had forgotten to reinstall my air dam correctly so it fell down over the bump and started making this horrible rattling noise as it was scraping the pavement. I call TGK, no answer. I call again, no answer. I call my mom who is up in the cities because we take our cars to the TGK there, so she calls our branch who had to call Mankato to get them to pick up. She then explained the situation to the people at Mankato and the lady was very helpful (the one star goes out to you lady, thank you). Long story short I was without my car for a day and they had to come pick my car up and drive it back to TGK with the air dam down, scraping the whole way back. Definitely not a great experience and would recommend not coming to this branch, go to North Mankato.

This is a family owned business and the staff treats you like good family. Will highly recommend TGK to all my friends and family. They listen to your concerns and questions and then fulfill them with the appropriate actions and keep in mind your cost. I seriously trust TGK of Mankato, Minnesota with my Mini and wouldn't think of taking anywhere else.
