Ken is very knowledgeable of vehicles, he doesn't try to oversell you on services that are unnecessary, and his prices are very fair. I would highly recommend this place to anybody.

Modern garage is always great to work with, they don't try and push extra things on to you that your car "needs". Ken and his crew are very easy to work with and tell you like it is. I will keep going back for all my car needs.

These guys were awesome. I just went in because I thought the electrical for my passenger side headlight was out of whack. They fixed this perfectly and put back together the front end I left in disarray. (Way cheaper than I thought it would be.) On top of this, they noticed my check engine light was on and did a diagnostic, and checked my fuel lines without charging me anything! They noted on my invoice that if the check engine light comes back to let them know and they'll take another look. It was probably the single best mechanic I've ever been to! Joe & his staff were so easy to work with! From the appointment set up to getting the work done and the explanation of the issue, they were all very through and patient. They built trust quickly and maintained the same quality service through each step of the way. Also - I'm not a cat person, but the one in the office was a sweet friend to help pass the time!

Always excellent customer service. Professional, quick and friendly. I've been here twice now for my car and they gave me good prices for the repairs needed, and on my second repair I waited around in the lobby and worked on homework. One of the employees was very considerate when he noticed this and shut the doors so it would be quieter. If that isn't top tier customer service I don't know what is, its really the little things that makes their customer service 5 stars!

Joe Miller's has a very small town feel and great service. If requested, they will give you a cost range for repair & service. If you're on a budget, they keep you informed of which fixes are necessary versus those that aren't immediately necessary. They always explain what's going on with your car clearly and run through a summary of the work they did on your car before you pay. This is my go-to place for all maintenance and fixes because they are thorough and affordable.

Stop forcing people to use your overpriced parts. If I bring in a part of my own that I want you to install because I do not have the tools at home you can charge me labor at a proper rate I don't care but if you want to try and charge me several hundred $ extra for a part and then several hundred for labor you're ridiculous! Grow up!

So helpful and I know I'm not being taken advantage of. I have been working with Ken for over twenty years. He is honest about what my car needs and doesn't suggest something just to make a buck. I have confidence in their work and trust they will be fair and do a good job.

They fix what needs to be fixed the first time and don't add extra items. Pricing is fair and reasonable. I feel very comfortable taking all our vehicles here for repair and drive past other shops to do so.

This is my 5th time using Joe Miller's Modern Garage. They fixed something that puzzled many people who tried to solve a window problem. When they found out the piece was going to cost $300 they worked to clean up and fix the old part. They saved me the $300. Always pleasant working with them. I tell anyone who needs mechanical work to go to Joe's.

I get all my car repairs and oil changes done here. As a woman, I trust all they guy's here and have never felt taken advantage of. The waiting area isn't fancy but it's clean and you'll be listening to Classical NPR. There is even a shop kitty who will come out and visit with you.

I've been into Miller's several times over the years and have always left happy (well as happy as you can be after having to fix something). They've always correctly and quickly diagnosed the problem, and fixed the problem at a fair price. Kind of a hidden gem tucked up on Madison Avenue, I always refer my friends there knowing they'll be treated as honestly and fairly as I have been over the years.

Joe does a fantastic job. His work is top notch, and well worth the drive from the twin cities to Mankato. His labor cost is very reasonable, and he will tell you what needs to be fixed, what will or should be fixed, and what is safe to live with.

I worked for Joe back during college, once I got my career going I still brought cars back to him and will always highly recommend him to all my Mankato friends. Fair rates and an "Only the best work is tolerated" was the theme in working with both him and Ken.Keep it up joe!-Stu

Wouldn't give me the time of day on the phone to figure out the issue. Rude and crude. Would not use this service ever again.
