Honesty and expertise are what they thrive on. They aren't there to clean out your bank account. Kevin is the best person to talk to for your transmission needs. He and his techs will provide you with excellent service at a great price. High quality parts and knowledgeable techs is what you'll find here. They broke down all of my options and showed me everything at different price points. They're old fashioned and that's just fine with me.

Amazing Services Kevin was very helpful always trying to find the best deal for me. Also gave me a new customer discount which made a huge difference for us.We had an issue on the AC and he was so honest to let us know that it wasn't a problem at all it was just a plastic piece that was stuck on the ac motor.walking the extra mile with the us, highly RecommendThank you !

The gentleman I dealt with, Kevin, was extremely helpful. When the parts he replaced didn't entirely fix the issue the car was having, he investigated further and found one more part that needed to be replaced. He offered to replace the part and not charge for labor since the problem was not fully identified during the first diagnostic. I searched the cost for the parts that he had replaced and was very pleased to see that Kevin was charging me very much on the lower end of average. Aside from that, I called on a Tuesday before Memorial Day and Kevin was able to squeeze me in that same Thursday to get my car looked at. I have tried at least 5 different mechanic shops in town throughout the years, and this was BY FAR the best experience I've had. AAMCO will definitely be my go to repair shop going forward.

Well, we finally had weather so I could test the repair job that Kevin and his staff did for me. The 4-wheel drive unit works great now. Kevin, like I said when I was leaving your shop, you are now on my short list of people to contact when I have any car issues. Thanks again for presenting me with all of the options available to me and watching out for my expenses as if they were your own Thanks again Kevin!

Quality of work and craftsmanship, old school care for the customer like it should be, and honesty are what you are going to get here above any other shop in the area. Longtime owner, Kevin always shows concern for your wallet with detailed information and explanations. There is a reason AAMCO has been around Mankato for so long..with mechanics and builders like Kyle and Mark you are getting an opportunity to have people with a huge amount of experience and passion take care of you. Everyone has their own go-to shops and mechanics, but the guys here are definitely top-tier. If you aren't a car person, you don't have to be afraid of being price gouged or taken advantage of.

I was referred by my mechanic friend to go to AAMCO or AUTOTRONICS of Mankato for my transmission issue. I rec'd an estimate from AUTOTRONICS of ($5300.00) That estimate was $$THOUSANDS$$ ABOVE the prices i researched online. They charged me $83 for there Ripoff diagnosis estimate ~I truely believe Aututronics are mechanical CROOKS! I then went to AAMOCO & met with owner Kevin and we discussed my transmission issues at great length. I felt good about Kevin & his expertise explainig transmission problems. Made an appointment & Kevin thru his diagnostic testing revealed my transmission was burnt up and not rebuild able. Kevin invited me to the shop to show me Why' my transmission was unserviceable.He gave me a few options & pricing that were all Comparable with my online research pricing. In fact he was Less Expensive!Picked my repaired car up ahead of his scheduled completion date.Total cost was just under $2600.00Less than half the estimated cost of AUTOTRONICS of Mankato.My car is running great along with a warranty.Highly recommend AAMCO & owner Kevins expertise & $PRICING$Service: Transmission

Kevin is the man!! I ran into a transmission problem while moving across the country, but was lucky to have stopped in Mankato: Not only were Kevin and his team able to fit us into an already busy schedule for a thorough check-up on the car to make sure it was safe to drive, they also took the time to walk me through the findings of their inspection to make sure I knew what repairs eventually would need to be addressed when I arrived at my destination. So grateful for their honesty, friendliness, time, and care! While car troubles can be stressful, you can be sure that these guys will get you and your vehicle safely back on the road.

I am not impressed with this company. Each time I give them an opportunity to help they disapoint me. The last time they were going to help my son work on a transmission. They said they would take it appart for him and help out at no charge. One they got it appart they wanted to charge $95 to put it back together. We opted to do it ourselves but they kept some of the parts so now we have to order those also. Granted they are only a few dollars but I will never take anything back here. Snell Motors has helped my son 10x more than Aamco. They also believed they rebuilt the transmission that we were working on. The one they rebuilt lasted just over the warranty and failed. I had another one put in after not by them. This is also the company that backed my old black Ford Ranger into their hoist after they replaced the clutch. I have given them more than one opportunity and they have failed more than once. Stear clear. Update June 2019. We gave you plenty of opportunities. I even gave you the opportunity to do the work but at the price you gave me I could buy a new transmission and install myself for less. You didnt work with my son like you said and caused more damage taking things appart and mixing up parts. My son rebuilt it without any of your help then the pump failed. We went to D&D Transmissions in Fairmont and they went through it with him showed him how to test and put time into our future mechanics. If this is how you treat the future you dont need any more of my business. I gave you 3 or 4 opportunities to step up and you failed on each.

Exceptional service! Very helpful in explaining everything that's going on. Unfortunately in my case, it wasn't the transmission that was the problem, but would recommend them to everyone. Prices are reasonable also.
