Do NOT buy a vehicle from here!!! Worst customer service around! Bought a vehicle with a We Promise to fix a heated seat that didn t work. Almost a year later, it still isn t fixed and we keep getting the run around. We are finally taking it to our Ford dealership, having them get the correct parts and install them and told them to bill Herman Motor for everything. Hopefully they get paid! Again, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SHADY DEALERSHIP!!!

The staff at Herman Motors was very informative, kind, and thorough when dealing with my son s Ford focus. There was an extended warranty on the transmission control module that needed to be replaced. They kept me informed on delays in part delivery and once part was delivered they replaced it very quickly. They also were willing to store my sons vehicle for four months while waiting for the replacement part. I highly recommend Herman motors !

I was on vacation when a service light came on that needed attention. I have a 2016 Winnebago with a Ford Transit as the chassis. I inquired at the service desk and they were able to take it in right away. About an hour later they had fixed the issue and had me back on the road! Now that is Great Customer Service! Thank you to Herman Motors!!

DONT WAIST YOUR TIME AT THIS SHOP!Brought my truck there to fix transmission fluid leak, first told me the transmission was empty and needed to be filled to find the leak, they said the " they were barely able to get it to drive into the shop" . Next day they said It was fixed and the reason it leaked is because the transmission was overfilled at the last transmission service which was 5 months ago... (odd it would be acting up now) $250 to drain fuild out. Picked up "fixed" truck last night , it made it 20 min before leaking again.. called service manager to get a refund because they had not fixed the problem, was told that was not an option and they would take another look.. So i called a transmission shop for second opinion and they laughed when I told them what this dealership found as the "problem".Poor troubleshooting, and poor customer service.

If I could give a lower rating I would. An issue with my vehicle was brought to their attention for diagnosis and to be fixed. The service department was informed of what was already known to be wrong with the vehicle and what was unknown along with the likely suspect. Regardless the techs working there focused on what I had already identified as not causing the issue at hand. Over the 6 or so hours the vehicle was there, nothing could be found by the techs. Upon returning the vehicle to my home it was parked INSIDE a neighbors garage by whoever drove it back. After being told they could not find the issue in the entire day they had it I referred to a different shop and discussed the issue with them giving the same information given to Herman. Within 5 minutes and without even having the vehicle there my issue was diagnosed and I myself fixed the issue. (Note that I even offered to pay this shop their diag. Fee for their time because they actually diagnosed it.)I was billed nearly $140 from Herman for being told the same thing I had already told them. After a phone call with Kelly Herman it was made clear to me that everything I have heard about this business is true, and it isn t worth going to. They were willing to reduce the bill to $100 for looking at it and saying we don t know what s wrong with it.If not paid Kelly made it clear she d take it to court. My bill was paid by someone other than myself who didn t want to see me go through the trouble of fighting this nonsense in court.Let me put it this way:I would rather have paid $140 or even the reduced $100 to pay for a sign that says not to go to Herman motors than fund this woman s ego.

Okay~ sorry guys, I'm getting this up really late!Driving to Rochester , Minnesota from Colorado. We accidentally put unleaded in our diesel truck .Not only did we do that , we filled it and drove about 20 miles before the truck pretty much shut down.Herman motors was amazing, they didn't make fun of us for our mistake or talk down to us, they were so kind and ready to help. They actually emptied the fuel tank , cleaned out all the lines and everything, and somehow got it to work.Just amazing people, lol, I'm sure if they read this they will remember who we are :) Thanks guys!

Broke down while on vacation heading home from South Dakota to Vermont. Was towed in at 830 they had me back on the road by lunch. Great experience, polite, professional, knowledgeable staff. Jake the technician obviously knows his stuff, Kellie was very understanding of my situation and squeezed me right in. Very happy with the price, do not feel at all taken advantage of, would recommend!!

We are traveling across country in our Pleasure-Way OnTour 2.2 Class B Van and had discovered water underneath the cab floor mats on both driver and passenger side. Found this Ford dealer with a Service Center passing through Lucerne, MN and decided to stop and ask if they could take a look at it. They graciously accommodated us and we were in and out in less than 2 hours. Problem was plugged A/C drain. Great service!

We bought a very nice used car and the price was fair. However the car was not detailed. We asked them to clean it up and they vacuumed it for 5 or 10 minutes. My wife spent 10 hours cleaning out a 2012 car! If you spend 20000$ on a car it should be clean. Still have not received second key. Salesman was a little shady.

Bought a vehicle from dealer and the same day we found out that the axle was broken and their (certified ford techs didn t catch it) $300. Didn t even own it a month and the transfer case went out $1700 repair. I asked them to pay the 300 for the item they missed in their inspection and they said they would call me back and no call back. I call them and they are extremely rude. I m not one to complain about bad situations but this is the most unprofessional group of people I have worked with. Do not purchase a car through them.

We received a new vehicle to use while ours was repaired. We went to a local restaurant and ate. They told us it would take approximately 2 hours to install the parts. When we went back they were figuring up the bill. Very satisfied with their service.

Went to get the battery for my car fob replaced, tested it and realized it still didn t work. Was told they would need to re-marry it to the car. After being there for half an hour they bring the key back and tell me it still won t work because it s off brand but I still owe them $70. Spent $74 total with the new battery and for them to look at just to get back to the same place I started. I get it, reserve the right to charge what you want but the whole situation just seems a bit ridiculous.

My husband took our Escape into the service station to have the oil changed for the first time after our purchase of the vehicle. The staff who changed the oil told my husband that the oil filter was really dirty. We bought our 2019 Escape as a used car with 19,000 miles. We paid for the 90 point check for an extended warranty. We would have thought the oil would have been changed at that time prior to our picking up the vehicle for the first time. Was this not done? If not, how many other points were ignored?

In 15 years of driving this is the first vehicle I have bought from a dealership and I had such a great experience, I'm glad I went with Herman Motor Co! Their staff is very friendly and approachable and their pricing really can't be beat. Highly recommend!

Herman Motors is almost in the center of Luverne, MN, just 25 miles from Sioux Falls. It is family owned and run, and you really get that sense if you spend any time there. I've had the opportunity to really get to know their business practices in the last few months as we have tried to figure out a faulty sensor. When we finally got to the source of the problem, it turned out it was in one of the main computer modules. The technician could have just replaced it and handed me the bill, but instead, they went out of their way to make sure everything was reprogrammed and updated so the whole system worked together! In the end, they ended up fixing the initial sensor issue, and about 4 other problems I didn't realize were linked. Best part - they did it all for the cost I was quoted initially! That was DEFINITELY worth the drive!

The staff went out of their way to get me into the truck I wanted and gave me a fair trade in. Everyone here is genuine and friendly. I've dealt with Ford in Sioux Falls before, and they don't even compare to Herman when it comes to customer service.

Our story with Herman Motors in Luverne, MN...Kelsey found a car she was interested in and she and Gene took it for a test drive.* The Service Engine light came on during that test drive...hmm, said the salesman...we'll take care of that.*We'd like to have the car checked out by our auto service company. Is that going to be a problem...driving it in to SF to have it checked out? No...of course thats fine. You know, we're kind of slow during February...I could drive it into SF for you, no problem.Great...we think. They drive it into SF to be checked out and a Miracle happens between Luverne and Sioux Falls...when our tech checks out the car...no service engine light. Another problem shows up, and will cost her about 1500 to fix in the near future, but she decides the price of the car, plus the fix is still worth it, and she decides to buy the car.*She's so excited to go sign the paper work and pick up her car! She and Gene are driving the car home...and The Miracle un-happens ... about 30 miles down the road, the Sevice Engine light comes on...and flashes. Right then, Gene called the dealership because Kelsey was driving. Gene was instructed to take the car to a certain auto repair shop once they got into Sioux Falls. That auto repair store said, it was fine, its just an old code, its fine to drive, no problem.Great! (we thought)*That night we happened to be at an event with our own auto service friend and when Kelsey was asked how she liked her car, she told him the story of bringing it home, the light coming on, the light flashing, and that she was told it was an old code and all was good.*Sinking heart. It was not an old code...that wouldn't show up like that. She shouldn't drive it, ESPECIALLY since the sevice light was flashing. We need to take it back in to see whats going on.*Cylinder problem in the engine...$2500+ to fix. When they get in there, could double if the other cylinder is also bad.*Kelsey called the salesman...sorry, can't help you.*Gene calls and speaks to salesman, and then finance guy. The car is yours, there's nothing we're going to do. Gene says, he has no choice but to consult an attorney, to which he is told...good luck.*We start investigating and find out Minnesota does not have lemon laws on used cars. The dealer has no legal obligation to help us...we're pretty stuck.*Gene decides to make one final call, and calls the owner, to see if he can make this right and save his reputation. "The law says..." is how the owner responds . I know what the law says, said Gene, I just thought I'd give you one last chance to make this right. No go. The law is on his side. Morally...doesn't matter to them. We're telling the story now, so that we can stop talking about it, stop the anxiety and move on. We do want to let our SF friends know what an awful experience we had with this dealership and warn you to beware.

After the incident with Kelsey and your subsequent Facebook response ...Still disappointed and quite frankly angry and disgusted... not sure that that is an appropriate public statement. I'm fairly certain that both of Kelsey's parents gave you plenty of opportunities to make this right. We have purchased more than 10 used cars in our 14 years of marriage. Only one lemon that our small dealership fixed with zero second thought. We not only thanked them, but went on to share our story with our social media pages, GAINING him business. You had the perfect opportunity to get positive feedback verses this. Lastly, maybe the overwhelming response from those that love this family should show you just how wonderful they are. No one deserves this treatment, however you will find there is no one kinder then the entire Moser family!Shame on you and your barely save face Facebook post. You know how to reach out to this family. You absolutely did so wrong by this... Yuck

Drove an hour and a half. They forgot to mention the vehicle had a salvage title? Sounded like a lumber wagon down the road. Called and asked plenty of questions about shape and issues. Said nothing about all that. Nice on the phone though Unbelievable...

They sell very low quality used vehicles. I bought a pickup from them and within a year the transmission went out and the motor went bad. They also sell extra things when you purchase that aren t necessary. Will never buy a vehicle from them again.

Shady doesn t even begin to describe this delearship. Deceptive from the beginning and only out to make a buck regardless of who they have to take advantage of. No morals or ethics. I am completey disgusted with the company! You are the reason car guys get a bad name!
