My boyfriend and I absolutely LOVED our stay here! We stayed in the forest room and appreciated how clean and cozy it was. The jacuzzi was amazing, beds were very comfy, and there was a nice selection of fruit, juices, and pastries for breakfasts. We had never been to Lanesboro until this Valentines weekend trip, so we enjoyed taking in the town and enjoying the Lovebirds in Lanesboro specials at nearby businesses. Such a wonderful town, nice and quiet but plenty to see and do. We went for some walks on the trails nearby, ate at the local restaurants, and enjoyed some beverages at the brewery. Overall, we can t wait to return to Lanesboro and stay at Stone Mill once again!Rooms: Fantastic room options based on the size and vibe you re looking for. Highly recommend one of the suites, as it holds a wonderful jacuzzi.Nearby activities: Nice options for dining including Clara s eatery for pizza and ice cream, Pedal Pushers Cafe for a variety of meal options, and more. For beverages, Sylvan Brewery had some great beers on tap and Granny s Liquor store with plenty of options. We enjoyed Paddle on Coffee for a morning brew.Walkability: Everything is within a 5-10 minute walk with opportunity to go further on scenic walking trails.

We stayed in the family sweet and it was a great stay. Although we found a used coffee filter the first day we came. And the light switch situation was confusing. The room didn t have any noise which I love considering the fact u don t get that much with hotels. I recommend staying here but I would check your room to make sure everything is clean. Thank you Stone Mill for the stay!Rooms: The rooms are cool and characteristic! Each room has a different theme and style! Checking my family in and having them see the theme was a blast!!!

We loved our stay here! We stayed in the egg room and enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and the fact the room was nice an quiet as it was originally used to keep ice and perishables when the mill was in operation. All the staff were very nice and very knowledgeable on the Mill and Lanesboro in general.Breakfast included pastries from a local bakery and they were some of the best I have ever had.Overall we loved our time here and hope to come back soon!

Can I give this place stars x s Infinity?!!!!My husband and I celebrated our first decade of marriage together and he booked the Egg suite for us and it was PERFECT Super quiet and private and that s thanks to the super thick walls. At one time the space was known as the ice room. Many items that were part of the mill while it was still operating are there and many of the wall hangings tell the history of the place! There s a two person jacuzzi in the room shaped kind of like a heart and then a two person shower separate from that plus a desk for work, a comfy king size bed, coffee and a refrigerator along with beautiful, minimalistic decor and a large closet area. If you have family or kids you can also rent the back room known as the Hen suite which has 2 twin size beds in there a sink and toilet and a walk through door. Super dark for bed time. Just outside from the private entrance in back you also get your own private patio with a table and two chairs. We enjoyed getting to know the staff who are so friendly and kind. They love hospitality and do a wonderful job showing that. The breakfast area is beautiful and the food is delicious. There s a front patio as well and it is close to one of the bike trails. There s a private shed the hotel has where you can lock up your bikes at night. We also had a motorcycle with us along with our car and they told my hubby he could put it in the shed for safety. Wow so nice of them! We loved our stay the bike trails floating down the river and trying out some restaurants. We highly recommend Pedal pushers cafe! Delicious and healthy meals. They even have several GF options. We can t wait to come back to the egg suite! This is our spot now to get away. We hope to come back again when there s a play at the theatre going on

Over the years of going to Lansboro, Minnesota to bike the trails and enjoy Root River, we ve had tours and opportunities to get to know Richard Lamon, co-owner of the Stone Mill. The town is an ideal day trip for travel and leisure for Twin Cities residents. If you are looking to spend a few days (or week), I highly recommend the gracious accommodation of the Stone Mill Hotel and Suites. The original part dates back at least to 1884 and has been beautifully restored after an early fire. During warm months, the front patio has cheerful summer plantings. Two things stand out Their passion for offering the best customer service and cleanliness. The rooms that we ve toured are delightful and reflective of this historic building s treasured past and critical role in the community. The breakfast is very good - cold cereal, hard-boiled eggs, juices, several types of chewy, fresh scones, and other baked goods, as well as toast, fruit, yogurt, and several varieties of coffee, are available. It's fun to learn why they named their premium room "Buffalo Bill". Buffalo Bill happened to, on the spur of the moment, with his doctor friend put on a show. Only about one mile out of Lansboro, was the first show. Under the back of the mill, which once was on stilts, is now a suite named Buffalo Bill. Each suite is unique and decorated in period style. The Egg Jacuzzi Suite & Hen House room has a nice private entrance, as well as the Buffalo Bill room. I also think the Fishing Room is exceptional. Each suite is unique and decorated period sytle. The Egg Jacuzzi Suite & Hen House room has a nice private entrance, as well as the Buffalo Bill room. I also think the Fishing Room is exceptional. The owners of Stone Mill are exceptional people, I highly recommend taking time to converse with Richard. They have thoughtfully prepared a back patio for small events, private parking, and a bike storage building that is kept locked with access to hotel guests.A special place to visit all seasons. A wonderful town in the heart of beautiful Amish countryside.

I would give this Inn 100 if I could! The cleanliness of the rooms was something you don't see at any chain hotels anymore. From the moment we checked in, to the moment we checked out, we felt like we were home. I thought there was no way to have so many great Google reviews until I saw why. The love put into every inch of the Inn is absolutely wonderful. The morning breakfast has pastries from the local shop. So delicious! Bobby was fun to chat with while he kept the room in order. Rick (the owner) had a smile on his face at all times. I don't know when we'll be back, but we'll be sure to be back someday!

This place is great. We stayed in the bicycle room very cute and comfortable. The staff here are very pleasant, and we had some wonderful conversation with the man who set out breakfast for us in the morning. We accidentally left our iPad in the room when we checked out, and they were so kind about mailing it back to us, since driving back almost three hours to get it would have been tough. Also, if you're down in this area and you've never been to Four Daughters Winery, be sure to check that out. They have excellent wine and food. Overall, our stay was awesome, and I would recommend the Stone Mill to anyone looking for a nice bed and breakfast getaway.

We were pleasantly surprised by the level of cleanliness of our room and the bathrooms in this wonderfully, remodeled mill from the 1800's. The inn keepers were so hospitable, going out of their way to accommodate members of our book club group. The continental breakfast included the most wonderful pastries for a local shop. Lanesboro is so much fun and worth another visit.

We enjoy biking and had never been to the Lanesboro area so we hit the internet to plan our trip. The Stone Mill Inn looked interesting ,so we booked a stay there. Looking back on our stay, I think we hit upon the crown jewel of the area. From the moment we walked in, we new we would enjoy our stay. We were greeted by the owner, and he could not have been more welcoming. He gave us an overview of the area and the Inn and then personally escorted us to our rooms. The rooms were each well appointed, very clean, comfortable and unique. The Inn had several indoor and outdoor areas to gather with our friends and relax. Unknown to us when we booked our stay, the Inn even provided an indoor, secured area for bike storage. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations and we plan on making our trip to Lanesboro and a stay at the Stone Mill Inn an annual event. Thanks to owners and staff at the Stone Mill Inn on providing us with an amazing introduction to the Lanesboro area and a very comfortable place to stay.

My family and really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed 1 night in the Farm Loft Suite. The couple that takes care of the place were so friendly and accommodating. We were in town to bike the trails, and it was nice to find out that they also have secure, locked bike storage. Altho the beds were firm, I slept like a baby. There is a micro-brewery right across the street. So we grabbed some beers there and walked back to the Stone Mill Suites. They have a great patio to hang out at and relax. The continental breakfast was also delicious and hit the spot. Cant wait to visit again next year!

Stone Mill Inn is filled with charm from the people right down to the walls of the refurbished mill. Clean, quaint, lovely outdoor patio with flowers and fresh strawberries and cherry tomatoes for guests to pick away at. Locked bike storage is a plus. Location couldn't be better if you want to take in all the Lanesboro has to offer without driving.

A wonderful, totally unique place to stay. The hosts were incredibly welcoming! The entire building offers interesting architecture and fun aspects, including lovely local soaps and lotions. We had a fantastic time here and will definitely be back!

We stayed in the Forest Suite. The room was exceptionally clean (THANK YOU!!!, I ve been so many other places where they don t care) and comfortable. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub after the first day of biking - very relaxing. We are visiting before Memorial Day, so the town is quiet, but that s what has been so good about it - it s made us slow down and relax. The price was worth the quality and pride. I recommend for those who want to get away, slow down and enjoy a beautiful area of MN.

Great price for the room. Love the high ceilings and love that it actually has character unlike regular hotel rooms. Super friendly staff, Anne and Rick are great!! Only thing is that you can hear so very clearly through the walls when your neighbors shower.
