I love this shop, the honesty and reasonable pricing. Erik is always upfront and honest about what my car needs and doesn't need. To me this is a plus knowing my car can be trusted with a shop that does the right thing. Erik knows how to take care of his customers. Thanks again for all you do!!

Transmission went out on my 2019 Tahoe. Got some high bids from a couple other places that would take at least 2 weeks to complete. Found Erik and his bid was much better PLUS he does the rebuild so no wait of 2 weeks to get it in from somewhere else. PLUS he came to pick it up. Was done in ~24 hours! Very prompt communication all along, too. Very pleased.

Travelling home (to Kansas) and check engine light comes on. Found Erik from a google search. Pulled in, explained the issues I'd been having during the trip. They were able to get me in, diagnose, get the parts (ignition coils), get me fixed up and on my way. They even apologized to ME for the wait! They are humble, transparent, and helpful. Was referred to Erik by someone and couldn t be happier with the service we received. The transmission on my Silverado was completely shot and he rebuilt/replaced entire thing for HALF what another local shop said they could do it for and even attached a warranty to it.Also, the truck was acting up again and I thought it was transmission related. Brought it back to him and he determined it was just the spark plug wire that was loose/unplugged. Plugged it back in for me and didn t charge a penny for anything additional.I would recommend him and his shop to anyone needing transmission work.Service: Transmission

Erik and his crew do an amazing job. My son and I dropped the transmission by ourselves and brought it to Erik to rebuild. He was completed within a week. Unbelievable response time and super friendly. Once we got the transmission back in the truck he told me to drop it off so he can check it all over to make sure everything looks good. Prices are comparable and definitely worth it. I will definitely be using Erik again if I ever have a transmission that needs fixing again. Thank you so much for your efforts.David

(After a year update; 1 star from 5 (drove the vehicle less than 2000 miles after getting transmission supposedly rebuilt, transmission crapped -out. ); they can do transmission repair and replacement with a quick turn-around.

Awesome and prompt service. We were traveling from Wisconsin to Colorado and our truck was overheating. We tried 9 different places around the area begging for someone to schedule us in right away, and Erik was the only one who moved his schedule to accommodate us. His staff located the issue and had us fixed and ready to roll in no time, and all at unbelievable low price. Highly knowledgeable. Great attitude. Great prices. Wish he was in Wisconsin!

Honest, knowledgeable and great customer service! I have used Eirk's Transmission & Auto Repair for years - I had 2 transmissions replaced with no issues and the 3 year warranty is the best in the business. I have since used them for other auto repairs with affordable & reliable service. My Brother and Son use them also. The staff is OUTSTANDING and TRUSTWORTHY ! I spoke with Erik over the phone about the symptoms my step van is having & he didn't want me to go the transmission route right away, which would have cost a pretty penny. He told me to take it to a shop he trusts & have it diagnosed. He saved me so much anxiety & hopfully a ton of money!!! His services are very reasonably priced as well. I hope I don't need his services, but I'm glad he's around just in case!! I saved his number straight away.

I have been using Erik's services for almost 3 years and have been pleased with the service every time. They are always helpful and their transmission warranty is better than any of their competitors. I definitely recommend them to anyone needing vehicle repair.

Eric and his guys are awesome, honest and quality work, plus they you out in a timely manner. Glad I found his ad on Craigslist about a year back. Had my transmission done plus he did the O2 sensors at a discount what the dealer was asking for.

Erik was very knowledgeable and his pricing was extremely reasonable. Vehicle was done timely and the transmission rebuild came with a great warranty. I'll be going back for any other vehicle repairs.

Great service and great prices. Eric is easy to deal with and personable. He came up to the north metro and even picked up my truck. When the truck was done, he brought it back to me. I highly recommend Eric if you need a transmission.

After getting quotes that ranged from $2,500-$3,200 miles a friend referred me to Eric's. He quoted 1,825 which included towing 60 miles. My Escape was done on time with no surprise charges. I would recommend Erik's without hesitation!

We've used Erik several times on different vehicles. Never been disappointed. He gets your vehicle in and out in a timely manner. Will keep going back. But I hope I don't have to.

Perfect, trustworthy and fair price. Since I went to Minnesota I did not know or was I was gonna have problems with my 2002 Chevy Trailblazer LT. I have NOT bought a Car since 2006 and was never the type to Keeping Up with the Jones. Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. As I continued to drive it out to where I had to go the Check Engine light went on. I had this problem before which is an Engine Misfire. On one of the Sparkplugs and Cylinders. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. All in All I only spent $400 and my engine was running great. Please come over here! He won't rip you off with Lies about the car! 5 stars in my book especially coming from Chicago, IL.

Brought my vehicle for bad wheel bearings. He changed the wheel bearings, but a sensor light came on. After the third try to get him to fix it I was told to find someone else because "he didn't have time to fix it." He knocked off a few bucks for being unable to fix it at least. I was also told to call the parts store and explain my issue with the parts he was getting for my vehicle. Some of the strangest business practices I've ever been apart of. Brought my vehicle to another mechanic who fixed the issue in less than 15 minutes. Lastly, I was never called when my vehicle was ready to be picked up.Horrible customer service and least prompt mechanic I've ever used. Never going back. Find someone better.

Eriks Transmission is the Real Deal transmission shop I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, Also, The only Honest guy I spoke to the day I thought my transmission blew. I had thought that I had blown out my transmission or transfer case after hunting in the middle of nowhere after shifting from 4 wheel low to 2 wheel while I was still in drive. I heard a louder pop noise and my truck stopped shifting gears and was grinding when I attempted to go from park to any gear. I call at least 8 transmission shops around Northfield to Elko, all anyone could tell me was to get the truck towed to them and they would take a look, no body would give me a trouble shoot over the phone and had no clue on how trouble shoot the issue. After I called Erik, he said to try to Do a certain sequence of turning off and on the truck, putting it in neutral, put it back in 4 wheel low and wait 5 seconds, then to 4 wheel high and wait another 5 seconds, then to 2 wheel and wait for a few more second then try to shift the truck into drive....sure enough it worked, he fixed my problem in less than 2 minutes over the phone and told me to have a nice day! Erik was the only honest, knowledgable guy I spoke to that afternoon stuck in the middle of nowhere waiting on a tow truck that probably couldn't have even reached me! He saved the day and my year that day, not many of these type of actual mechanics (Not replace but actual trouble shoot and fix the problem) left, I cannot speak highly enough of this mechanic that had the knowledge to fix my truck without ever touching it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND ERIK's TRANSMISSION & AUTO REPAIR.

Not only did Erik save me $1,000 on my transmission rebuild, he beefed it up for my use and has a 3 year 50,000 mile warranty! I would recommend to anybody needing tranny rebuild.

I had a subcontractor for my business get stuck on the side of the road during a rain storm. Although not his primary business, Erik came out with his personal vehicle to get them out. I know where I will take my vehicle if I have any issues.

Eric could have easily taken advantage of a simple situation and followed thru installing a used tranny. Instead he double checked my mistake, added more tranny fluid, re-test drove my 04 Avalon and sent me on my way, no charge!Check your tranny fluid-levels hot and cold, big difference.Thanks Eric for being an honest business person, very refreshing!

This is your warning! He does not know how to rebuild transmissions. Paid $3,500 for a built GM 6L90 and had to remove and warranty it 4 times in 1,000 miles. Finally had to have it rebuilt by someone else because he would not fix it.
