Really fun place! Our group of 4 had a blast tubing! They had single and double rider tubes and the lift was easy to maneuver up. You can tie up to 4 riders together if you are looking to get some major speed! Great place to get your snow fix during a milder winter too

Normally we wouldn t travel this far from the metro but Andes is an early opener and is now on the Indy Pass. So glad we made the trip. Excellent staff and Tom the manager went out of his way to make our visit special. Very excited to visit again during the season. Definitely worth the trip from the metro in my opinion.

We went with my sons 5th grade class. Great day and all the workers are kind and patient with the first time learners.

I spent half the time trying to get better skis. I said moderate but they gave me aggressive AND gave me bad skis. When I tried to get better bindings and skis, the staff wasn t answering my questions. HOWEVER I did end up getting better skis and could go on the run comfortably. Take more time addressing the forms. Fun for the rest of the time though. Might return. Do better

Great place for your family to learn how to ski/snowboard. I signed my daughter up for lessons. I would highly recommend signing up. Very patient! So glad my local Community Ed busses kids here every Friday there is school in session. 20$ per bus ride from our community ed plus the Friday night lift/rental pass.

Very good skiing business, a good variety of options from tubing, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing with rentals for all of the above it has been over 20 years sense I have been out here and I wish I would have made it back earlier. They have a ski lodge with a deli for food and beverages not a huge selection but they do have stuff. Parking lot is large for lots of parking options. I would recommend going to check it out they have specials on occasion for discounted prices and special events

My daughter had her last field trip there, right before Christmas. She's a fifth grader. I have chaperoned the last 2 years. This year, I had to go into work for a couple hours before I headed out to meet the school at Andes Tower Hills . I work in the medical field. I was able to get there by 10 am! TOM ANDERSON refused to let me have my lift ticket that I already paid for through the school trip. He then told me I could pay full price full day lift ticket ($55). Not even discounting the amount I've already paid. AND they didn't even open to the public until noon!!! I brought my own gear, I wasn't even renting gear!! Needless to say, I didn't pay the 55 dollars for a lift ticket!! My daughter was disappointed. As was I. I took time away from work to be there. So this day cost me quite a bit in the long run. Tom then watched me like a hawk the rest of the day. I will not be returning to andes in the future. It's too bad too, I wanted to get season passes as my daughter is at the age of enjoying to ski!! We will have to check out other options, since andes is a far enough drive anyway, we can go anywhere!! Thanks Tom! You're a real JERK!And I am now blocked from all social media!! Can't handle a factual review!! Tom is a money hungry person.

I am a disabled combat veteran with a trained service dog. Today, January 1st, 2024 at 5pm, I was told by the woman in the dining area that my service dog was not allowed to be there. I informed her that ADA law states that he can go anywhere i go. She said "no" and told me to go to the manager at the front desk. I walked to the front desk to ask for the manager and was confronted by Manager Tom very rudely telling me that my service dog was not allowed in the building and said there was a sign at the entrance then proceded to ask me if i knew how to read. I politely told him that we have paid for our tickets and have been in the building for the last 2 hours. He asked me for paperwork and if i didnt have them then i would have to leave. Called me a liar when i told him the service dog registry is an online scam and anybody can buy one and that, per ADA laws, he is only allowed to ask me 2 questions. He proceeded to belittle me in front of everyone, even when the sweet employee Kelly told him i was telling the truth. Kelly was the ONLY one in the establishment that knew ADA laws, she needs a raise! Tom made Kelly and i cry with his disgusting language. Kelly tried to apologize for his behavior but something NEEDS to be done because he violated FEDERAL LAW. There is a reason the ADA laws have to be followed. I am going to speak to a lawyer regarding how we will go about this, so that others that come after me dont have to be disrespected like Tom disrespected me today.Below is a screenshot of the 8 minute video i have, and you can see Tom smirking after breaking ADA laws. Because once he saw that I started recording, he ran to hide behind the gear.

If you are a college student that plans to use the discount on the designated days, make sure to present a physical ID card or request one from your university's card services prior to attending Andes. Digital IDs (Google Wallet, Apple Wallet, Samsung Wallet, etc.) are not accepted, and I wish the requirements for getting the discount were clearer.

Tom is a disgusting and nasty person and he shouldn't be working with people!!! Kelly was the only professional and nice person there. Won't ever go back as long as Tom is working there. What a joke!

Update. I have reduced the rating to 3 stars because a lifts has broken on my last two trips, stranding skiers on the lift for 45 min or more. We did get a cup of hot cocoa out of this though? Decent place for the area. The hill is decent size for the area and keep in mind this area is named the "plains" states for a reason. Excellent service, kind individuals, and you can bring your own food in, which you cannot do at Detroit Mountain. Rentals are in terrible shape which is the reason for the 4 stars and not 5.

Love the atmosphere! Positive family music playing outdoors and friendly staff. Check out the deals online and coupons all over the place (e.g. receipts and surrounding grocery stores: Morris-Willies Super Valu, Alexandria-"Eden's Foods", etc..) Great various levels of runs, so if your a beginner-this is the place to start if your snowboarding , downhill skiing, etc.. :)

Tiny hill but they do an amazing job of creating good slopes for the size they have to work with

I am reducing my rating.I have been going to Andes for years with groups of youth.Although it is a good for beginner skiers over the years their prices have crept up and they seem to offer fewer really good group discounts. They seem to be overly strict with the policies regarding switching out skiers for groups. Additionally, since they don't allow outside food in the facility and there food prices are high for the quality it makes it much less affordable for bigger families and lower income group skiers.

If your looking for more of a challenging hill then "Cougar-Tiger Hill" (by Water Tower) in Morris, MN. Check out this place! Many UMM college students don't know about this place, Well, I hope you do now! I came here when I was a freshmen in college and been coming ever since bringing friends from all over the world (e.g. Pakistan, Brazil, Japan, etc..). They love it!
