We had good experience here ...until we didn't. You definitely get what you pay for here. While they offer low prices, they do terrible work. I've had oil changes and bought tires from here with no issues. So I decided I would bring my vehicle here when I needed a new bearing and sensor. They only changed the bearing even though I specifically asked for a new sensor to. So we had to bring it back again a different day. They changed the sensor, and when I got the vehicle back the dashboard lights that had been in question were off. They turned back on within 2 minutes of driving it down the road. I immediately turned around and went back to talk to them. They basically told me and my boyfriend that they didn't know what else to do and to go somewhere else. So, we got a second opinion, and they tested the bearing that was changed and said it was faulty. Told us Forbes would be able to warranty the part and to go back there as that would save us money.When we went to Forbes to address the bearing issue, they told us to kick rocks, go to the shop that tested your bearing then, that they wouldn't warranty the bearing, and the old lady who works there actually came out and yelled at my boyfriend, swore at him and told him if we don't like their work to get out of there then.I will NEVER go back here. I'd rather pay double somewhere else. Terrible customer service and very limited knowledge of cars.

I went into Forbes and the owner was so nice and wanting to help me with my tire knowing I just moved here and didn t charge me to look at it. I love family owned places and I will be taking my car here from now on! It was a great Experiance and I worked at a shop for 9 years where I used to live and this place felt like home and a place that I trust to fix my car!

First I will say that this is not a bad shop. It's getting out of date, the building is getting old. I think there's a high turnover on their mechanics. Most of the mechanics are not formally trained, it seems. However, they do offer service at a lower price than most places in town. I've had them do breaks, tires, and oil changes on my cars several times with no issues. However, I don't think I would trust them with anything more complex than that.

I use to think very highly of this auto shop. I really thought the customer service was great, until yesterday. A very nice mechanic at Forbes figured out that a vehicle I had recently purchased had a rusted frame. They were so helpful during the whole situation. Unfortunately, I ended up taking the person who sold me the bad vehicle to small claims court and asked the owner of Forbes if he would vouch for me to help me prove the vehicle was damaged prior to me purchasing it, as this was a huge point in the case I was trying to make in court. I called months ago and asked if the owner would be willing to help me out and he agreed to, I called this morning to see if he had gotten around to signing the paperwork I left for him to sign and he said yeah, stop by. When I arrived to pick up the paperwork the owner claimed that he had lost it. So I offered to write up a new one quick as it was simple and only required a sentence or two to explain the vehicles condition. I then questioned if he really wanted to vouch for me and I get it because the person I am taking to court is a neighboring business. However I was told multiple times by him that it would be no issue and when it came down to it he lied to my face claiming he lost the piece of paper when it was very clear that he more then likely just threw it in the garbage. Later to find out in court that he an Bart ( at hutch auto) were actually contacting each other that morning and had this whole situation planned. I was so disappointed and I feel terrible for writing this but I felt that was a very crooked thing to do. The owner of Forbes basically teamed up with the crook at Hutch Auto Sales instead of doing the right thing. I guess it's hard to find an ethical businessman in the town of Hutchinson. I guess it makes sense though Hutch Auto probably spends more money at Forbes then I do.

They broke the power steering while fixing the exhaust. They gave us back a broken car and told us nothing was wrong. Then it took two weeks To get a hold of the owner. He then hung up on us several times. I am 52 years old, I don t like being treated like a child. He will never see my business or anyone I know, business again.

So This place just straight up piss me off and would not recommend them for nothing. I had my driver side would that would not work. So I had him look at it to see what the issue was and how much it was going to cost me. She told me it would be 150, no big deal he stated that it was the motor that needed to be change. So i dropped it off and then when i came to pick it up it was 185. Then not even 2 months later I had the same issue with the driver side window it would not go up or down. went back he fixed it no problem. then again not even 2 months later same thing happens. Of course he like your going to have to pay for labor this time around. So i told him all I want him to do is put the window up. They had a hard time doing it but they did it. then he said he was going to have the take out the switch so that window. so the only window that was able to go down can no longer go down along with the back window and on top of that my radio no longer works. Then he state that the issue is the switch and it needs to be replace. I ask him to order it for me he like I can't you need to go to a junk yard to get the part. REALLY DUDE! If you did your right to start with you would have know it was the switch and not the motor. Not happy with these people at all.

Very disappointing. I called to order a tire, they said they would have it there the next day. I called them the next day to bring in the vehicle, they said it would be a week to get the tire but forgot to call me. Fair enough. I call them a week later to bring in the vehicle, they say they cannot get the tire. I asked them why they never called me to tell me any of this throughout the process. Their response, I don t know and then they hung up on me.

Will never bring any of my vehicles here again. Very rude. The things I ask to be done are never done right. When explaining something I never get listened too. Have to bring my vehicle back multiple times because it s not fixed right. When calling to see if vehicle is done get very rude response and hung up on.

Was told every day that it was something new that was wrong with my car and they didn t know how to fix it. What kind of auto shop doesn t know how to fix something?

Excellent auto shop! I had a terrible noise when using my brakes and they fixed it perfectly, very fast service and reasonable pricing. Highly recommend.
