Affordable Auto gets a 7 out of 5.We have been taking our three older vehicles to them for several years. They have kept us on the road, have been on time, and have worked around my husband's unusual work schedule whenever possible. Plus they're nice!A couple of times, customers in the waiting room have said they've been going to Affordable for 20-30 years. Quite the recommendation.If you're looking for a mechanic, they are worth checking out.

Dan and Todd the owners and Meranda are very knowledge, friendly and honest. It is nice to know that they will only do the work needed. They have worked on my families cars for over 15 years.If you need your car serviced go to Affordable Auto in Hopkins.

Affordable Auto has a great mechanic! Even though we rarely get to interface with him directly we are aware that he is taking good care of our car. When taking care of our regular maintenance obligations we can trust him to watch out for the unseen; we don't feel that Affordable Auto creates causes for return visits for their profit. Their inspections are legit. It's great to have a place you can trust with your auto care!Service: Oil change

We ve been bringing our family s vehicles to Todd and Dan for twenty years now. They have always been accommodating, reliable, reasonably priced with excellent service. They ve even given me rides home sometimes! I highly recommend them. In the world of pretty poor customer service, combined with poor work quality and pretty high prices that I have observed and experienced in Minnesota, I would say this looks like a decent place that I may be able to recommend in the future, if we can gain more trust down the line, later. They did some pretty complex work for our vehicle and I think they look knowledgeable and trustworthy. It is also close to where we live so pretty convenient.

I recently moved to Minnesota, and this is the place I decided to take my 2007 Chevy Silverado for brake repairs. The price for the first extensive work they did on my brakes was good, and the amazing friendly and caring service was outstanding. I had a problem after I got my truck back, and although no one is sure exactly what happened with the error, Affordable Auto helped me with the cost of the repairs and made it so I could safely drive my truck again. I have only ever had my vehicles worked on by my brothers who both have extensive mechanical knowledge, and the customer service at affordable auto made me feel like like I had my repairs done by family again! My truck was my fathers and he gave it to me after he couldn't drive before he passed away, and to know that the people working on it care about my truck as much as they do is priceless. Affordable auto has made me a life long customer with their stellar service. 14/10 definitely recommend this place that treats their customers like family

I was visiting Hopkins MN from out of town and was in great need of auto service. Todd and his team were amazing!!! They fit me in without making me feel like they were doing me a favor or like I was in the way. They recommended a great place to eat while I waited and they finished on time. I cannot recommend this place enough!!! Truly five star service and only because there are not six!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

Absolutely wonderful place to do business with. Customer service is top notch. Over the years (been coming here since 2013) they ve taken great care of our cars. They ve also done amazing things like carried car seats to a loaner car for me, and today squeezed me in for a quick repair so I could get to work. Overcharged, my car still has the same issues I brought it in for. When they find out you have a warranty and only pay your deductible, quality of service goes down.

I have used Affordable Auto Service for 4 of my cars and you can t beat their service and price. The BMW dealer wanted $2200 to fix my suspension. Affordable fixed it for $800 and said half of the things the dealer requested didn t need to be done. That was 30,000 miles ago and still working great. They have replaced brakes, a clutch, battery as well as regular maintenance items. Work has always been done on time and at a great price. Todd helped me when my vehicle broke down. My request from roadside assistance was to take me to the closest repair establishment. Todd the owner gave me an unforgettable experience. The price was more than fair, the service and time was exceptional and I will be doing all my repair and maintenance here for any future vehicle I own. Severe breakdown on the weekend, to like it never happened before I knew it! Trust Todd and Affordable Auto!

Dan and Todd are the greatest and are honest guys to work with. Best prices and will not try to talk you into some repair you do not need. Have many experiences with this shop and our family has used them for years.I was taken in by the "Free oil Change " by a local Dealer and it has cost me plenty. Recently I was needed a Oil change and power steering leakfixed , which was not and told that I needed Steering gear and hoses for the sum of $1799.33 . I then took my car over to Affordable and Dan repaired it for $165.89 with just O Ring Seals . I will never go to anyone but Affordable Auto Service.

Brought my truck in and was very concerned she was done for. Very reasonable. Called me along the way to ensure I wasn't going above what could be afforded. Towing company Frankie's was great. Overall good experience.

Very good shop, these guys are the real deal, very helpful and no BS. Will definitely come back here for auto needs or advice. Best part is they treat you with respect and advise you on your options and they also did not pressure me and even offered to let me keep my truck there over the weekend just to think about wether or not I wanted to fix my truck or junk it. 5 stars all the way.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

These guys are great! Best prices in town, super fast service, and very friendly staff! I had a brake repair done and Dan explains what's going on with your car if you're not very car savy, like me. I will be coming here for all future repairs!

My wife dropped in today, a very cold day. Her tires were low, and an indicator light was keeping her from getting on the freeway. After being turned down at a different service vendor, the personnel at Affordable Auto Service checked her tires, inflated all four to optimum pressure, and got her back on the road. They were courteous, understanding, and they wouldn't accept a cent for this quick checkup. I thank them, as does my wife and her friend. Outstanding customer service!

There are certain folks we all would like in our families ... a lawyer, a plumber, a car mechanic... well, Affordable Auto is like having that mechanic in the family. I have learned in the past 5 years or so that Todd and Dan are honest and don't treat me differently as a woman. They answer my questions and give respectful, accurate estimates for costs and times. I trust Affordable Auto for all the vehicles in the family.

IntegrityDan provided a very good explanation of the error codes and a much more practical example of what work needed to be doneWe previously had the car at a dealership for some recall work and they suggested that we have several thousands of dollars work done.We left affordable feeling comfortable and saving many hundreds of dollars !Thanks Dan for your great advice and will be sure to see you again at our next service opportunity

Our Family all the way back to my deceased Grandparents and Father have used Affordable Auto and the Beugen Family for automotive services of all types for probably 50 yrs. I had an inspection performed for a car I was buying. The cost was reasonable and the inspection appears to have been thorough. Several minor things were found which is normal for an older vehicle. He provided a clear explanation of what was found and how serious the issues were.
