My wife and I bought a 2017 Rav4 at Ace Imports in 2020 and until yesterday I would have said it was a good experience. Now needing a larger vehicle for our growing family, we went to trade it in at a Toyota dealer. They ran a Carfax report which showed major damage occurred shortly before we purchased it from Ace. Though fixed well enough to fool our experienced mechanic, it was not disclosed to us even though I asked the seller repeatedly. Ace showed us a clean Carfax report (Toyota dealer said it can take a few months for records to be updated) and gave a lower price to get it out the door before it showed up on the report. KBB now estimates it would be worth more than 17k on trade in with a clean title but the Toyota dealer dropped their offer to under 10k due to the damage report. We drove our daughter around in this vehicle. Not cool.Update: It won't let me reply to the response, so I am adding here. As mentioned in the review above my wife purchased the vehicle, we do not have the same last name. The attached photos are from our records, including the business card included in the sale documents and the purchase contract. Both list the business as Ace Imports Auto Sales at 635 14th Ave S, Hopkins, MN 55343. If this is a different business than yours, I will remove this post.Final update: The owner found our records and reached out to me and my wife to make an offer on the vehicle. It had already sold a few weeks prior but he went out of his way to try to improve our experience, which I appreciate. We took no recompense, but I root for small businesses and therefore have changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars.My goal with this post is to share my experience so other customers are informed while highlighting a good faith attempt by the business owner to provide quality service. Though I would not rule out purchasing a vehicle here again, I would be extra careful to identify any holes in a vehicle's history and of course have a mechanic check it out, requesting close inspection for collision or other damage. Le is a rockstar. I d highly recommend purchasing a car from these guys if you are in the market. Beyond accommodating, noticed there was an issue with my breaks after purchasing. Le had me bring the car in so he could take care of it.If given the opportunity I d give them more than 5 stars!

I bought a car from Le a couple years ago and it's been great. He spent plenty of time talking me through the process and let me test drive as many as it took to make a decision. To this day, I've had no major issues. Best experience I've had buying a car. It makes a huge difference working with someone who is passionate about the industry.

Lee is my favorite mechanic. Very transparent and honest with his work. He calls to the back and lifts ur car up and shows you the issues your car has. He test drives with u to hear/ see the car problem. He also searched car parts in your presence so you see how much they cost before he actually puts in the orders. Such an awesome person. My husband bought a car from him years ago and since then I have had him service my car

My family recently purchased a van from Ace Imports. The whole experience was great, and we couldn't be happier with the van! I feel like we received a great "private sale" price, but bought from a dealer that is a true pro. Great to work with and went above and beyond to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the vehicle. Highly recommended!

Great selection of cars and the prices are unbeatable compared to all the other dealerships. The owner Anh Le is honest and has a lot of knowledge and experience about cars. He s been in the car business for many years. Also the mechanic their is a hard worker and is very good at fixing cars. I would highly recommend this place to anyone whose in need of repairs, tires, and buying a vehicle. Check out this place before you consider going to another place. You can even call and ask around yourself about the prices. UNBEATABLE and THE JOB IS DONE RIGHT.

We live in Central Iowa and just bought a van from Ace Imports and had a fantastic experience with the whole transaction! Ahn went above and beyond expectations to make sure everything was perfect with the van before we took possession. He was very easy to work with. It was worth the drive for sure and would recommend him and Ace Imports to anyone.

I've bought two vehicles here and am more than happy. The vehicles are great, the prices are consistently better at Ace, and the owner is fantastic to deal with and has gone above and beyond. We'll absolutely do business here again in the future!

After reading all of the positive reviews, I made a decision to come here.Bought a car here 2 months ago. Loved it!! Ace is courteous, very informative and seems like an honest person. He does refer you to an outside financial institution to finance a vehicle, if needed.

Service was good when I came out to look at the car. Then after agreeing to purchase things really began to happen. He requested that if I paid in cash he could offer me savings.. AKA evade taxes... Drove the car home and it was dead two days later when I tried to start it. Thought maybe I left a light on, but it happened again after a jump start. After replacing the battery it fixed my issue. Luckily I had two cars... Only a $150 fix, but seems pretty cheap and shady to sell a car with a battery that obviously couldn't hold a charge. I would buy elsewhere in the future and definitely not recommend if you want a smooth transaction and a trustworthy car.

I had a great experience buying a used car from Ace Imports. We got a reliable vehicle for less than blue-book value; and it was a better deal than ANY private seller I could find during 2 weeks of car searching.This shop is owned and operated by Anh Le; I thought he was great. He has a degree in mechanical engineering, but he quit a career to work on cars instead! He works hard and even met with me after regular work hours to show me cars.My car is still driving great, probably because it was fixed and maintained by a mechanic (Anh Le!). You won't find such confidence in a used car purchase from a private seller.

Le is an honest salesman. We purchased a vehicle from him and couldn't be happier with our purchase. It was a smooth transaction and very professional for a smaller dealership. His cars are priced reasonably. He know his cars and you will not regret buying from him! Go see Le for a hassle free buying experience!

I purchased a 2013 Santa Fe from Anh last summer. I got a great deal on a awesome car. Car has been perfect since purchasing it 15,000 miles later. He's also my oil change guy and gets them done quick at times that work for me. One main thing that helped make my mind up about going thru with the purchase is how personable he is. It was a comfortable experience with zero pressure. When I came back from my test drive he had a clean car fax waiting for me to really seal the deal. Wanted to give this car some time and mileage before leaving a review and it's been nothing but a positive experience with Ace Auto. Thanks again Anh.

I bought a 2016 orange Rav 4 yesterday, and I couldn't be more impressed by the excellent customer service and deal I received -I am a little worried it was all too good to be true, but see by other's reviews that I must have just gotten lucky with the find. I will (and already have) make recommendations to buy from this dealer to friends and family. I really appreciate the experience I had and will continue to cross my fingers that it wasn't too good to be true!

I bought a 2015 Hyundai Elantra last month with 35k on it. To say the least I have been more than satisfied with my purchase. Anh Le was a pleasure to work with and very helpful with the process, including the financing with my bank out of WI. There were no loopholes to jump through, no gimmicks, just good quality service with a genuine approach to the buyer's opinion and needs.

This place hands down, has the best prices out there for: service, buying or selling your vehicle. The owner is as honest as they come, but extremely knowledgeable of all kinds of cars. I highly recommend this place compared to any other dealership out there.

Anh is very upfront, helpful and gives you nothing but honest advice and very reasonable prices with his services. Not like most auto shops, who try s to pull your arms and legs. I ve been coming to his shop for about 2 1/2 yrs now and Never been disappointed. I ve gotten my brakes changed, oil changed, tire rods changed from him and i couldn t have asked for better service. Everything s been on point and Anh goes above and beyond to make sure your satisfaction is met! If your in the twin cities area and are looking for maintenance on your vehicle or you re looking to purchase a vehicle, his shop does it All! Check his shop out, promise u won t be disappointed!

Wow! what a refreshing car buying experience. Ace Import Auto Sales is a great place to buy a vehicle. Anh Le is very straight forward, knowledgeable and experienced. He prices his vehicle's very competitively and gives fair deals on trades.

We got my remote car starter from Anh Nov 2016, the process was simple and a great one. He let us know about the options we had and discussed what would work best for us, while still getting an excellent brand for a great value. We will definitely be adding another starter on a different car this year through ace imports!

Anh the owner did a exceptional job. The job(s) that were completed were all 4 brakes and rotors, oil change, transmission flush, and tire rotation. I found Anh to be very hard working, honest, and willing to go above and beyond. Anh is a very smart guy that knows his stuff, was very down to earth, and welcoming. Lastly his price was very reasonable and competitive.Carlos

Purchased a 2013 Volkswagon Passat from Anh in April 2018. Everything about our transaction went smoothly and he stands behind the cars he sells. We have had great customer service and would recommend Ace Imports Auto Sales to anyone looking for a good used car.

Definitely would not recommend this shady business to anyone. a good friend of mine bought a car from them and turns out the transmission was bad and there were cracks in the engine. when she brought the car back they had the nerve to keep $500 of the money she paid for the car. stay away from this place

Ace Imports is the greatest repair shop I have ever been to. Ahe Le sat down with me and explained every thing thst was needed for the repair. He does amazing work. Honest, dependable and trust worthy. Amazing customer service. Ace Imports is my home for all repairs.

This is the most forgetfull mechanic ever, one minute he tells us to bring our vehicle, we agree on a time, 6 hours later after calling him numerous time, he still haven't looked at, stating he didn't know a big tow truck came and dropped a big vehicle off. How do you tell someone to come in, since you have no clients, then hours later tell someone you didn't have time..Will never go here again. Very lazyThis situation is crazy and could have easily been prevented, no one should have to call someone numerous time, text them and still don't get no response, you need a damn receptionist. If you to busy to get back to a customer as this is not good customer service. Also you only post this to say your company is good when its not you continue to lie, people can see that in your response, one minute you didn't know the van was out there, but you new he was calling and text so if you would have took the time to answer you would have known it was outside, secondly how do you do a diagnostic test on a vehicle that you didn't know was out there and per your response was still sitting in the same spot, how can you give someone estimates when you haven't even did the diagnostic test, and don't know what wrong with the vehicle yourself... sound fishy..but you can continue being the so honest mechanic you think you are, you will run into the wrong person with there vehicle as much stuff that's going on now, never know what a person will do. He doesn't need the money back as we will be blessed later, but I will report you to the credit bureau and never will recommend you to know one, not even your vehicle you sell with 2013 or older plates on them, there's no telling how long they have been sitting.. Also this is not Marvin but I did witness the conversation and how many time someone had to call. I'm so glad it wasn't me.. you wouldn't of liked me.. So get your story straight...

I stopped in to check prices on some work that was recommended by one of those franchises....Ahn was fantastic!! Wheel bearing hub on both sides and a purge valve. All for the same cost as was quoted for just the valve. I will definitely send my friends!!

They were very fair & straightforward. Will definitely shop for next car there. He helped us with some small issues after purchase and didn't charge us.
