Hello. I had my car serviced at Jack's on 1/9/24. I have no complaints about the service or quality of work. The issue that I do have though is with how much I was charged. I had 2 lower control arms replaced and a wheel alignment done and the total came out to 1,370.92. Shop around, there prices are higher than what the stealership charges and they have 10 times the overhead. There is a difference between an honest business man and greed. My advise is to always get at least 2 quotes , would have saved me around 600.00 dollars. 2014 ford focus invoice # 4009122. I had an appointment scheduled for my wife's oil pan to get replaced at a cost of around 1,050 dollars. Had another shop down the street do it for 600.00 dollars . It's a sad world we live in now days. The blue collar hard workers always get the short end of the stick, makes me sad honestly

Their prices are ridiculous. Shop around and save some update to my previous review. I did go in and get a quote from Jims Auto right down the street. they quoted me 800.00. that included the inspection, replacing both control arms and the alignment. please give them a call if you wish and they can verify. At this point I am just chalking it up as a lesson learned. I will always get at least 2 quotes going forward. On a side note there is also a charge that says fees but does not state what they are for? the 2nd thing I noticed is that they test drove my car to diagnose the issue but the mileage in and mileage out are the same . I am not looking for a refund, just for my voice to be heard.

Brought a Honda CRV there after a dealership told us we needed a new engine. Jack s was amazing on the communication end and were able to fix the issue with the original engine for a fraction of the cost of what a new engine would have been. We weee informed and asked about what services were to be performed every step of the way. Their professionalism and knowledge as well as their transparency will have us going there from now on.

Unreal service! I am from out of town, my truck broke down, and Jacks went out of their way to help me out. I can not express how helpful and quickly they got me back on the road! Highly recommend the team over at Jacks for your auto repairs.

I highly recommend Jack's. They are friendly, professional, efficient, and fairly priced. I've been 100% delighted with the repairs to my 2005 Prius hybrid I've had done there.

Originally gave 1 but updated to 4 stars cause I wanted front brakes done, they worked on rear brakes without informing me, however they did make it right getting in touch with me after.

My car broke down in the middle of an intersection and I was able to bring my car to their lot for the weekend. They kept communication very well. They were able to send me an itemized receipt of what could be done to the car and let me choose what I wanted work to be done on. Overall a great shop to work with!

My transmission went out in the back woods. AAA gave us Jacks Auto Service. Came really fast, diagnosed the problems and got us back on the road faster than we expected. Went the extra mile for some parts. Friendly, informative and very professional. Highest rating for customer service. Thanks Mike!!!

207 dollars for an inspection and it was not even mentioned that their would be a charge like other places dont fail to advise you of. I would recommend going anywhere else. Also thats an inspection on a pt cruiser.

The employees were respectful and polite. My appointment was made within a week to diagnose my van's check engine light, and then another week later they were able to replace my ignition sensor and clear the code. I knew how much to expect to pay for the services that I received. They even followed up with me to make sure everything was working out. My van rides much better now, and I'll definitely be returning to Jack's Auto Service for my future auto needs.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I had my car towed here with seized rear brakes and dropped it off around 11pm. By 9:00am the next morning they called me with the solution and a very reasonable quote. I asked them to check the front brakes as well and I was prepared and expecting to have them replaced as well. By 2pm they texted me that it was ready to be picked up and no problems with the front brakes. They could have easily upsold me on brakes I didn t need, but they were honest. I paid over the phone and was able to pick up my vehicle after hours via a lock box. Could not believe the speed, honesty, and quality of service. Very satisfied.

I had to have a total engine replacement. Jacks was able to get my new factory Ford crate motor installed in 2 weeks! Mike and Keith kept me updated every step of the way. The best part of the experience was the bill actually came in 500 dollars less than the quote! That speaks volumes for the honesty and commitment they have for their customers. Update: not only did Keith take great care of us for our car repairs, he just followed up two months later to check on how it s been running. What an amazing company and staff and I wish we lived closer for all of our service needs!We were recommended to Jack s while on vacation in the area for the week. They were extremely busy but they were still able to squeeze us in and get our car repaired quickly so we could continue our vacation. Keith and Drew were amazing at explaining the issue and staying in touch with us throughout the repair process. I found them online. They are the closest shop to me that work on foreign cars. They replaced my starter. Works great. When I needed brakes I went back to them. As a woman sometimes you feel like you could be getting taken advantage of. But when my brakes were making noise I called and asked if I could bring it in to have them look at it. They made me an appointment and found the problem. Fixed it and now they are working great. It's nice to feel taken care of. I would recommend them for all your auto repair needs. Plus their front desk guys are always nice and helpful. I'm a very satisfies customer and will be taking my cars back to them.Service: Brakes

Even though it was hard, not their fault one bit, they helped me figure out the truck I just got from someone had a bad motor and other various issues to where it isn't worth fixing. Definitely LOVE the honesty an sincerely and willingness to help someone in a tough spot because they trusted a stranger too much. Definitely recommend getting a vehicle inspected by them before buying it. Would have saved me 3k.

Jack's delivers outstanding service EVERY time. They give me honest answers. They make sure I get to where I need to be on time while my vehicles are in service. They check in with me without being pushy to remind me when my service is due. All of these guys are fantastic and kind. If I'm honest, they cater to my extremely tight schedule, which I appreciate immensely. Jack's Auto makes the headache of vehicle service and maintenance as easy as possible. Driving to Upper Red Lake from the Twin Cites when my car started to misfire. Got it to Jack's Auto Service where the service was outstanding. They got my car in and fixed in less than 24 hours. They are very professional and pleasant. I went in for struts and they found I needed new brakes. They were able to finish all the work at that appointment. Jack s did extensive work in the past and I ve never been disappointed. After replacing an upper ball joint and inspecting the front end (without finding any other concerns) I took my pickup in for a simple alignment. Service tech claimed that my truck need over $1000 in front end ball joints and suspension work before an alignment could be performed. What an absolute load of bull! I left without getting an alignment. Beware of faulty vehicle diagnostics!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

Jack's was great to work with. I brought my car in on a Thursday night and it was ready for me by Friday afternoon. They were very transparent, and called for permission before starting any work. My bill showed a clear break out of labor hours, parts, and tax. All prices were fair and reasonable for work done. My receipt also included a summery of all work done and things to be aware of (ex: left break 40 degrees hotter then right. Still healthy to use). Lastly, 2 days after work was done i received a text from Keith making sure all was well. Super great service. Very friendly staff. I highly recommend.

I brought my old van in to fix a long standing idle problem. They diagnosed it and kept me informed on what my options were as the van is old and i didn t want to spend more than it s worth. I'm so grateful that I have found Jack's auto service..the staff there are very friendly, if you ask any of them a question they are quick to answer you and help you to understand what they are explaining to you..they also let you know if there's anything else that they see that also may need work on they let you know right away. I'm very comfortable going there and I would recommend to other people that I know to come here. They are very honest guys, and fun to kid around with, I thank you againService: Oil change

I don't usually write reviews but I had such a great experience here I felt obligated to. I travel for work and beat on my vehicles so it's safe to say I have broke down and dealt with mechanics all over the country and it has always been a hassle at best. My current truck was misfiring and running poorly and could barely make it to work which is currently every night from 6:00pm to 7:00am so scheduling is kind of an issue for me. Jack's was able to schedule me first thing in the morning when I got off work. Unfortunately a few days before my appointment I broke down to an unrelated problem. Jack's had me off the side of the road and getting some rest in 30 minutes. When I came back for my original problem they had me fixed up and better then ever in 4 hours. It's also worth noting I had the same problem I had on my truck on a previous truck that for 2 years mechanics charged me to fix random items that ended up not fixing the problem. 4 hours in this shop and my truck is a champion again.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning, Car towing

I have never had a bad experience at Jack's. Although due to age of our vehicles, we usually find more work to do than it was originally brought in for, Jacks' has always worked with us to determine if any of the extra work is critical or if it can wait and what the effects could be either way. I have always found that they back up their work and if for any reason a repair fails (a part is bad etc..) they have always worked to correct in a very timely manner without excessive additional cost to us and have honored warranties. Although I have tried other shops in the area., I keep going back to Jacks due to their willingness to work with me, the timeliness of response in getting the vehicle in, the coupons and discount offers we receive on a regular basis, and the professionalism when noting issues. Jack's is my go to for all my vehicles.

My 1st time experience with Jack's rates 5 stars!They were able to come and retrieve my car, while I was working. Received an immediate call on initial diagnosis, with specifics on parts/labor/costs. After parts ordered, work was done. Mike is a terrific communicator, and a text from the owner, Keith Still was received as well. I also received a follow-up text from Mike, checking to see if car was running ok, if I had any questions or concerns. I will continue to use Jack's Auto Service in the future!!!

We are new to the area. Upon arriving at Jack's, we were helped immediately, my appointment was on time, the staff was helpful and friendly. My car was serviced in under an hour and the prices were very reasonable. I love that we received recommendations for other services needed - but we were able to elect what we wanted done before work was started. Very helpful - over all great experience. We will definitely go back. Thanks!

Top notch service. I know my vehicle is being looked at by knowledgeable technicians who are thorough. Keith is upfront and honest about repairs, cost, time and if it is something that should be taken care of immediately or can wait and be addressed at the next oil change. They always follow up and check in, to make sure there are no questions and that you are happy with their work. I threw a belt on my car and found myself stranded 200 miles from home and my regular auto shop. I got a tow to Jack s just minutes before they closed for the day and they squeezed me in the very next morning. I was back on the road before noon and the repair was reasonably priced. Jack s will be the first number I call next time I need automotive repairs in the Grand Rapids area.Service: Engine repair
