Highly skilled, knowledgeable technicians. Might cost a bit more than some other places, but you often get what you pay for. Some places will charge less because they do less. Had a transmission "rebuilt" 20 years ago by a transmission shop. Cost $1,000.00 with a one year warranty. It burned up in 13 months. This is my 2nd transmission rebuild from Bishops. The first was performed 6 years ago and it's still running perfectly. 2 year warranty. I expect it will last far longer.

Rude, unprofessional and very over priced. Buy new it's cheaper than their rebuild. $3,600 quote for a 4l60e a complete rebuilt from monster with upgrades is 2600$Services: Transmission, Transmission repairServices: Transmission, Transmission repair

Couldn't tell you what's better. The great staff, the awesome work they do or the very fair and reasonable price. Very pleased with the work they did in an exceptional amount of time and was surprised when they gave me the bill considering they came in well under anyone else I called. Thanks to Chris and his team and hope anyone looking for their skills and expertise would give them a call.

I recently purchased a collector car and it was leaking a little oil. I also wanted to have clutch and transmission checked for proper operation. Cris spent about half an hour performing minor adjustments and test driving my car. He answered all my questions and I was shocked when told I did not owe anything for his service. I will definitely use Bishop s Performance for future auto repairs.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I finally decided to stop in and check out this shop, and I am glad I did. Chris and his team are very friendly and helpful. They did some work on my sons mustang and did a great job. They were prompt and price was fair. I since took two other vehicles to them and my other son took his truck to them also . All within a few weeks time. What really impressed me was when they couldn't fix an electrical problem in my vehicle without having to tear the vehicle apart at major expense, they didn't charge me for the simpler things they did try. I told them I could live with it and it wasn't worth spending a lot on. I really appreciated it, thanks guys. I will be bringing more work your way.

I cannot say enough good things about Bishops. My husband and I have been taking our vehicles here for several years. They are fairly priced and they know their stuff. They've saved us on more than one occasion.

My name is Jesse Hill and I had my transmission rebuilt by Bishops and they did awesome work! Great friendly services and fast ! They got it done in 8 hours and I then brought my truck to them to have it installed properly and so warrenty didnt get voided. Its still going strong n I'm greatly appreciate the work n crew . I recommend these guys on any repairs you might need,they are great .

6 out of 5 stars!! Bishop's saved me in an emergency situation!!My son and I were traveling thru town on an ice fishing trip when I started having engine problems. Not knowing the area, I randomly started contacting repair shops, including the Ford dealership, with all 5 of them turning me down because they were to busy to squeeze me in. I then got in touch with Bishop's who was buried in work as well but basically dropped what he was doing to get me back on the road!! I'm not from the Grand Rapids area but if I was Bishop's would absolutely be my go to mechanic. Thank you for making time for us in a desperate situation...without you our trip would have been over and my son and I would have very different memories of the weekend!!Service: Engine repair
