Very happy with the service I received. I had a failed bearing on the boat trailer and called them around 2pm on Friday afternoon. By the time I was able to get towed to the shop it was around 4:30pm. They were the only repair service in Grand Marais that even answered the phone (so the bar was set pretty low lol) but I was not disappointed as they were able to get me in right away. They made the repairs the same day and did an excellent job. I was extremely thankful as they stayed LATE on a Friday afternoon to get the job done and I was able to continue my camping trip relatively unaffected. Outstanding work guys! Definately recomend if your from out of town with minor car problems. I started having problems with my brakes grinding and the start of my vacation while touring in the area. They got me in the next day and were reasonably priced. I was expecting Grand Marais prices but were about the same as I would pay at home. Fast service as well it only interrupted one and a half hours of my stay.

Took my truck in wouldn't start. Changed a fuse, said they checked the fuel pump it was good. 216$ Didn't even make it out of grand marais and it died again. Changed the fuel pump myseldlf literally the only thing they said they checked and was good and now no problems. Thanks a lot for the help Steve.

Rode in on a Saturday and one sled was leaking oil. We were referred by the gas attendant to Steve's auto. Stopped by and felt terrible that they were closing in 5 minutes. Thought they would tell us to get lost. Steve took the time to help us so we could enjoy our next 2 days riding. Class act and truly cares about people. Support this guy and his business.

I needed a windshield wiper blade, I looked online for size of brand they carry. Friendly staff took the time to verify it would fit my vehicle. Quick and comfortable service.

Passing through town and stopped for an oil change. $60 and I pick up my van with a "check engine light." Guy says the code comes back "low oil pressure." Revs the engine for a minute and resets the light. Says "should be good now". Nothing but trouble the next 3000 miles. Poor engine performance. Bad gas mileage. Etc. Get to my mechanic in arizona and pay $100+ diag fee only to find out these guys used the wrong oil filter. Stay far away. They find out you're not local and have no problems screwing you over. BTW, this is from last spring. Just now had 2 minutes to waste on them.

Saved our butts!!! Our starter died at the campground Friday afternoon on Labor day weekend. Not only did they have the part for our 21 year old Ford, they were able to fix it the next day!! Absolutely over and above service - can not say enough great things about these guys. We could have been trapped for over a week. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

My SUV Chevy Trailblazer broke down at Saw Bill. After being towed to Grand Marais Motors Steve did a wonderful job of which turned out be be very extensive repairs: Transmission, water pump, starter, and power steering high pressure hose. I was treated very professionally and highly recommend Grand Marais Motors for any automotive repairs.

I am from the twin cities. I have gone snowmobileing in Grand Marias a handful of times and have needed snowmobile support a few times. A couple of times they helped me for free. Each time they gave me immediate help so that I could get back on the trial. These guys are great. I just found out that they sell their rentals. You can go ride them on the trails before you buy. Genuinely care about their customers! I called with a minor issue I couldn t figure out on my own and they offered suggestions for me to try at home. Brought it in after not figuring it out and they fixed it quick for me, no charge. They re very helpful, kind, and pleasant to work with!
