Stayed here in our 39 foot class a motorhome while riding the Central Lakes Trail. Very clean, quiet, full hook ups, and yes, there are fair amount of rules, but it made for a very enjoyable stay for us. The bottom of the pool could maybe use a paint job, but it was clean and heated. Very refreshing after a day riding the Central Lakes trail. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The campground is located out in a rural area, except for not far from I94. You can hear the cars from the freeway but it isn t as bad as a lot of campgrounds can be. The property is well kept. The pull through site was adequate for our 42 1/2 foot 5th wheel. Although we didn t use it, the pool seemed to be falling in disrepair. The bathrooms were clean but outdated. A few miles from the campground there is a nice paved rail to trail that we biked on which was pretty nice. There is a nice little nature path to check out. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The park itself is quiet and peaceful.

Lots of rules, there's a whole page on their website dedicated to rules. I didn't feel like we could relax because I was always concerned we were going to catch heck from a campground worker driving around keeping their eye on us. It was actually stressful. The pool is a pretty sorry sight but it is in fact a pool. Well maintained but not awesome for people who like to relax with some cocktails around the fire at night (good luck not breaking an ankle because you better have your lights off!) and those who like to give their kids a little freedom to go to the park or ride bike without mom and dad close behind.

My family and I were traveling through going to North Dakota and decided to stop here for one night, we were pulled into our spot to close not allowing for our camper pull outs to come out on one side so we pulled around driving a little on the grass corners because of how close the spots are, due to rain some mud from our tires got on the grass out of nowhere someone who we found out was staff due to the shirt with the campground name on it told us "thanks for the ruts" to my grandma then ran back to the building before talking to my grandpa about the situation. The so called "ruts" were washed away by the rain not long after. Their quiet time rules are also strict as there is no TV or lights after 10:00pm till 7:00am but the whole area is lit by LED light poles which came right into the window in our door, bright enough I had to check and see if it was the lights on our camper that may have been left on, kinda contradicted the no light rule when it's like daylight outside. Not a great experience after a long day of travel at least it was quiet and in a good area.

Nice to check in. They parked us we couldn't let our pull out all the way. Moved to replace our camper than a man came out saying hey at me and my grandson. Would not have known who he was if he hadn't had a shirt on with the camp name. Said thank you for cutting ruts in his grass it was raining at the time. We looked at it was gravel from the road and the grass was pushed down. I said we were sorry. When I said you can talk to my husband he took off saying that's just not right. After 10 you were not to have tv on and to whisper no outside lights on. Their lights so bright we had to check to make sure our lights were off. The lady and man that checked us in were great.

Awesome campground. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Great campsites. The staff is amazing. Activities for the kids every night. The pool is amazing (Janet, you're awesome). Very clean campground all around. The store has everything and they don't mark up prices too high like some places. Highly recommended. We're coming back for sure. Fair warning, if you're looking to party loud and late, this is not the place for you, it's a nice family campground with nightly patrols and we loved it. Very quiet and respectful campers. Hoping to have a full week spot next year...or month.

This is a family friendly, fun, and very relaxing RV park. Janet and the entire staff are so friendly and accommodating. The staff meticulously cleans and maintains the park. I ve stayed here many times and look forward to many more. This is one of my absolute favorite spots. Many organized activities for adults and kids alike. I read some of the negative reviews and had to chuckle. If you re a bunch of 20 somethings looking to party all night with your softball team, this is not the place for you. The owners are not afraid to enforce the common sense and reasonable rules for the enjoyment of all. Thank goodness! Fortunately, it s rarely a problem. Thank you Oak Park staff! Absolutely love this place.

This is an easy park to love. Large lots, water, sewer and electric. Trees abound, open fields and ponds. A swimming pool heated by firewood. A kids playground. I store that seems to have what you need. A friendly and helpful staff. Clean bathrooms and laundry area. Plenty of OTA TV stations. Xfinity and T-Mobile cell service in LTE was strong.

Quiet, family friendly & very clean!Huge playground. Heated pool; with some shade and sun, seating (benches & 1 table/chairs) and a warm shower to rinse off! Kids having fun in a fenced-in area helped when our beach ball flew away! Safety: They enforce slow driving because children are playing & walking all over. Small dogs, although on a leash, are out on the grounds.Playground: Large playground equipment, swings, and climbing jungle gyms. Close location to the swimming pool and picnic tables. Lots of mature shade trees!!Restrooms: Restrooms are located near the swimming pool, large shade trees with outside access. The sink area has four or five basins with individual soap dispensers and hand towels. The showers are three individual closing partitions. With five separated toilets.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are pre-approved. Must be on a leash at all times and clean up after them.Picnic area: To the east of the office building there is a large shaded area with mature trees. It is overlooking the pond and has four or five picnic tables.

This will be one of your best camping experiences! It was for us. The sites are shady, full hook up. The pool is a good size and the playground was so enjoyed by our granddaughter. The owners are so helpful. They run a tight ship but it was perfect for us! Quiet time is 10 pm and they mean it!! Well stocked camp store and they deliver to your site wood and ice!!. Super clean bathrooms. It is 5 minutes off I 94 and is just west of Alexandria MN. Our son was married at a lake cabin near there. So convenient! Hope we have a reason to go back!!

We've been repeat campers at Oak park for many years now.We love their themed weekends, family atmosphere, and rules. The heated pool is great, the kids love paddle boating on the pond.Glad they keep things up how they do, limits issues we've seen at other campgrounds. Janet and Mike work hard to keep the place clean and well organized.I think it's funny to read people complain about the rules because everything is laid out before hand, you want to sit around and "get toasted by the campfire" and let your kids run wild then go to a municipality or stay home.Definitely a family campground here, not a place to sit around and get drunk, which those are the people usually complaining and getting kicked out because they're being loud all night. It's a quiet, relaxing atmosphere at night where you can look up at the stars and enjoy sitting around the fire without having to hear the conversations of everyone else in the campground.

We stopped as a one night stop. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a nice camp ground. The grounds are kept up nicely and buildings were as well. The bathrooms/showers were spotless. The temperatures were getting below freezing nightly so they told us what hours the water would be off so we could make sure that we had our tanks filled with fresh water. The owner Janet (I hope I heard her name correctly) was very accommodating and walked us to our site. We walked the nature trails and enjoyed the changing colors of the trees. Overall this a nice camp sight to stay. We would stay here longer next time.We camped at Oak Park Kampground in a Fifth Wheel

If you don t get yelled at for having one night light on you will get yelled at for going 5 and a half miles an hour through a park full of dilapidated RVs. Another example how depressed, grumpy, uneducated, permanent residents ruin a good potential spot. Stayed here for a week and could not wait to leave. 30 amp breaker barley work, grounds are not level and so many rules to make your head spin, and don t forget to use a paper towel to turn off the sink faucet! We have been full timing for over a year and a half and never felt so uncomfortable in our lives. You can always tell an honest review if it has one star. Never coming back and that s what they want I am guessing.

Nice, quiet, and beautiful. We can t wait to visit here again. The owners are wonderful, the grounds well manicured, full hookups, and super clean bath houses if you need them. You can t go wrong parking your camper or tent here.

The park is very nice and clean. Staff was helpful and cared about their campground. Nice things they do ... deliver stuff to you. Ie... pizza and ice. Some of the spots are a little to close. Roads are narrow between sites. Soo when the neighbors across the way were outside it felt like they were in our camp site. Especially if your windows are open. It definitely gets FULL during holidays. But, all in all our stay was very good and at times very peaceful. One of the rules was no rugs on grass. But, several people did it and no one said anything. Another was 10pm quiet time but, our across neighbor from us with like 8 to 9 people in one camp site were outside with a fire till about midnight talking and not quiet.

Great campground! So much fun for the family. Our kids had a blast at the pool and playground with all the other kids. Lots of activities for the kids. It's a very clean and kept up place. The showers were really nice and clean. You don't always get that at campgrounds. They do have a lot of rules, but I think that keeps the place pleasant for everyone. We will defiantly be back!

We spent two days and nights at the campgrounds. We are very impressed with the grounds and the the whole experience. We ended up with a different location than what we were originally put down for. But we enjoyed it because we were close to the pond with a great view. We found them to be very accomadating to our needs. The bathroom and lockers were very clean and easy to use. It was quiet and espicially in the evening hours. If there was a higher rating I would give it. We would recommend to others and hope to stay there again. We may even use the rental trailer to stay there. Thank you for a great experience.

This campground might as well be the retirement community campground or something. Yes it was clean and well maintained, but there was not one other family out sitting by a fire any nights we were there. They have some ridiculous lights out rule at 10 which they will enforce. And they kick guests out at 9:30. It was difficult to relax as the staff seemed to always be watching us, trying to catch us breaking some unknown rule. It s conveniently located from Alexandria and near a gas station though.

We love this campground! Beautiful shade trees and nice campsites! We hope to be here for the summers! It's close to North Branch where my daughters family, my granddaughters are. They are 7 and 9 and want to be close! I hear they do a lot of things for the kids!

A dog friendly peaceful respite from the road. They have a tab system and you can have pizza, ice, wood and other items delivered from the camp store to your site. We only planned to stay one night but the campground was welcoming so we extended a second night.Cell coverage - 2/3 bars on verizon(visible) 34mb download speedRestroom cleanliness - clean and welcoming.Camp orderliness - clean but most sites not level. Some sites with full hook-ups.Staff - very friendly and helpful for any needs.Location - 9 miles to Alexandria for Walmart, Menards, and other shopping and attractions.

Love this place. Small, quiet park just off the I94. Laundry, pool, paddle boats, horse shoe pits. Quick delivery of firewood. We have been twice as we travel from Tampa back to Canada. We will for sure stay again. Great email communication by Janet at the park.

I experienced a similar situation to Bill's. This campground loves to police visiting campers. I stayed there with my fiance, elderly mom and dad and our 2 dogs. Throughout our entire stay we received numerous "talks" about various rules we were breaking. Such as our outdoor lights being off after 11(which they were), we received noise complaints during our fires at night which is completely ridiculous when you consider who was in our group. I can't imagine how it would be for a group of young people who are actually enjoying themselves around a fire at night. If my elderly parents were too loud then I don't think anyone can be quiet enough for these people. Especially considering we had trouble hearing ourselves talk over the highway noise this campground gets. Overall it was a nice place with ok amenities but we would NEVER go back. In all our years of camping we have never had any complaints from another place. It is my observation that this campground does not enjoy outside campers that are not seasonal. Oh and my favorite thing is they worry so much about others being quiet but all thought out the day at this facility they blow air horns to signal various campground events. Talk about loud and annoying.
